AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

Webster KinderCare Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.

Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

Before- and After-School Programs (5–12 Years)

You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re
at work, with safe transportation from our center to your child’s school and
back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or
create a comic book, they will have a place to follow their dreams. Your child
will start and end the day with a whole lot of fun!

School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare partners with Child Care Aware® of America to offer fee assistance for
Active Duty military families and flexible support to fit their needs when care at a Child
Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program

Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)

In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!

Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)

KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.

Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)

Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)

Spanish

Spanish Adventures provides young learners with a foundation for later success with
the Spanish language. Music, games, children’s Spanish literature, and other tools give
children multiple opportunities to hear, practice, and see Spanish language to develop
vocabulary and conversation skills. Curriculum includes lessons on greetings, numbers,
colors, animals, family, body parts, and pets, as well as how to engage conversationally
during common scenarios at home, a restaurant, or at the zoo.

STEM Innovators (3-8 Years)

You’ve probably heard a lot about how important STEM education is for your child, but
what does that really mean? Our STEM Innovators program takes kids’ natural ability to
make sense of the world and applies it to robotics, chemistry, coding, geology, and
more. While your child experiments, they’ll discover how to use technology to do
amazing things!

Our Teachers

We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.

Meet just a few of our amazing KinderCare teachers!

A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH

An Artist’s Heart

“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.

We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

Family Stories

Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!

  • Bringing your newborn to day care, and in our case, our first child can be very scary. You are trusting someone else with your child, hoping your child will connect with the teachers and other babies and that everything goes OK and they don’t spend their day in tears. Well the only one that ended up in tears all day was me. Abigail was fine. In fact, she did better than I could have imagined. And of course after day one, I was fine too, despite thinking I was going to cry every single day I dropped her off. There is a reason I didn’t cry every single day – KinderCare is that reason – and the infant room teachers specifically. I have never in my life felt so comfortable with leaving her somewhere and I have never felt so welcome. They were so nurturing and accommodating not just to my three-month-old, but to me. And that is exactly what I needed. Now my tears occur from the adorable art projects they send home and the personal touches and the day to day activities they do with my daughter. I am just as excited to drop her off at day care each morning as I am to pick her up because I know she is going to have a fun and enriching day. I tell everyone I know about the KinderCare in Webster and the amazing staff. They have allowed me and my husband to continue working and feel 100% confident in her care while we are busy at our jobs each day. Our daughter is nine months old now and is literally jumping out of our arms when she sees her teachers. We honestly could not ask for more and are so thankful that we took the tour and brought her there. By far one of the best decisions we have made for our daughter so far. A big thank you to everyone at Webster KinderCare for making our family feel so welcome and for the amazing care you provide Abby each day!

    Kristin – KinderCare Parent
  • We started with KinderCare in April of 2012. We have three children that now attend KinderCare, ages 1, 2 and 6. We have nothing but excellent things to say about the staff and the program. The kids absolutely love to go to KinderCare everyday and look forward too going back when they have been absent. The amount of development that we have observed in our kids is astronomical. Our one and two-year-olds are learning sign language and well beyond their years in educational development. The school age program is helping prepare my six-year-old son to exceed in his first grade class and beyond. We feel right at home each and every time we walk through the doors of our KinderCare Webster location. We never worry throughout the day whether or not the kids are being taken care of as if they were right at home with one of us. Kudos to the staff at KinderCare. They truly care about the kids!

Description:

I am looking for a family with 1 or 2 young children in need of a safe and happy home day care. And/or families with school age children in need or before/after school care. I’ve always had a passion for childdevelopment, caring for children and spent 20+ years in child watch and teaching at a private preschool, in addition to raising 3 very successful children of my own. My philosophy towards raising children is providing opportunities to play, explore, imagine, build and create and stimulate their growing minds. I believe that books and reading is most important. Reading to children is so rewarding to me. I raised my children that a family is a team and we all have to work together which I really feel fosters compassionate team players. I’ve found that I’ve become really good at redirecting the energy of strong willed children when need be as I raised a strong willed child of my own. And children who have a tendency to be shy feel safe with me because I also raised a child who struggled with this. I am a very compassionate and patient person who loves children! State Plaza – darriuss – LiveJournal

Few things were more fruitful for the modernists of the 1950s and 70s than the projects for regional, national, and international government centers. Chandigarh, Brasilia, UNO-City. Empire State Plaza, a complex of administrative and public buildings in the state capital of New York, also occupies a worthy place in the same row.

Empire State Plaza Albany New York, USA
1965-78
Architects: Wallace Harrison, Max Abramovitz and others.

The creation of a new administrative cluster to house the government offices of the State of New York was Governor Nelson Rockefeller’s favorite brainchild. Development on the 39-hectare site began in 1965 with an initial budget of $250 million, stretched over 13 years, and ultimately cost $1.7 billion, for which Rockefeller is still reproached. But thanks to him and the architect Harrison, one of the creators of the UN headquarters in New York, the semi-provincial Albany received a skyline that other capitals of rather big states can envy.

Photo from here.

So, first of all, about the disposition. The square in the southwestern corner is the Cultural and Educational Center. From the northeast, Empire State Plaza is bounded by an extremely long building on Swan Street (Swan Street Building), in front of which are four identical “Agency Buildings”. To the northwest are the Parliament Buildings (longer) and the small State Courthouse. Finally, opposite the Agency Buildings in the southeast, the high-rise tower named after Erastus Corning and the so-called. “Egg”, concert hall.

Now the same from the helicopter. In the foreground are the Swan Street Building and the Agency Buildings, then clockwise – the Parliament Building, the Court (between the last two the State Capitol remained from the 19th century), the “Egg”, the Erastus Corning Tower, the Cultural and Educational Center.

Southeast skyline (from the Hudson River). Erastus Corning Tower, four Agency Buildings and the “Egg”. The entire complex is located on one base, the road goes into the tunnel under it. The stylobate contains the so-called. “Concourse”: shops, restaurants, banks, etc.

And again southwest, only from the middle, largest pond. In perspective, the New York State Capitol. To the left and to the right of it, respectively, are the Parliament Building and the Court.

Inside the “Egg” there are two theater and concert halls (for 450 and 982 seats).

Nearby Erastus Corning Tower, named after the mayor of Albany in 1941-83, under which the Empire State Plaza was built up (by the way, it also has the prefix “name” – in honor of Nelson Rockefeller) .

There is an observation deck on the 42nd floor of the Tower. Here is an example of a view from it to the northeast. One can perfectly imagine what a village Albany would be if it were not for the Empire State Plaza.

Read Dear Foe – Jean Webster – Page 2

Please don’t protest that I put your family in such a position. This is for diplomatic reasons. The entire staff was present, and I thought it was time to emphasize that all these amazing innovations are straight from the headquarters, and not from my unlucky head.

Children stopped eating and goggled. The unusual color of my hair and the frivolity of my nose obviously do not suit the manager. My colleagues also made it clear to me that they considered me too young and inexperienced to be the boss. I have yet to see the interesting Scottish doctor praised by Jervis, but I assure you he will have to be very interesting to reward me for everyone else, especially the kindergarten teacher, Miss Sneys. We immediately ran into her, talking about the fresh air; but I decided to get rid of this terrible bureaucratic smell, even if I had to freeze each child in an icicle of ice.

Today is a sunny and snowy day, so I ordered the dungeon, called the playroom, to be locked up, and the children to be taken outside.

“They’re kicking me out. ..” grumbled one kid, with difficulty getting into a coat that he had outgrown by at least two years.

They just stood in the yard, patiently waiting to be allowed back in. No running, no shouting, no laughter, no pranks! Just think, these kids can’t play.

Even later.

Started a pleasant activity – spending your money. Bought eleven heating pads today (there were no more in the village pharmacy), as well as several rugs and blankets. Now the windows in the dorms are wide open. Poor babies will experience a whole new sensation – to breathe at night.

I have a lot of things to grumble about, but it’s half past ten and Jane says to go to bed.

Your empowered

Sally McBride.

P.S. Before I went to bed, I tiptoed down the hallway to make sure everything was in order. What do you think I saw? Miss Snais, quietly shutting the windows in the dormitory of the little ones. As soon as I find a suitable position for her in some almshouse, I will fire her immediately.

Jane takes the pen from my hand.

Good night!

John Grier Orphanage

February 20th.

Dear Judy!

Dr. Robin McRae came by today to meet the new headmaster. The next time he visits New York, please invite him to dinner and see for yourself what your husband has done. Jervis is a vile liar. Just think, he impressed me that one of the main advantages of living here is daily communication with such a brilliant, cultured, learned person as a doctor.

He is tall and thin; he has sandy hair and cold gray eyes. In the hour that he spent in my company (and I was the most courtesy), not even the shadow of a smile softened the hard line of his mouth. Can a shadow soften? It seems not. Anyway, what’s wrong with him? Did he commit a terrible crime, or should his silence be attributed to the fact that he is a Scot? He is sociable as a tombstone!

By the way, our doctor didn’t like me any more than I liked him. He considers me frivolous, inconsistent and completely unsuitable for this responsible post. I believe that Jervis has already received a letter from him asking him to fire me.

Our conversation didn’t go well at all. He philosophized on the topic “What is lacking in public care for street children,” and I lightly complained about the ugly hairstyle of our girls.

To prove the truth of my words, I called Sadie Kat, my orphan, for special assignments. Her hair is pulled back so tightly, as if it had been screwed with a wrench, and braided into two pig tails. Of course, orphan ears need to be covered, but Dr. Robin McRae does not care at all whether their ears are beautiful or not, he is only interested in their stomachs. We parted on the issue of petticoats. I can’t imagine how a girl will respect herself when she’s wearing a red flannel skirt, one and a half uneven inches sticking out from under a blue cotton dress, but he thinks that flannel skirts are very cheerful, warm and hygienic. I foresee a very militant reign for the new manager.

True, our doctor has one advantage: he is almost as new here as I am, and therefore will not be able to lecture me about the traditions of the orphanage. I don’t think I could have worked with the old doctor, who, judging by the patterns of his art, understood children no more than a veterinarian.

The entire staff teaches me shelter etiquette. Even the cook told me firmly this morning that the John Grier Orphanage had cornmeal porridge on Wednesdays.

Are you diligently looking for another supervisor? I will stay until she arrives, but please find her quickly.

Yours, definitely

and determined,

Sally McBride.

Head office.

John Grier Orphanage.

February 21st.

Dear Gordon!

Are you still offended that I didn’t follow your advice? Don’t you know that a red-haired person with Irish ancestors and a mixture of Scottish blood must be influenced not by force, but by gradualness and delicacy? If your tone were not so imperious, I would meekly listen to you – and I would be saved. And now … all these five days I bitterly repent. You were right and I was wrong; You see, I honestly admit it. If I ever get out of the trap, I will be guided (almost always) by your opinions. Can a woman go for a more complete surrender?

Judy’s romantic halo around this orphanage exists only in her poetic imagination. The house is terrible. Words can’t describe how dark, gloomy and smelly it is. Endless corridors, bare walls, small inhabitants in blue dresses, with doughy faces, not at all like human children. And – ah! That dreadful official smell! A mixture of dry floors, unventilated rooms, and food for a hundred people constantly boiling on the stove.

Not only the orphanage needs to be redone, but each child individually, and this is too much for such a selfish, spoiled and lazy person as Sally McBride. I’ll resign the minute Judy finds me a suitable successor, but I’m afraid it won’t be soon. She went south and left me stranded; and, of course, since I promised, I can’t just take and leave her shelter. In the meantime, I can assure you, I am desperately homesick.

Write me an encouraging letter and send me a flower to decorate my office. I inherited it with all the furnishings from Mrs Lippet. Wallpaper – red with brown; the furniture is plush, bright blue, except for the table in the center of the room, which is gilded. The carpet is dominated by green. If you sent some pink roses, they would complete the color scheme.

I was really nasty that evening, but you are avenged.

Penitent

Sally McBride.

P.S. You shouldn’t grumble like that about a Scottish doctor. This is the quintessence of everything that is meant by the word “Scotch”. I hated him from the first meeting, and he hates me. What a delightful time we’ll have working shoulder to shoulder!

February 29th.

My dear Gordon!

I received your impressive and expensive message. I know that you have a lot of money, but this is not a reason to spend it so recklessly. When you feel that you are bursting with the desire to speak and only a hundred-word telegram will protect you from an explosion, try at least to be satisfied with a letter.
