I couldn’t be happier with KinderCare and the AMAZING management team and the staff that are with my children. They take the time to not only make my children feel welcomed every day, but me as well. The teachers make them feel so comfortable at drop off and have them so eager to come back in the morning. As a working mom, it is hard to be away from your children all day, but the teachers are so good at filling me in on their day. I know I could call anytime and get an update on my children and what they have been doing. I love knowing when I drop in to visit they are still warm and loving towards all the children. These things help me feel more connected to my children throughout the day. The staff is always ready and willing to help me with whatever I may need. I wouldn’t go anywhere el… More

I am a proud single mother of two, and having my children in a safe, clean and hands on daycare has always been my priority. Since my children’s enrollment about seven months ago I have seen an enormous amount of improvement in their learning and socializing skills. The things I love the most about KinderCare are the positive and friendly staff, the cleanliness of the facility, and their curriculum that allows my children to grasp and attain knowledge in every area of study. I wouldn’t want my children at any other facility. Thank you KinderCare for all that you do!

As a first time mother I was VERY nervous to bring my 8 month old to anyone else but me, of course. The staff at KinderCare really takes the time to listen to me and my daughter and what both of our needs are. Any time I have had concerns, they are quickly put to ease. I can’t imagine what it takes to keep all of these kids and all of these families happy, yet somehow, they do it and they truly care about each and every child and family in their care. My daughter started in the infants room and is now in the 1 year old class and the activities they do inspire so much growth and provide such amazing education. My daughter has learned so much more than I could have ever asked for or taught her. Thank you to all of her Teachers and the staff at KinderCare for making this such a wonderful exp… More

Archaeologists have found the oldest site of Paleo-Indians in the Great Lakes region
American archaeologists have discovered the oldest site of hunter-gatherers in the Great Lakes region, who inhabited this territory about 13,000 years ago. They managed to find spearheads and evidence of tool-making that belong to the Clovis archaeological culture. Previously, it was believed that this territory was inaccessible to people during this period due to the glacier located here. The find is reported in a press release from the University of Michigan.
In North and Central America, about 13.5-10.8 thousand years ago, there was an archaeological culture called Clovis. It got its name due to the discovery of a small number of tools near the city of the same name in New Mexico in 1936-1937. Representatives of this culture, which are the genetic ancestors of all Indian tribes, were nomadic hunter-gatherers who specialized in hunting big game – mammoths, mastodons and gomphotheres. The earliest evidence of the existence of a group of such hunters, dated around 11550 BC, was found in southwestern North America at the Sonora archaeological site.
The Clovis culture is characterized by its typical spearheads or javelins, which are chipped stone lanceolate tools with a longitudinal groove on each side and a concave base. Often finds of such items are found side by side with scrapers, choppers, and engraving points. These artifacts form the so-called Llano complex, found not only in parking lots, but also in hunting camps – that is, places where primitive people killed and butchered animals.
Independent researcher Thomas Talbot, together with scientists from the University of Michigan, discovered the oldest archaeological site of the Clovis culture, 13,000 years old, in the Great Lakes region, thereby rewriting the history of the settlement of the region. During this period, the Michigan area was covered by a glacier, which was believed to stop the earliest human populations from staying here.
According to scientists, the parking lot was occupied by a small group of people for six to seven years. It is located near a river in southwestern Michigan, making it the most northwestern site of the Clovis culture. Researchers believe that as the glaciers retreated, an environment was created into which fauna penetrated, attracting ancient hunters. They noted that the Paleo-Indians moved in large groups, not staying anywhere for long. Ancient people were engaged in both hunting and collecting carrion, driving away other predators of the Ice Age from prey. Apparently, the discovered site was a short-term seasonal camp of a small group that separated from the main tribe.
The discovered site was named Belson and is a 25 x 15 meter area. At a depth of about 1.5 meters, archaeologists found an untouched horizon containing a large number of tools, as well as fragments of stones, indicating that the inhabitants of the camp made tools on the spot. In total, scientists managed to find more than 20 stone tools, as well as hundreds of fragments that appeared during their manufacture. The found tips are similar to the previously known ancient finds, referred to as Heiney. They are characterized by a groove running along the center of the spearhead. However, the new finds also show features characteristic of the technology of the Clovis culture, where tools were made using the peeling method.
