We are offering full-time, part-time, and before or afterschool care. We will provide snacks, breakfast and lunch. There is an 9 month old and 5 year old boy at home during the day, as well as a seven year old girl who is in grade 2. We also have a small (yorkie) dog, who is great with kids and very friendly. A typical day for us includes both structured time such as doing crafts or puzzles, and unstructured time like watching a show or playing in the backyard. We can bring kids to and from the bus stop in the New Brighton or Mckenzie Towne area. 
Hopefully we can make that a bit easier knowing that your child is being cared for with lots of attention and care.
This will most certainly help other parents!
An orphaned koala found a best friend
Children love toys, and so do baby animals. Let’s remember what joy it gives puppies and kittens to run after rubber balls and plastic mice. But toys have another function – not only entertaining.
An Australian zoo rescued a baby koala that had lost its mother with a toy. An adult animal was hit by a car, and her cub took refuge in a tree, where he was found by volunteers.
According to Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital, baby koalas spend their first few months traveling on their mother’s back – and it’s a miracle the baby was not hurt when his mother was hit by a car.
Another miracle is that a small koala managed to climb a tree where predators could not get it. And if the volunteers had not arrived in time, the little animal could have died of hunger.
“He was lucky he wouldn’t last even a day in the wild at that age,” says hospital director Dr. Rosie Booth. “You could say he was born twice.”
Luckily, the foundling – who was given the name Shane – managed to escape. And so that the baby would not suffer without a mother, the veterinarians gave him a plush koala almost the same height as himself.

“Like most babies, little koalas need a mom to make them feel safe,” says Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. This toy will give him the feeling that Shane will be able to cuddle with it as much as he wants.
We cannot teach him what a mother could teach, but we will do our best to replace her.”
According to them, the appropriately sized plush toy is often used to rehabilitate baby koalas that have lost their parent. And kids are very attached to them. Shane was no exception – now he does not step away from his “friend”, hugging him from morning to evening.
Once Shane is strong enough to reach “weaning” age, he will be transferred to the zoo’s “kindergarten” where he will learn the necessary social skills from other young koalas. And only after that Shane will be released into the wild.
