    1. Humanist education for the little ones.

The educator must communicate with the child with attention and interest, respect him. This is the basis of kindergarten education. Although this idea seems simple at first glance, it is extremely difficult to implement in practice. When there are 25 children in a group, it is difficult to take into account the personality of each. However, the child’s personality becomes harmonious and comprehensively developed only in conditions of social interaction built on the basis of respect with parents, peers and other adults. It is the attentive attitude of the educator with the recognition of the individuality of the child that makes it possible to form this harmony. nine0003

    2. What about GEF?

Preschool education has also been “standardized” for some time now.

The standard was developed under the leadership of A. Asmolov and entered into force in 2013. A lot of time has passed since preschool education became the level of general education, and one can look at the Federal State Educational Standard from a retrospective perspective. He changed the principle of the kindergarten – now, instead of mass preparation for school, educators seek the individual development of the child and his abilities, which is consistent with the humanistic approach. Clear requirements for the educational program were established. It should consist of 2 parts: mandatory and optional, developed in kindergarten. What is good, preschool children have neither intermediate nor final certification. With the consent of the parents, kindergarten educators and psychologists can assess the dynamics of children’s development. The purpose of preschool education according to the Federal State Educational Standard is to create conditions for the formation of universal educational activities. For the first time, the concept of “subject-developing environment” was included in the standard, which means that a simple list of equipment that is presented in kindergarten is not enough to ensure full development. You need to understand how the whole space is arranged, how the life of a child is organized. This is not an easy task, which requires not only the renovation of the space of all groups of kindergartens, but also a large amount of understanding of the work by the educators themselves. nine0003

    3. Inclusion.

Another major trend is the penetration of inclusion everywhere. They talk a lot about it, but do, in fact, little. And that’s the problem. This applies not only to children with disabilities and the disabled, but also, in principle, special children: gifted, deviant, in risk groups. Each of them must find their place in kindergarten, and then in school. What best demonstrates the difference between medical and social approaches in understanding inclusion? Fiction, and in particular the delightful work “Blue Star” by A. Kuprin. The author shows that those who do not fit a certain conditional “norm”, a model, are unsuccessful, but as soon as they change the “norm”, the conditions of existence, success comes to them. Educational organizations in modern times are best able to cope with the tasks of forming the norm, but not the multivariance of life patterns. nine0003

So far, it should be noted that only 18% of kindergartens in the Russian Federation, according to 2018 data, can boast of inclusion. The object-spatial environment in most preschool organizations is not accessible to children with special needs, and it does not differ in variety.

    4. Creation of new educational spaces.

This also applies to the architecture of the educational space – the physical building, and the relationship between the participants. Here, innovation is in full swing, because information technology has made a leap forward in solving the issues of space design and communication methods. nine0003

With regard to the electronic educational environment, which is pushed into the school space with such force, this is one of the most controversial issues in preschool education. Is it necessary? Children under 5 who systematically interact with a huge number of gadgets often experience a lack of interaction with reality. They play much less real games, and games are the best way to develop preschool children, they cooperate much less with adults and peers, which affects the development of their social intelligence. Therefore, the widespread use of ICT may be completely unnecessary and even harmful here. First of all, the teacher needs an electronic educational environment; it has advantages only as an environment for methodological support, and not as a formative environment for children. nine0003

    5. Focus on “preparing children for”

Kindergarten prepares children for school, school prepares children for the Unified State Examination and university, university prepares children for life, and so on. Such motivation for applied goals takes away a key educational feature from education. After all, children not only have to pass the exam, they also have to become good people. Therefore, in kindergarten, the teacher should not prepare the child for school, but help him develop the existing abilities “now”. To achieve this goal, the space in the garden should be designed as cozy, “homely”, so it is easier for children to adapt. It is desirable to form small groups in order to individualize the learning process. And, of course, it is necessary to apply modern educational technologies. nine0003

You can try to implement the concept of “one week – one skill” invented by the Japanese. In this way, only skills that are necessary for independence today, such as tying shoelaces, are formed.

    6. Investing in the future

Pre-school education is unconditionally recognized as the most important period in laying the intellectual and other abilities of children. Therefore, both free and direct educational activities (the term of the Federal State Educational Standards of Education) must be really effective. As most often recognized, the most effective learning for preschoolers is through play. The market of educational games is gradually saturated with various tools. nine0003

Good learning is always a combination of approaches, and classical studies with textbooks and lectures, and computer programs. The right combination helps to generate interest. In preschool education, you can use special kits for design, robotics, mastering elementary skills, and scientific creativity. And it is better for kindergarten to deal with this issue today.

Let’s summarize. Over the past 30 years, a significant thing has happened – preschool education has become perceived as a very significant step in life, giving certain human qualities to young people that you will not get at any other age. Therefore, the GEF DO appeared, which outlined what needs to be done and how, determined the directions of development, the requirements for the “object-spatial environment”. A whole market of pre-school education has emerged, researchers are paying close attention to it, and pre-school education itself has made a qualitative impression.0003

    Experience of foreign kindergartens

Different approaches in European kindergartens are interesting. For example, a kindergarten in Stockholm rejects gender stereotypes. Boys can dance ballet there, and girls can climb trees as high as they can. In the gardens of the UK, children play in the mud, thus exploring the world by experience, and the Dolli-Einstein-Haus kindergarten in the German city of Pinneberg introduced elections for children from 3 years old. They allow children to vote on lunch options and even choose a representative from each group. According to the director, this will help develop democratic thinking among pupils. There are a huge number of different examples of revitalizing the educational process in kindergartens, so take examples, turn on your imagination and create with the blog from Roskonkurs. nine0003

In your opinion, what are the most important changes that have taken place in kindergartens lately? What else needs to be changed? Share your experience in the comments.

Preschool education in Spain can be divided into two stages:
    • Kindergarten in Spain – Escuela Infantil (for children from 0 to 3 years old)
    • College Preparatory Classes – Aula Infantil en colegio de primaria (for children from 3 to 6 years old)

At the first stage in Spanish kindergartens, the emphasis is on the overall development of the child: physical, intellectual, adaptation in a team, development of independence skills, etc. Classes are held in a playful way in a complex with dance and music classes. The school day can be full with lunch and an afternoon snack, it can be shortened (for example, six hours) – it depends on the particular kindergarten. In private kindergartens, they tend to complete small groups of children – 5-10 people; in public kindergartens, groups may be larger. Private kindergartens in Spain are often run by colleges. For children attending such kindergartens, college places are reserved in advance. nine0003

The cost of staying in a Spanish kindergarten varies from institution to institution. On average, it is 200-500 euros per month. An alternative to kindergartens is a nanny, whose services cost approximately 5-10 euros per hour.

After kindergarten, pre-school education in Spain continues into college preparatory classes. Studying includes learning to read, write, count, logic. As in kindergarten, there are music and dance lessons. The teaching of a foreign language can be started (for example, in private colleges, where the main teaching will be conducted in English). With a group of children all three years, one educator-teacher has been engaged. nine0003

It is believed that after three years of pre-school education in Spain, received in preparatory classes, the child will be fully prepared for college. In addition to classes, interesting excursions are organized for children, for children who have just arrived in Spain from other countries – enhanced Spanish courses.

The cost of studying in the preparatory classes of a private college will cost an average of 200 to 1000 euros. Education in public colleges is free, but parents are forced to pay extra for school transport and lunches (optional). nine0003

Whether you are enrolling your child in a public school or a private school, there is no need to prove legal residence in Spain. This attitude can be called a huge plus of the current Spanish legislation. The educational institution will only require a document proving the identity of the child (their own passport or the passport of the parent where the child is entered), as well as, in case of arrival from another country, a vaccination certificate duly executed and translated into Spanish at the Spanish Consulate in Moscow or by a jury translator in Spain. nine0003

In general, pre-school education in Spain is an excellent opportunity to prepare for college studies in a peer group, plunging directly into the language environment.
