Under current federal law, eligible families can claim 2021 child care tax credits up to the following maximum amounts:

  • $8,000 from the federal Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit (up to $4,000 for each of your first two children). For 2021, this is a refundable credit.
  • $6,728 from the federal Earned Income Tax Credit.
  • $3,600 per child under six (as of December 31, 2021) and $3,000 for children 17 or younger (as of December 31, 2021) from the federal Child Tax Credit (these amounts were permanently enacted into the law).

There are rules for these federal tax credits, so please speak to your tax advisor about how they apply to your family. In the meantime, this child care tax credits calculator is a quick tool for a broad estimate.

Child care subsidy | Alberta.ca

A child’s subsidy rate is determined by total family income, type of child care program, and the number of hours the child attends in a month. Use Line 15000 from the most recent CRA Notice of Assessment to determine gross household income.

  • Subsidy for 0 to Kindergarten-age (child care during school hours)

    Under the new federal-provincial child care agreement, all parents of children 0 to kindergarten-age (in kindergarten and also attending child care during regular school hours) will pay less for child care through:

    • expanded subsidy eligibility with new rates and income thresholds, and/or
    • affordability grants provided directly to child care operators to reduce fees

    Eligible families with a combined gross income under $180,000 a year can receive subsidy to further reduce child care fees based on the income thresholds below. The combined benefits of affordability grants and subsidies should be considered when estimating your new costs.

    If you already receive child care subsidy, you do not need to reapply. If you are not currently receiving subsidy and meet the eligibility criteria, apply now.

    Kindergarten children who attended child care during regular school hours during the school year will continue to receive the same subsidy rate during the summer months unless a change is reported. The affordability grant fee reduction will also still be applied during the summer months.

  • Subsidy for Kindergarten to Grade 6 (child care outside school hours)

    A school age child’s subsidy rate will continue to be determined by total family income, the child’s age, the child care program, and the number of hours the child attends in a month.

    Families earning under $90,000 gross annually with children in kindergarten to Grade 6 enrolled in a licensed program outside of regular school hours are eligible for child care subsidy.

    Review the eligibility requirements for more information on how to qualify for subsidy and how to calculate your total family income. Additionally, find out if you are an individual who is temporarily not required to file a Canadian tax return to qualify, and what to do in the event of a recent reduction in income.

  • Preschool subsidy

    Families with an annual income of less than $180,000 with children enrolled in a licensed preschool program can apply for a subsidy of $125 per month.

    Families can only receive one subsidy type. Families who have children enrolled in any other licensed program will receive the subsidy type with the highest subsidy rate.

    Families must meet the child care subsidy eligibility requirements to qualify.

  • Extended hours subsidy

    The extended hours subsidy assists families who require child care outside of the regular hours of 6 am to 6 pm or on weekends to receive, in addition to the child care subsidy, an extra $100 per month per child.

    • The licensed program must be approved to offer extended hours of care.
    • The child must require 4 or more hours of extended hours of care in a month for the family to receive the additional $100.
    • The child is not using overnight accommodation and receiving an overnight affordability grant. These families will instead see reduced savings through increased affordability grants, regardless of family income.

  • Summer subsidy

    To assist parents with the cost of full-day child care for school-age children in the summer months, subsidy rates will increase for July and August 2023.

    If you are currently receiving subsidy and will be increasing your out-of-school child care hours throughout the summer months, you will be eligible for a subsidy increase.

It is a mistake to believe that preparing children for school in kindergarten consists in conducting classes and direct learning in mini-lessons for children from older groups. The long process of pre-school education starts from the first day of the visit.

The most important time is preparation for school

The most important, decisive stage before school is the senior preschool age. During this period, the main task of teachers and parents is to interest the child, to form a stable0029 desire for knowledge and discoveries, realization of his natural talents . For older children, preparation for school in kindergarten consists of work in several areas:

It is important that the child considers society not a tough competitive environment where the strongest survive. The future school class is, first of all, opportunities:

  • show your talents;
  • learn a lot of interesting things;
  • find true friends;
  • fun to spend time.

educational program in the kindergarten club ERUDITH

Training program

“Kindergarten”. What associations does this phrase evoke in you? Good ones? Then let’s move on. Well, if they are bad, then … it’s more difficult. Although, let me invite you on a short journey through Preschool Childhood.
Are you surprised by the word “journey”? Doesn’t fit with the “kindergarten”? Do you want something serious, permanent, fundamental, solid, “within the framework” of preparing for school, so to speak? And then they offer some kind of frivolous trip? And here I am ready to argue with you. It may seem surprising, but the purpose of the kindergarten is not the banal development of knowledge, skills and abilities of its pupils and not the enhanced preparation for school. It’s too boring and uninteresting. It would be wasteful to spend the most fabulous period of life only on this.
Kindergarten is designed to organize and captivate the child on an unforgettable journey through the Magical World of Childhood.
So, our fabulous ship “ERUDIT” is ready to sail. We invite everyone who wants to go on this unforgettable journey to our ship. Come in, please, make yourself comfortable. You are right, it really feels like home here. And the ship itself is extraordinarily beautiful, graceful and durable. Well, it’s time to go!
The first job is done. Well, now let’s move on to the second one. To make the voyage successful and interesting, we will determine the course of our journey.
The program that we have chosen from many others will help us with this. It is she who will help us make an unforgettable journey through the expanses of the Oceania of Childhood.
The main program according to which the kindergarten operates “The program of education and training in kindergarten” edited by M.A. Vasilyeva. This is a modern variable program, which comprehensively presents all the main content lines of upbringing, development and education of a child from birth to 7 years.

The main goal of the program
creation of favorable conditions for a full-fledged life of a child of preschool childhood.

It is important for us adults to understand that childhood is not a preparation for adult life. Childhood is life itself.

Program objectives:

  • care for the health, emotional well-being and timely comprehensive development of each child;
  • creation of an atmosphere of humane and benevolent attitude, which will allow raising children to be sociable, kind, inquisitive, proactive, striving for independence and creativity;
  • creativity (creative organization) of the process of education and training.

The program is modern, interesting and rich in content, defines the whole range of general educational tasks in all main areas of educational work, which gives it the right to be called complex (and count such programs on the fingers). Well, what is very important – the program has passed an examination at the federal level and is recommended by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation (there are not many such programs either).
