AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

South Chandler KinderCare Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks-1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.

Toddler Programs (1-2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2-3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3-4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4-5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

Before- and After-School Programs (5-12 Years)

You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re
at work, with safe transportation from our center to your child’s school and
back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or
create a comic book, they will have a place to follow their dreams. Your child
will start and end the day with a whole lot of fun!

School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare partners with Child Care Aware® of America to offer fee assistance for
Active Duty military families and flexible support to fit their needs when care at a Child
Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program

Music Explorers™ (2-4 Years)

KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.

Phonics Adventures® (2-4 Years)

Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)

Our Teachers

We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.

Meet just a few of our amazing KinderCare teachers!

A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH

An Artist’s Heart

“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.

We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

Family Stories

Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!

  • South Chandler KinderCare, we want to thank you for the care you gave to both our girls. You treated our girls as if they were your own and we will forever be grateful. The girls have such great memories to take with them. Thank you for everything!

    H. Family – KinderCare Parent
  • My kids love South Chandler KinderCare. Both of my girls have attended since they were eight weeks old. They have learned so much and made long-lasting friends. My youngest daughter just started kindergarten and she is ahead of most of her class. Also, five of her friends have started in the accelerated class. I am so proud of all the things she has learned at KinderCare. The teachers have really made learning fun for both of my girls. Every time I pick them up, they don’t want to leave–they are too busy doing a project or playing with their friends. My oldest daughter is nine years old and she is still really close to friends that she made in the Toddler Classroom. The close relationships they have made are amazing. I really can’t express how grateful we are of KinderCare.

    Mr. & Mrs. P. – KinderCare Parent
  • We love South Chandler KinderCare: Having a safe place to take my kids while we go to work is very comforting. KinderCare has been in our lives for over seven years and they have provided more for our two children than simply daycare. Both kids have experienced the same curriculum, and in some cases, the same teacher. Each classroom is balanced between free play, music, art, and other structured activities and both my children are happy every day when I pick them up. The center’s administrative staff is always responsive to my questions and feedback, and they have never hesitated to try to accommodate a special request. In a few years, both of my children will be too old to attend KinderCare, but I will continue to refer the center to all my friends and family.

    Tonya D.

    – KinderCare Parent

  • Being at South Chandler KinderCare has been a very positive experience for both of my sons and the whole family. This is our fifth year our children have attended and we love it! Our oldest son had a little bit of a tough time transitioning from toddler to independent school-ager, and Ms. Megan was wonderful in assisting us with coming up with a plan for success. We wanted him to make good choices on his own by the time he began kindergarten, and were concerned with some of the behaviors he was exhibiting. Megan and his two teachers sat down with us to come up with a plan of action for how certain behaviors were going to be addressed and what consequences they would hold. Although it was a rough start, the transformation at the end has been wonderful! Through the persistent reinforcement of positive behavior, my oldest son has become a respectful and responsible little man! We love Megan and the team and feel very fortunate to have such a wonderful facility to call ours!

Our advantages

Full day school

All students stay at the gymnasium from 9.30 am to 18.00 pm. The educational process is designed so that children do not get tired, the load is distributed evenly: there are “windows” between lessons that allow you to take a break from the monotony of lessons, play games, and do homework. Serious subjects are interspersed with light and entertaining ones. We consider this approach to building the educational process harmonious and best for the child. The undoubted advantage of a full-time school is the strengthening of the child’s social skills. In addition, parents can not worry about their child, knowing that until 18.00 the child is busy with work and is safe.

Various forms of education

In addition to full-time education, the Gymnasium offers part-time and part-time education.

Now more than a hundred people are studying in the department of part-time and distance learning. All of them made a choice in favor of studying according to an individual curriculum, which takes into account the characteristics of the personality of each student, his interests and abilities.

Subject education

Another feature of the gymnasium, which is not trivial for a modern school, is subject education from the first grade (class-lesson system). We have a highly qualified specialist responsible for each subject. In an ordinary school, as a rule, the first four classes are taught by the same teacher, and subject teachers appear only in the fifth grade. We believe that an indisputable advantage of subject education from the first grade is the ability of children to organize an independent learning space. In addition, when a teacher works concentratedly within one subject, this allows him to teach the subject most deeply and seriously. Ultimately, this greatly improves the quality of education.

In-depth study of languages

The gymnasium is famous for its in-depth teaching of foreign languages - English, German and French. We start teaching English in 1st grade, German or French in 3rd grade.

Wise men said that intelligence is the first condition for happiness. But such a function of the brain as thinking is not given to anyone from birth. It develops as knowledge in the process of training and education. The development of the mind is the main task of every teacher in our school. For teachers, each student is a child with their own problems, interests, and abilities. A child, and not just a student, is interested in everything: both the process of cognition and the result of his work.

– L.A. Mizonova, Russian language teacher

Three foreign languages are studied in our school: English, German and French. Despite the philological orientation, the gymnasium pays great attention to the study of the exact sciences – mathematics, physics, chemistry. After all, it is they who form a complete understanding of the world around the child and should serve as the basis for his success when he graduates from school and grows up.

The school promotes a creative approach to the learning process: relying on European experience and its own methods, not abandoning the traditions of Russian education, applying the best that once allowed the Soviet school to become one of the first in the world. Since its foundation, the gymnasium has been one of the ten most prestigious private schools in St. Petersburg.

We give children a modern education of a unique style, based on a variety of principles, forms, programs, methods and opportunities for learning, which, in the end, ensures the easiest possible admission of our graduates to the most prestigious universities in Russia and foreign countries and helps schoolchildren become successful modern people.

  • It’s amazing how chances change a person’s fate. It would seem that in our life planned by the minute, where everything is predictable and long known, there is no room for a miracle. However, this is not so. Exactly a year ago, I could not even imagine how abruptly my world will turn upside down.

When I first heard about the competition “I’m changing the world around me”, the name of the gymnasium “Alma Mater” didn’t tell me much. I began to look for information: I looked at photos on the Internet, read about the education system and school policy. I remember very clearly thinking, “That doesn’t happen! I always wanted to learn several foreign languages - three are taught in this gymnasium. I wanted to be able to choose which subjects to study in depth – here they offer just such a program. Either someone is eavesdropping on my thoughts about what school should be like, or it’s destiny.”

Tatyana Pechagina Graduate of the Alma Mater gymnasium

  • “I want to thank my school for being there. I want to thank my school for having me in it. I want to thank my school for the fact that there are many kind understanding people here, for being gave me a second home and friends, knowledge and self-confidence.I want to thank my school for preserving and raising a person in me.I want to thank my school for always being comfortable and pleasant to study in it, for that whenever I come, there are always people here.I want to thank my school for being able to proudly show it to my children and say: “I studied here.”I want to thank my school for being even in the most cloudy and gloomy days have always appeared before me in all their splendor. I want to thank my school for the fact that this list is endless.

Artem Chernichkov graduate of the Alma Mater gymnasium

  • Alma Mater Gymnasium – a house that I bought two years ago. Teachers and classmates: they are all my family.

Recently, I wondered if I did the right thing by leaving my old school. At first it was very difficult. I was an “adopted child” in the Alma Mater family. I was tested, tested by both the guys in the class and the teachers. But the tests were worth the result. Now I feel like a part of our school, part of something special, something bigger. I feel confident in my knowledge. The score that I have in my diary is now not just a number, as it used to be, now it is a real result of my knowledge. The teachers at the gymnasium are always ready to help me understand their subject, you just have to ask them about it.

Now I am in the eleventh grade. On the one hand, I really want to go into a new adult life, but on the other hand, I really don’t want to leave this cozy “small world”, which is located in the center of my beloved city! Today I can say for sure that the result of the transition to Alma Mater not only met my expectations, but exceeded them. I am glad that in my life I had such a unique chance – to study at the Alma Mater.”0005

  • Alma Mater Gymnasium is my school, where I went through not the easiest, not the most difficult path from the first roses and the first bell almost to the end of the 8th grade. Not yet complete, not even secondary education, but already these are 8 past years, about which one can simply say: “after 8 years”. But they are all made up of hours, days, years, exams and painful seconds of reflection and decisions. One famous British critic, having bought an apartment in a residential elite complex in suburb of London, to the question of The Times newspaper: “What did he get?”, He answered: “Decent housing and decent neighbors.” I can say about the same about my school: sending me here, my parents knew what they were getting for their child not only a decent education, but everyday comforts, and a decent environment.0005

In today’s atmosphere of fierce competition in everything, especially in education and getting a job, it seems to me that, having a high level of knowledge and the habit of competition that is instilled in me at Alma Mater, I will feel a little more confident than many other young people People.

The realization of how much my parents pay for my education at the gymnasium invariably awakens my conscience and makes me study hard, working both in the classroom and at home. I can say that Alma Mater gave me not only the opportunity, but also the desire to gain knowledge.

Smirnova Anna graduate of the gymnasium “Alma Mater”

  • I first heard about Alma Mater when I decided to take part in the competition “I change the world around me”. Even then I wondered what kind of school it was that organizes such interesting competitions, seeks and attracts talents .

And here I am. Now this school will become my alma mater.

I was received very cordially. Both teachers and students were very friendly. Each teacher is attentive, will always help to sort out an incomprehensible question. I was glad that there were not many students in the class. And even such small classes are divided into groups! This means that the teacher pays a lot of attention to each student, which means that everyone’s knowledge is deeper. And psychologists working at school help students decide on their future profession.

But the most important thing is a creative approach to learning. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased by the appearance of such subjects as cinema, the MHC, sports dances, logic, and various electives. I loved these items.

I myself am a creative, enthusiastic person, and I am proud that the school and I have found mutual interest. I am pleased that here I will find an opportunity to realize my creative potential. Perhaps I will be able to implement some creative project. And maybe not just one… And I know for sure that support is waiting for me here in any of my undertakings! Thank you for this to my new school, now my “Alma Mater”!

Skakunova Liza Graduate of the gymnasium “Alma Mater”

  • Dear Tatyana Ivanovna and Elena Yurievna!

I know that you are not indifferent to the fate of your pets, and therefore I want to share with you our joy with Katya. I still continue to study at college, but I have already been accepted to the University of Wisconsin – Madison (the university of my dreams), and, in fact, for the third year because the college I go to is considered very strong and many of the subjects are transferred to the best universities in America, saving my family a lot of money.
