Three people were killed and another 6 bystanders were injured in a shooting incident in Washington. As previously reported, shooting at people was opened from a car
passing through the outskirts of the city.
In the USA, a Russian child died at the hands of foster parents. The victim was seven-year-old Vanya Skorobogatov from Chelyabinsk. In 2003, he was adopted by Americans Michael and Nannet Craver and received a new name – Nathaniel Michael Craver. nine0007
In the USA, a Russian child died at the hands of foster parents. The victim was seven-year-old Vanya Skorobogatov from Chelyabinsk. In 2003, he was adopted by Americans Michael and Nannet Craver and received a new name – Nathaniel Michael Craver. Together with him, his twin sister left for a new family in the small village of Carroll Township (Pennsylvania). American authorities say she is safe.
Foster parents taken into custody. They are formally charged with murder. A preliminary hearing in their case has been scheduled for March 31. nine0007
Judging by the results of the preliminary investigation, Vanya-Nathaniel was starved to death and beaten. It happened half a year ago, but the arrest and the presentation of charges were made only now, after the completion of the investigation.
According to the indictment cited by the local press, the boy died on August 25, 2009 at a local hospital from complications of a brain injury. The foster parents claimed that on August 19 he fell and hit his head on the stove. The next morning, they said, they found him motionless in bed and took him to the doctors. They immediately realized that he was dying, and connected him to an artificial life support system. A few days later, at the request of the Senior Cravers, this system was turned off. nine0007
A later medical examination revealed more than 80 bruises “in various stages of healing” on Vanya-Nathaniel’s body, including 20 on his head. The boy was also in an extreme state of exhaustion. The adoptive parents claimed that he was a “difficult child” and had a tendency to self-harm.
However, the adoptive grandparents of the baby on the father’s side do not confirm this. But they remembered how he was afraid to shiver of punishment for any petty offense. They saw him last May and were horrified by his appearance: the boy’s eyes were completely swollen, like slits. nine0007
The foster parents claimed that he rubbed them. And another relative, aunt, recalls how in August Vanya-Nathaniel clung to her and would not let go for anything. His face was again very swollen, and a woman accidentally discovered a huge bump on her head. Explanations were all the same: “fell.” No evidence of the child visiting a doctor in 2009 was found.
Curiously, the neighbors speak of 45-year-old Michael Craver and his 54-year-old wife rather positively. In particular, they note that the adoptive father liked to play in the yard with the children. nine0007
The circumstances of the new nightmarish story are reminiscent of the tragic death in 2000 of seven-year-old Vitya Tulimov at the hands of foster parents in the United States.
