AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

Delhi KinderCare Programs

Toddler Programs (1-2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2-3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3-4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4-5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5-12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.

Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program

Cooking Academy™ (3-12 Years)

In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!

Music Explorers™ (2-4 Years)

KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.

Phonics Adventures® (2-4 Years)

Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)

Our Teachers

We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.

Meet just a few of our amazing KinderCare teachers!

A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH

An Artist’s Heart

“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.

We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

About Buckley Country Day School

Buckley Country Day School co-educational independent day school Provides elementary and secondary education to 330 students with toddlers aged 8 and under in Roslyn, NY.

Buckley was founded in 1923 and opened the doors of its first building in Great Neck to a class of 23 children. At first it was a day school, but for a time it accepted boarding school students from the middle classes.

It is registered with the State University of New York Board of Trustees. The school is accredited by the New York State Association of Independent Schools and a member of the National Association of Independent Schools.

Buckley Country Day School Campus

Buckley has a 100,000 square foot campus that includes an academic building, a library, three athletic fields, tennis courts, and a playground. The building houses all classrooms, two science labs, two computer labs, an art studio, a woodwork shop, and three gyms.

The newly built Hagedorn Library Learning Center contains over 16,000 volumes and is already being used by kindergarten students.

The campus has four outdoor swimming pools, which are only open during the summer during Camp Buckley and at year-end parties, and a pond.

The campus was built on land that was once part of a colonial farm owned by Isaac Underhill Willets.

Buckley has a number of traditions. Each eighth grader designs and cuts a square wooden panel. They are installed in the corridors of the school.

These plaques list each student’s first and last name since 1927 and their high school year. Both the 8th and 3rd grades produce items annually. Every year, first-graders play the Nutcracker ballet. Since 1973, the school has hosted an autumn fair every October.

Why Buckley Country Day School?

Country Day Buckley’s goal is to offer classical education with an emphasis on academic excellence. The curriculum is a holistic and rigorous academic program focusing on core skills in mathematics, reading and writing using a wide range of technology and teaching skills.

This curriculum motivates and challenges students by supporting differentiated learning, interdisciplinary opportunities and technology.

Students are encouraged to take risks and have ample opportunity to develop their artistic skills, whether in forestry, drama, band, art or choir.

Buckley prepares students for the demands of high school by combining an extensive curriculum, school traditions and a solid academic program.

Buckley Country Day School Student-teacher ratio

The student-teacher ratio at Buckley Village Day School is 7:1; which means that teachers have fewer students to teach at a time. This enhances individuality and effective student orientation. The school employs just over 50 teachers for 350 students.

Buckley Country Day School Admissions

All 2023 admissions activities are virtual. Parents are encouraged to apply for the Buckley Virtual Open House on behalf of their son or daughter, or to schedule a call to the school’s admissions office.

BCDS continually makes approval decisions; Families are encouraged to start this process early in the fall.

Buckley parents interested in our 2 Year Old Toddler Program can enroll their child two, three or five days a week by completing the registration form.

Some areas also require your child to attend daycare. Parents must apply to their district transportation office by April 1 for the next school year.

Buckley Village Day School uses Ravenna to collect requests and manage the submission process. By submitting this form, you will send your information to Buckley Country Day School. After filling out the form, you will have the opportunity to register for upcoming events that the school has made.

Early Childhood | Toddler Kindergarten

Buckley’s Early Childhood Program includes our Toddler, Kindergarten, Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs.

The Toddler Program offers a smooth transition from home to school in a loving and caring environment. Independence, creativity, imagination and early language skills are encouraged through socialization and play.

Our nursery and preschool programs give children the opportunity to explore the world around them in a safe environment.

Kindergartens and preschools encourage dramatic play and creative expression through art and music.

Speaking and listening skills develop through storytelling and listening to each other. Pupils are also exposed to the world’s languages at preschool age.

The curriculum of the kindergarten provides for the transition to the next academic level. When kindergarten teachers understand that children need to continue to communicate and learn through play, they start with more formal lessons.

Literacy is an integral part of the program and is defined by our participation in the Reading and Writing Project at Columbia Teachers College.

They encourage and inform us about reading and writing and ensure that our teachers and students are up to date with the latest literacy research.

Lower Level: First to Fourth Grade

The curriculum is rigorous and innovative. Primary students receive lessons in languages, math, social studies, science, geography, world languages, art, music, and technology.

Recognizing that children learn by combining new experiences with previous knowledge, experienced teachers carefully prepare assignments to stimulate discussion and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

You bring different subject areas together in a thematic approach to keep learning meaningful and relevant.

By exposing students to good literature, useful research skills, solid student habits, and organizational skills, they become students for life.

In addition, because of their ability to know where and how to find the information they need, and to communicate and collaborate constructively with others, they are well prepared for the future that awaits them.

High School

The Buckley High School program reflects a student-centered global mindset and philosophy. It combines a dynamic curriculum with an innovative block plan that allows time for reflection and deeper learning of the course material.

Senior educators strike a balance between skill and content in their lesson plans, using skills development projects and technologies that provide young people with a springboard to advance in the future.

These skills include analytical thinking, critical writing, language fluency and creative expression. Daily experience has an interdisciplinary connection between the humanities, natural sciences, world languages and art.

In 7th and 8th grade, students can take the High School Admission Test (SSAT), a competitive high school that competitive high schools use as part of the admissions process. Buckley’s students performed outstandingly on these tests.

Buckley Hagedorn Library

The Hagedorn Library Learning Center is a beautiful, easy-to-use facility that doubles as a clearing house for research and knowledge.

This is a place where students learn to love literature, to process and use information effectively in all formats.

It features a state of the art multimedia room, enrichment room, extra classrooms, high school and junior high school book collections, a story room with pictures and resources for younger children, a reference collection and networked computers including wireless laptops.

Fourth grade kindergarten students have library lessons once a week. In the fifth and sixth grades of high school, students meet once a week as part of a joint library and technology program.

Teachers have planned an independent study for seventh and eighth grade students. In addition to scheduled classes, teachers plan library and computer time for specific projects throughout the year.
