AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

Northwest Highway KinderCare Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.

Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

Before- and After-School Programs (5–12 Years)

You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re
at work, with safe transportation from our center to your child’s school and
back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or
create a comic book, they will have a place to follow their dreams. Your child
will start and end the day with a whole lot of fun!

School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.

Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program

Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)

In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!

Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)

KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.

Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)

Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)

Our Teachers

We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.

A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH

An Artist’s Heart

“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.

We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

Family Stories

Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!

  • Being a first-time mom, I was nervous about leaving my child in the care of other people while I was at work. I searched high and low for a place to take my now four-year-old daughter to–I even tried home care, and was highly disappointed. My search led me to the Northwest Highway KinderCare. I met Ms. Vicki after several phone calls asking question after question. One afternoon, I left work early and made a surprise visit to the center with my daughter to see just how she would react to this new environment. We were both pleasantly surprised. Ms. Vicki showed us around, answered questions, and made sure to include my daughter in the process. My daughter was sold once she saw all the kids learning, playing, singing songs, and just being together. I could not have asked for a better place to take my daughter. I feel at peace being at work while she is at school. I do not worry about what is going on with her, if she is okay, or if she is being taken care of. The staff is friendly and kind. They know their kids, and that goes a long way in my book. My daughter is growing, discovering, and learning new things every day. I love to see the spark in her eyes as she tells me about her day at school. This is the place for her! Thank you, Northwest Highway KinderCare, for being there for us and for providing my daughter a place to grow while her mommy is at work.

  • All of my children have been attending Northwest Highway KinderCare for the past four years. I could not ask for a better place to send my children while I work. The teachers are very involved with the children every moment of the day. The entire staff is so kind and always make events so memorable, like buying a cake for my son’s first birthday; providing pictures of my kids participating in their daily lessons; and offering affordable tutoring for my five-year-old to help prepare her for kindergarten. Their efforts show that they truly enjoy what they do! I send the warmest of thanks to Northwest Highway KinderCare for their hard work and outstanding contributions. As a parent, I know how much time and energy goes into caring for children, so I deeply appreciate all of the time they have spent in order to dedicate their efforts to providing the best learning environment for my children.  As always, it’s great to know that I can count on them to go the extra mile. I am grateful to them for partnering with me on the parenting journey!

    Claris M. – KinderCare Parent
  • I love this daycare so much. The entire staff is wonderful. The director Mrs. Vickie is awesome. She truly cares about my kids and family. She is involved in everything that goes on in the daycare and makes sure that all the parents are up to date on how their children are doing. All of the staff is wonderful! They prepared my kids for elementary school and worked with them on any problems they were having. I don’t have to worry about my kids while I’m at work. I know that they are being watched over and learning. I highly recommend this daycare to anybody and I wouldn’t change my kids daycare for any reason. They are a blessing to us.

SOLNYSHKO KINDERGARTEN IN DALLAS – Our Texas – Russian Newspaper in Houston, Dallas, San-Antonio, Austin, Texas

Every year, the Dallas Sunshine International Learning Center kindergarten, or simply, the Sun, develops and grows. Now it is attended by more than 80 children aged from 6 months to 5 years.

Director of the training center Marina Lipovetskaya, who graduated from the ChildCare WorldWide Institute in Dallas with a diploma in teacher education, is sure that teaching is not a profession, but a vocation. It is these teachers, and there are 11 of them in the garden, who work in the “Sun”. Every year they take advanced training courses, but one of the main requirements for Marina’s employees is love for children, which cannot be taught in any institution.

Marina Lipovetskaya believes that her kindergarten is distinguished by an individual approach, the importance of educational programs and work in small groups: “We try to spend as much time with each child as possible, which gives him the opportunity to develop better,” she says. – Training takes place in the form of a game in two languages - Russian and English. 2 teachers work in each class, they divide the children into two groups, one of which deals with one subject, the second with another. Then they change places, and then they all play together.”

“We are constantly adding new things to the curriculum. Children leave our kindergarten fully prepared for school. The level of our graduates is in the middle of the preparatory class of public schools,” says Marina.

The training center has a special program for learning the Russian language, which is led by teacher Natalia Bulanova. In addition, educators must read books to children in Russian. There are also additional lessons in mathematics, music – piano and violin, drawing, computer basics, dance and “interactive theater”. “Our dance teacher Lyudmila Tsitovets is a professional with extensive experience in the USSR,” says Marina Lipovetskaya. “In her lessons, the guys are engaged in rhythm, movement to the music. She puts on very beautiful dance numbers for matinees.”

“Parents don’t have to worry about picking up their child and taking them to classes elsewhere, children have additional classes right here, with us. It is very convenient,” says Marina. Parents do not worry about children’s nutrition either: unlike many kindergartens, it has its own kitchen, the diet necessarily includes soups, main dishes, vegetables and fruits.

In the “Solnyshka” there is a small group of extended day for schoolchildren. As a rule, these are former kindergarten students.

For 16 years there has been a tradition here to celebrate holidays with children and parents. On Halloween, for example, an entertainment program is selected, which includes games, a costume contest, jumping on an inflatable trampoline and face painting, on Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day, children prepare a small concert for their parents, who, together with teachers, take care of the treat.

5 years in a row the Sunshine Day Care Center has been awarded by the Plano City Hall: Best of Plano Daycare Center/ Preschool/ Kindergarten. So, the rating of this educational institution is very high.

The school year has just begun, registration at the Sunshine International Learning Center continues until the end of September. Hurry up to bring your children to this unique kindergarten!
