I provide a fun, home-like environment for children to play and learn together. I am currently looking for children ages 2-4 years. We spend our days in a large playroom dedicated to childcare and have a large backyard to explore. I provide a full preschool curriculum, when we learn our letters, numbers shapes, colors and more as we learn about the world around us. I have 27 years childcare experience as both a home provider and as a preschool teacher and have a BA degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education.

TI was truly blessed to find Angela and Creative Wonders. From 6 weeks to now almost a year old they have worked with our son on development, art, social skills and more. They have truly taught my husband and I more about parenting than our doctors.

We’ve had such a good experience at Creative Wonders Childcare in IGH. We have two kids who go there (4 years old and 18 months). Both receive excellent care and education. They always have fun themes planned that involve learning, creativity and even dress-up days that my 4 year old especially loves.

St. Paul, the second most populous city in the state (after Minneapolis), is located along the deep S-bend of the Mississippi River and is built on a series of bluffs that rise from the river to the surrounding plains. Eight lakes lie wholly or partly within municipal boundaries, and there are more than 160 parks in the city. The climate here is cool temperate, with long cold winters and warm summers. In the spring, high water levels in the river sometimes led to devastating floods, as in 1965 and 1993, but control measures were taken to reduce this problem. Village Inc, 1849; city, 1854. City area, 56 square miles (145 square kilometers). Pop. (2000) 287 151; Minneapolis – St. Paul Bloomington Metro, 2 968 806; (2010) 285 068; Minneapolis – St. Paul Bloomington Metro 3 279 833.
History
Sioux and Ojibwa were the first inhabitants of the area. In 1680 Franciscan missionary Louis Hennepin passed by the site, and in 1766 explorer Jonathan Carver explored the nearby cave (since known as Carver’s Cave). In 1805 Lieutenant Zebulon Montgomery Pike, leader of the American expedition to explore the headwaters of the Mississippi River, made a treaty there (never formally ratified) with the Sioux for possession of the region, including the site of the military outpost Fort Snelling (now a state park) was later built. . The first request for land was made in 1838 by a tavern owner, Pierre (Pig’s Eye) Parrant; Abraham Perry watched him closely. The settlement was known as Pig’s Eye Landing until 1841, when the Roman Catholic missionary Lucien Galtier built a log chapel dedicated to the Apostle Paul. In 1849Saint Paul became the capital of the newly formed Minnesota Territory, and it became the state capital when Minnesota was admitted to the Union in 1858.
St. Paul’s historical importance in the development of the Upper Midwest was due to its being a commercial center that exploited its strategic location on the Mississippi. Furs were her first products for the foreign market. In 1862, the first train left the city on the 10-mile (16 km) gauge of the St. Paul and Pacific Railroad. In 1883, a great celebration marked the completion of the Northern Pacific Railroad from St. Paul to the West Coast, and 10 years later, the Great Northern Railroad was completed under James J. Hill, with St. Paul being the eastern terminus (both railroads are now part of the Burlington North Santa Fe Corporation). The development of the railroads made the city a gateway to the Pacific Northwest and spurred its growth. In 1886, St. Paul’s Union stockyards were opened and the livestock market (later moved to the suburb of South St. Paul) became one of the largest in the world. Meatpacking plants also flourished in the city, but in 19In the 1970s, the market shrank drastically and most of the big packaging companies closed down.

In the 1920s and 30s St. Paul became known as a safe haven for gangsters from other Midwestern cities; some of the places formerly associated with them have become tourist attractions. Economic difficulties and migration to the suburbs contributed to the decline of the central city in the mid-20th century, but from the mid-19In the 1970s, the city undertook large-scale urban renewal projects, renovating downtown business and residential areas.
St. Paul’s population grew steadily during the first half of the 20th century, almost doubling from 1900 to 1960 (when it reached 313,411). Subsequently, the number of people decreased, as happened in Minneapolis, although in St. Paul the fall was not as sharp as for its western neighbor. By about 1990, the city’s population was increasing again. Throughout the city’s history, the vast majority of its residents have been of European (mostly German and Irish) ancestry, but this proportion has been declining as the number of African Americans, Asians, and Hispanics has grown; the latter three groups now make up about a third of the population. nine0003
