AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED
We’re so proud!
Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.
SCHOOL-READY
What Learning Looks Like
Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.
Roseville Knowledge Beginnings Programs
Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)
Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.
Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)
Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.
Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)
This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.
Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)
This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!
Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)
When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.
Kindergarten Programs (5–6 Years)
Welcome to kindergarten: the gateway to grade school and everything that
comes next! Offered in select centers, our kindergarten programs have small
class sizes and curriculums that mix learning and fun. The basic building
blocks of reading, writing, math, and science are key in kindergarten, so we
make sure they get lots of practice in all of these areas.
Before- and After-School Programs (5–12 Years)
You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re
at work, with safe transportation from our center to your child’s school and
back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or
create a comic book, they will have a place to follow their dreams. Your child
will start and end the day with a whole lot of fun!
Interactive Kindergarten (5–6 Years)
Kindergarten is a critical year for young learners. Experienced KinderCare teachers will
tap into your child’s natural curiosity to help get them even more prepared for
elementary school. Our engaging lessons make the most of current technology while
offering plenty of hands-on play and exploration.
School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)
Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.
Participating Child Care Aware Center
KinderCare partners with Child Care Aware® of America to offer fee assistance for
Active Duty military families and flexible support to fit their needs when care at a Child
Development Center on the installation is not available.
Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program
Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)
KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.
Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)
Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)
STEM Innovators (3-8 Years)
You’ve probably heard a lot about how important STEM education is for your child, but
what does that really mean? Our STEM Innovators program takes kids’ natural ability to
make sense of the world and applies it to robotics, chemistry, coding, geology, and
more. While your child experiments, they’ll discover how to use technology to do
amazing things!
Dance
Our Teachers
We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.

A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH
An Artist’s Heart
“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.
We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

Our son attended Knowledge Beginnings from Preschool through Kindergarten. He was so prepared for first grade solely due to the wonderful education he received at Knowledge Beginnings. We are so very pleased with both the staff and teachers. They offer a loving and nurturing environment where kids learn and grow. We recommend Knowledge Beginnings to everyone we know.

In February of 2012, we welcomed our first son into the world. For months prior to his birth, we labored over the issue of child care. We explored many different options, including in-home daycare, facilities, and, private home care. Nothing seemed to be the right fit for what we wanted in care, until we toured Knowledge Beginnings. We had been referred by very close friends, as well as multiple co-workers, and had only heard great things about the school. We were skeptical at first, because we wanted to make sure the facility could give the same level of attention and care as in-home options. We wanted our son to be comfortable and loved and happy in his daytime surroundings.
When we showed up for our tour, the Center Director (Ms. Shelly), gave us a thorough tour of the whole center, not just the infant area where our son would be. Upon showing us each room, the one thing we noticed was how vibrant the center was with its many different art projects and decorations. The children’s artwork included their pictures as they were doing the project. Each room, as you went up in age, had its own curriculum and activities planned around the lesson of the week. The focus on the children’s development was very important to us as some of the options we had visited seemed to be more “babysitters” than teachers. Also, when we poked our head into each room, the teacher in each room, no matter what they were doing, made sure to acknowledge us with a smile and “Hello”. After the tour, Ms. Shelly was open to every question we asked, and trust us, we had a lot of them. We knew by the time we walked to our car that Knowledge Beginnings was the only option for our son.
As an infant, our son was loved, encouraged, and assisted in his basic development. One of the first things he learned was basic sign language. Even in the infant room, Miss Theresa, Ms. Bev, and Ms. Staci had a monthly developmental plan for each individual child based on their personal needs and growth. We have every piece of artwork he did in his infant class: from painting to sponge art to sensory collages, we kept it all. In the summer, he participated in water activities and outdoor sing-a-longs. This last year, he joined Miss Tiffany’s music class and has been in musical heaven! He knows all of his letters, can count to 20, knows every color, and can name more animals than probably either of us. Our son is now two-and-a-half, and has grown within KB, and is now in his fourth class. Every day he is expanding his vocabulary, singing new songs, telling us about his lessons, and telling us new books he has been introduced to that we need to add to his growing library. He is learning to be independent, to interact and share with others, to be creative, and most importantly, he is happy.
We enrolled our second son in October of 2013, and he is beyond happy with his teachers and the friends in his class. He, too, is loved and nurtured and educated on a daily basis. He, too, knows sign language and at 13 months he can imitate many animal sounds and identify the animals. His artwork is proudly displayed around our house and offices, right next to big brother’s.
As a parent, you want your child to be happy and feel safe in their environment, and every day our sons cannot wait to get to school. The most important thing that stands out to us as to why Knowledge Beginnings is the RIGHT and BEST choice for our family, is that when we drop off our sons, they cannot wait to hug their teachers and play with their friends. They are so HAPPY and they LOVE their school. When we pick up our sons at the end of the day, we go by each classroom so the boys can say goodbye to each teacher. Knowing that they have made such a strong connection with the staff of Knowledge Beginnings brings a smile to our faces and reinforces that we made the best decision for our sons with regard to their care and nurturing. It really is something to witness as our sons stand at each door waving and saying goodbye, and EACH and EVERY teacher acknowledges both of them by name. That includes the Center Director, Assistant Director and the Operations Manager. We fully recommend Knowledge Beginnings to any parent looking for excellent care, nurturing and early education for their child. They are fully invested in your child’s development and the family unit. They truly are an extension of you.

It is with mixed emotions that our family bids farewell to our second family at Knowledge Beginnings after being a part of it for nearly eight years. Today is really bittersweet because I will personally miss each of you and seeing you every day. Okay, I will NOT miss writing the weekly checks but I will miss all of you and the wonderful care you have provided to my children over all of the years.
When I had my first child (Paige) I was really freaking out as to who I was going to leave her with once I had to return to work. Although I work in Roseville, I began checking around in Auburn, where we live, for daycare. I was horrified. I seriously was in tears over my options and I just did not know what I was going to do. Then I was talking with a friend at work and found out that some of the other “Enterprise Kids” attended Knowledge Beginnings, right around the corner from my office! I went to see Melissa and got the tour and I was sold. I didn’t even care how much it cost! Oh, how naïve I was!
Everything at Knowledge Beginnings is special. From the directors, to the teachers, to the facilities, it is top notch. I started Paige there at the age of five months and cried like a baby the first day I dropped her off. I tried to hide it but I am sure Ms. Theresa thought I was I was crazy. Thank you Ms. Theresa for being there for me in those first, very tough weeks! I was back to normal within a week and the tears finally stopped. As Paige grew she went through all of the classes and some of her teachers are still there today. Another thing I love about Knowledge Beginnings–lots of loyalty! In December of 2008 I was lucky enough to have my son Crosby. I am not so sure those of you at Knowledge Beginnings felt as lucky as I did once he joined his sister there! Oh boy, Crosby was, and still is, a handful! He was lucky to get to be with Ms. Theresa in infants and of course, Ms. Bev. You are still #1! Ms. Irene had the joy of both of my kids. Ms. Barbara had both of my kids too. I just love Ms. Barbara! She was just what the doctor ordered for both of my crazy kids. She always got them right in line and I loved it! Ms. Denise had them both as well, although Crosby tends to forget her name, which is funny to me because he was all about Ms. Denise when he was in her class. Now Ms. April and Ms. Leslie have had the joys of him at his finest; testing the limits and being his normal, crazy, out-of-control self. Thank you for always finding new ways to give him outlets and never making me feel like a mom without control. (When I really did always feel that way!)
As we take the next step to public school, I hope that my children will be as lucky to have such great people teaching them, encouraging them and helping them become their own individuals as we have had there at Knowledge Beginnings. I have personally been positively affected having been a parent of children there and am always telling everyone how wonderful you all are. I have made so many long-lasting friendships with other parents and our children will remain friends long after we leave Knowledge Beginnings. It is funny because when Paige and I talk about who her “best friends” are, the first three people she says are people from Knowledge Beginnings. We still see them when we can but she does not see them very often. It just proves how strong her memories of Knowledge Beginnings are. I also feel like I have made so many friends with staff there and truly will miss seeing you all each day. Thanks to Ms. Shelly for being a REALLY awesome director! You know I love you girls! Although Ms. Annie has not been there long in terms of how long we have been there, I cannot say enough good things about her. What an amazing addition she was! Annie, you are a breath of fresh air and I can only imagine how far you will go in your career. Thanks for being so much fun for us parents and the kids.
Just like the day I first brought Paige there in 2006, I think I will shed some tears as I say goodbye to all of you. I promise to come by and say hi from time to time. Yes Annie, I will!I wish you all nothing but the best! Keep on loving our kids and teaching them as they all get ready to enter the world of education.

The beginning of knowledge: why doubt helps to make decisions

Psychology
Uncertainty is often the best tool for making decisions. If you want to become smarter, learn to say: “I don’t know”
According to an old legend, the great Greek philosopher Socrates was recognized by the priestess-soothsayer of the Delphic Oracle Pythia as the wisest of living people. Socrates replied:
“I am the wisest in the world because I only know that I know nothing.”
If Socrates lived today, he would be disappointed.
We seem to live in a world where everyone is always sure of everything, and no one wants to admit that they can be wrong. Somehow, we decided that it was okay to hold beliefs based on blind belonging rather than strict critical thought. And if you do not take sides, if you doubt, then you should be shunned or branded as ignorant. The effect is hundreds of times enhanced by the Internet. At the same time, few people are able to humbly admit that we cannot know everything, that we often make mistakes. And that’s the problem.
Irrationality of certainty
Everything that we see and observe around us is an approximate image. Our senses take in only a small fraction of the available information, and our brains process even less.
Confidence is an illusion and being wrong is nothing to be ashamed of
By nature, our perception of the world as a whole is wrong. Around us there are smells that we do not feel, sounds that we do not hear, and vision has its limits.
Moreover, our subconscious mind is influenced by thoughts that we do not perceive. This is at a very basic level. If we add the complexity of our interactions with the world through our own systems and ideologies, then it becomes clear that none of us has complete knowledge. Confidence is an illusion, and being wrong is nothing to be ashamed of, because by nature our perception of the world as a whole is wrong.
I don’t know value
Uncertainty is not a state to be avoided, but a tool for making better decisions. Sometimes the best answer is simply “I don’t know.” This is no reason to avoid making difficult decisions. This is either a choice to make a decision in your area of competence, or a chance to gain new knowledge. Every day we come across things in which we do not understand anything. If they are not relevant, then not knowing them is fine. If you need them, then it’s better to think about it.
wikipedia.org
People don’t feel comfortable in areas of ignorance, but instead of gaining new knowledge or admitting their incompetence, they try to extract everything they remember about similar things.
In the long run, this tactic is not beneficial. The phrase “I don’t know” not only keeps us in our area of expertise and awareness, where the risk of potential harm is low, but also works as a feedback channel.
This is a competitive advantage because it encourages critical thinking rather than taking the easy way out. She makes us smarter.
We live in a world full of ideas, and not all of them are good, and not all of them are right for everyone. Ask questions, be critical, and don’t be afraid to change your point of view. No one makes progress by standing in one place. Opening your mind is normal.

Day of Knowledge – the beginning of the path to success
396 students, including 41 first-graders, started studying in the district’s schools.
The first fine September day, really like in a song, began with a bright sun and gathered everyone on the square of the district center, where, according to tradition, a solemn assembly dedicated to the new academic year always takes place.
The celebration was attended by students and teachers, parents, graduates, veterans of pedagogical work, honored guests. Among them: Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Informatization and Communications of the Novgorod Region Sergey Rodyukov, head of the district Alexander Bulenkov, head of the Poddorsky rural settlement Sergey Petrov, chairman of the education committee of the district Nadezhda Tikhonova, director of the MAOUSOSH of the village of Poddorye Margarita Shalashova. From each of them congratulations, wishes and parting words sounded.
The first graders did not stand aside either. A little embarrassed and agitated, they read poems in which they firmly assured everyone that they would study for one five. The current 11th graders also had a response. This is their last academic year at the school, which has become their home. Many furtively wiped away an uninvited tear, but, confidently taking the small hand of a first-grader in their hand and making a “lap of honor”, they proudly accepted the kids into their large, friendly school family …
For a long time, music sounded on the square and laughter was heard, because the solemn line smoothly turned into a children’s holiday.
Let learning bring joy.
Every person wants to be successful, and in order to find their place in life, knowledge is needed, – says Nadezhda TIKHONOVA, chairman of the district education committee. – After all, it is knowledge that gives in the future the opportunity to choose a place of study, work and, accordingly, a certain standard of living. And it is the school that gives an important start to every person in life.
The long -awaited summer flew quietly, and again the children hurry to school classes. Employees of educational institutions have worked hard in the summer to prepare schools and kindergartens for the start of the school year. Repairs were carried out, new equipment was purchased. The bright classes froze in anticipation of their restless, inquisitive masters.
On September 1, 396 students started studying in the district schools, including 41 first-graders. On September 3, children-pupils returned to preschool institutions. These days we wish them and older schoolchildren that their dreams come true. May learning bring you joy! Learning is not always easy, but this is your first work, which will become a stepping stone for you on the path to great success in life. Teachers and parents – patience and worldly wisdom. Great success in the process of education and understanding with children. Happy new school year!
Congratulations and wishes.
Alexander Bulenkov, head of the district.
— Good afternoon, dear students. Today they are no longer boys, today they are already students. Dear teachers, parents! September 1, just recently, a year ago, we stood here with you and saw off another eleventh grade in the last year of school. We met other first-graders, who are already in the second grade today, and now new children are standing here on this square. And you know, the biggest wish is that it never ends. So that there are always first-graders, there is always a graduating class. It means the earth will live, it means the earth will prosper. I especially want to welcome the new 11th grade. Guys, this is a very important year, which determines how you will go on in life, what you will do, how to glorify the land of Poddor.
Dear first graders, dear parents of first graders! You also have a holiday today, you are starting to go through a new curriculum on a new one. Therefore, patience to you on this path, knowledge. And, of course, to you, dear teachers, obedient, grateful students, so that they always love, remember and know you. Happy holiday everyone!

Sergei Rodyukov, Deputy Chairman of the Informatization and Communications Committee of the Novgorod Region.
– I want to wish that in the new academic year you have enough strength to study everything that teachers give you. Teachers as much patience and creativity as possible on this difficult path, and all together and parents too, so that at the end of the year we can boast that we have overcome this difficult task, this work and are ready to move on along your life path.
Nadezhda Tikhonova, Chairman of the Education Committee of the District.
– I want to congratulate all those present at the solemn line on the holiday. This is a holiday for all people. Like a new year, our new school year starts. We can make wishes, set new goals, and I sincerely believe that everything will work out for us if we purposefully strive for them.
Our school has great potential. Last year there were a small number of graduates – 24 in the district. And got 4 gold medals. This is a wonderful result, that is, our teachers have such a level of qualification that they can give full knowledge to each of you. There is such an opportunity to get this knowledge from our first-graders, who today are beautiful and smartly come to this festive line.
Our 11th graders grew up and matured just a few days before school. So serious and a little sad. Do not be sad, your last year of school life is both the joy of communication and new knowledge. I sincerely wish you good luck, aim for the result in the unified state exam and show everyone everything to the maximum as you can. And I know you can.
Dear teachers, parents, of course, every day you will be next to your children.
