AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

Legacy KinderCare Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks-1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.

Toddler Programs (1-2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2-3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3-4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4-5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

Our Teachers

We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.

A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH

An Artist’s Heart

“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.

We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program

Cooking Academy™ (3-12 Years)

In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!

Music Explorers™ (2-4 Years)

KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.

Phonics Adventures® (2-4 Years)

Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)

Spanish

Spanish Adventures provides young learners with a foundation for later success with
the Spanish language. Music, games, children’s Spanish literature, and other tools give
children multiple opportunities to hear, practice, and see Spanish language to develop
vocabulary and conversation skills. Curriculum includes lessons on greetings, numbers,
colors, animals, family, body parts, and pets, as well as how to engage conversationally
during common scenarios at home, a restaurant, or at the zoo.

STEM Innovators (3-8 Years)

You’ve probably heard a lot about how important STEM education is for your child, but
what does that really mean? Our STEM Innovators program takes kids’ natural ability to
make sense of the world and applies it to robotics, chemistry, coding, geology, and
more. While your child experiments, they’ll discover how to use technology to do
amazing things!

Our Teachers

We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.

Family Stories

Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!

  • I cannot imagine my son being at any other child care facility. My son has been here since he was eight weeks old, and is now seven years old. The quality of care that is given at the North Custer KinderCare is way beyond the expectations that any parent can ask for. They have mastered all facets of child care and my child is treated as one of their own.

    Mrs. J. – KinderCare Parent
  • The North Custer KinderCare is by far the best daycare around in my opinion. The moment you walk in the door, you’re always greeted by the friendly staff members. It’s very organized and immaculate, without the typical daycare pungence. The Director, Ms. Stacy, is always full of smiles and very helpful. The teachers there are very friendly, wonderful with the children, and also build relationships with children and their families. My son adored his teacher, Ms. Jen. He likes it so much that he hates to leave when I have to pick him up. That, to me, says a lot about this center! I highly recommend this location.

    Samantha S. – KinderCare Parent
  • My children are 12 and 19, and both attended North Custer KinderCare from the Infant program through the School Age program. The time they spent at KinderCare was one of the best investments our family could have ever made. While attending KinderCare, my children not only benefited academically, they learned the value of teamwork, hard work, and hard play. The opportunity for community service provided at KinderCare support the values of caring and compassion we encourage at home. The staff is consistently professional and work hard to provide a positive learning environment that gives children the foundation for a great future. The Center Director is the core of this center. It is so obvious that every decision she makes is for the benefit of the children. My children still go back from time to time and her office is always the first stop. I would highly recommend this KinderCare to anyone looking for a quality educational program!

    Lisa H. – KinderCare Parent
  • On April 12th my boys had open house. My 3 year old son got to make an amazing bird feeder with his teacher Ms. Ashley. He was so excited to put it outside when we got home. Over the next few days we watch the birds of different colors and shapes come and go. Friday morning, we wake up and find a baby owl left by his bird feeder. We were so excited we showed all of the teachers and his friends what we have found from making a simple bird feeder that turned out to be so much more that what you’d typically think. We would love to let Ms. Ashley know that we love her daily up beat attitude daily. Her awesome smile she has on everyday whether rain or shine.

Summer plan for those whose child first goes to kindergarten in the fall kindergarten.

How to prepare now so that adaptation does not turn into a nightmare for the children themselves and their parents? Our blogger, founder of networks of private kindergartens Ivan Maltsev tells.

1. Create a positive image of the garden

A few months before the day when the child goes to kindergarten, you can start telling him stories and tales about the kindergarten. The memories of parents and grandparents about their own childhood in the garden are well suited. But it is important: stories should be such that the child has a stable association that kindergarten is where it’s good, healthy and fun. If you have a negative experience associated with the garden, then it is better to abandon the memories and form impressions in a new way.

The second point is the daily routine. It is better to start observing it already in August. Learn to get up around the time you need to get up at the beginning of the school year, have breakfast at 9 o’clock, put your child to bed around 13:00. This will help the child to cope with the adaptation faster, and it will be easier for teachers with a pupil who is used to the daily routine.

It would be nice if, on the eve of kindergarten, parents would encourage more active communication of the child with peers. At the same time, the form of communication can be absolutely any: noisy children’s holidays, joint trips to nature, a visit to the cinema. Having gone through such an experience, the child will feel much more confident in kindergarten.

2. Potty train

A delicate point – many parents worry that their child is not potty trained. But now most of the children who go to the garden come in diapers (if we are talking about the nursery). Don’t worry – you won’t be required to have your child learn the potty at the same time as the adaptation. Wait until everyone gets used to the new life and routine, and then take care of the “toilet” things. Or, if the child is older, do it before September – for example, now, two months before the school year, you can try to “transplant” the child to the pot, in the summer it is easier to do.

3. Attune to the positive

Parents should be very careful and balanced about the kindergarten in front of their child, avoiding any condemnation and any criticism of the teachers, nannies or any of the children. If something does not suit you in kindergarten mode or the behavior of adults inside the system, you talk about it with adults, not with a preschooler. Of course, it is important to explain that there are personal boundaries – and no one should violate the boundaries of the child (beat, grab, force him to eat or sleep). At the same time, the child himself must learn to observe these boundaries. For this, in fact, he goes to kindergarten and goes – to learn how to build relationships with peers and adults.

4. Walk more

A common story is that a child went to the garden and immediately fell ill. This is completely normal and should not be a concern, because the child’s body, getting into a new environment for itself, encounters bacteria and viruses unfamiliar to it. That is why during adaptation in kindergarten, children get sick much more often than at home. Vitamins, drugs to strengthen the immune system will definitely not help here, but frequent walks, travels and collisions with a variety of situations (sandbox, river in the grandmother’s village, cucumbers from the garden) – yes. Sterile conditions are harmful to the immune system, try to avoid them, especially before kindergarten.

5. Don’t panic

With all that has been said above, one cannot but add that adaptation is a common concern of both parents and the kindergarten team. So, for example, one of the key ideas of our franchise is building warm, trusting, partnerships between the kindergarten and parents. I advise parents to meet with educators in advance, ask questions of interest, ask about food, sleep, and methods of maintaining discipline within the group. If something worries you in the answers of the educator, talk to the head – perhaps you’d better go to another group.
