Where are the best companies? We are in the Rating of employers hh.ru! Results-2022
13 years ago, the hh.ru team first thought about creating an honest, transparent and accessible rating for everyone, which would include the best Russian employers. But the question immediately arose: “the best” for whom? Thus, the idea was born to collect opinions from different sides of the labor market in order to obtain objective results. And they began to choose the very best, based on votes of employees and applicants, as well as on quality of work with people in companies . This methodology of the Rating has not changed for many years. For surveys of employees, applicants and filling out HR questionnaires, each employer receives three grades – they add up the total score, which determines the final place.
By the way, the opinions of employees and candidates have more weight in calculating the results than the survey of HR specialists.
In 2010 97 companies reached the final of the first Rating , and in 2022 – already 1082 employers! There are more and more organizations that want to become the best in the labor market, not in words, but in deeds. And this is a good sign.
What is important – in the Rating you can find companies from different regions of Russia – from Kaliningrad to Khabarovsk, however, there are still many more Moscow and St. Petersburg employers. The reason is simple – The rating reflects the situation on the labor market : where there are more vacancies, there are more active companies. But the region and industry do not play any role when summing up the Rating, but organization size important . You can’t compare a company with 150 people to a multi-thousand corporation — they will have different budgets, processes, approaches, and everything else. Therefore, we divided all companies into four categories depending on the number of employees:
• largest – 103 finalists in 2022;
• large – 268 finalists;
• middle – 344 finalists;
• small – 367 finalists.
Before revealing the names of the best employers, let’s add: when looking for a job on hh.ru, you can always easily recognize them – all the finalists of the Rating have a special badge. So, if you see a company with such a mark, feel free to apply for a vacancy – here you can definitely find an island of stability in a raging sea of uncertainty.
Due to the fact that the current situation on the market is not very predictable, you can rely on the Rating as confirmation of the company’s reliability. A one-day firm that is not sure of its position will not pass a single qualifying stage. The rating is a marker that the company is on the market for a long time, plus everything here, most likely, they know how to take care of people. This is important today.
Nina Osovitskaya, Rating ideologist, director of the hh.ru Brand Center
In addition, the Rating can be used as one of the sources of information about employers. This is a great opportunity for a pleasant first acquaintance. For example, if you are not familiar with a company, but it is in the Rating, why not take a look at its page with vacancies on hh.ru? We suggest you start now.

• Overall Ranking-2022
⇒ Largest companies with more than 5000 employees
The leaders in this category are on everyone’s lips – these are Sberbank, Yandex, Alfa-Bank, VK and Tinkoff . It is worth noting that last year the top five looked different. In 2022, two strong players appeared in the list of the largest companies at once – these are Yandex and VK , which had not previously participated in the Rating, and they immediately reached the top. Other employers had to make room. This, by the way, is one of the main advantages of the Rating – companies compete with each other to take the first lines, which means they develop a corporate culture, support employees, improve work processes and do everything possible to make their brand visible in the labor market. So the leader of the Rating changes from year to year.
Another remark – 4 companies from the top ten in this category represent the banking industry . And this is a clear sign that the industry is at the peak of development and popularity. A few years ago, there was confusion in the banking sector: there were mergers and acquisitions, banks were closed, people were left without work en masse, but now the situation has normalized, and this can be seen from the results of the Rating.
⇒ Large companies with 1,001 to 5,000 employees
The first three places among large employers are held by IT companies – 2GIS, Kaspersky Lab and Avito . This is followed by representatives of the publishing business and media – and Eksmo, Rambler & Co and RBC . However, if you count, in this category there are still more finalists from the industries of IT, production and trade in consumer goods, energy, mining and processing of raw materials, as well as finance. So if you are thinking in which active areas to look for work – pay attention to the leading industries .
It is interesting that immediately 5 companies out of the top 10 in this category took part in the Rating for the first time – Avito, Eksmo, RBC, SDEK and National Media Group . It seems that this is an application for success and a signal to get to know their vacancies better.
Unlike the top ten largest companies, there are employers from different regions : Novosibirsk, Sverdlovsk, Voronezh, Chelyabinsk regions, the Republic of Tatarstan, Perm and Krasnodar regions. Although for some specialists, given the growing popularity of the remote work format, the geography of the company is not so important. Much more important for everyone without exception developed internal communication so that each employee, regardless of location and position, understands what is happening in the company, his team and where everything is going. In the current turbulent time, there is nowhere without it. You can ask about the internal communications system already at the first interview, if it exists – 100 company points.
⇒ Medium-sized companies with 251 to 1000 employees
Two employers from the media industry at once took the top positions. Online cinema Ivy was in 3rd place last year, and in 2022 it became the favorite in the category of medium-sized companies. Okko is in 2nd place, and SberMarketing is in 3rd place, which also jumped from 7th place in a year. The rise of Skolkovo from 18th to 5th place can also be called a takeoff. At the same time, a company from the Krasnodar Territory Abrau-Durso was noted in the Rating for the first time and immediately took 7th place.
The list of the best employers includes international brands . For example, Bacardi Rus is in 8th place and Barilla is in 10th place.
“Many international companies that nevertheless remained in Russia and retained their brands have severe restrictions on their presence in the public field. Participation in the Rating is a sign that they are still interested in people, in development. Applicants should pay attention to this” .
Nina Osovitskaya, Rating ideologist, director of the hh.ru Brand Center
According to hh.ru survey results, many mid-sized companies know a lot about caring for employees. When choosing the best employer, give preference to those organizations where, in addition to salary, there are non-material bonuses. Of course, there are different situations in life, employment is always a compromise between expectations and reality, but if the employer:
✅ is ready to provide psychological support to employees;
✅ in every possible way encourages their desire for a healthy lifestyle;
✅ can discuss a convenient work schedule/format for you;
✅ stimulates the creation of interest clubs;
✅ is socially active
– pick one – these are real beacons in the raging sea of the labor market.
⇒ Small companies with between 101 and 250 employees
The top three in this category are “dark horses” – companies that debuted in the Rating. This is the publishing house MIF (Mann, Ivanov and Ferber), Poster and VERTEX . In general, among small businesses, there are the most companies that have applied for participation for the first time.
Separately, we note state-owned companies , where today they pay special attention to building transparent work processes, improving working conditions, and creating opportunities for growth and development. The fact is that employers from the public sector have to compete for talented and promising candidates with market leaders from other industries. There is only one option – to be modern, otherwise there is a great chance to lose and be left without people. State institutions have appeared in the Rating over the past years, but now they are rising higher and higher in the top 10. For example, 8th place went to “Center for Information Technologies of the Novosibirsk Region” , and in 10th place was Center for Social Services for the Population .
• Sub-ratings: HR processes, loyal employees, selection of applicants
In addition to the overall Rating, there are so-called sub-ratings. Places in them are distributed depending on the assessments of employees, applicants and questionnaires of HR specialists. What matters here is not the number of companies, but rather the attitude towards them from different target audiences.
⇒ Most popular with job seekers
Before talking about the leaders of this sub-rating, we suggest checking your intuition: remember three companies that you are ready to consider as a potential employer. And then analyze what you like about them. Someone is surely attracted to a brand, product or service. Some people like the employees who represent the company. You may have come across these employers in an interview or even worked for a particular company. There may be many options, but the fact remains that our preferences are very subjective. So this sub-rating includes companies that got the most votes from almost 38 thousand applicants .
What is important — only authorized users of hh.ru could vote for the companies they liked , and it was forbidden to vote for their current employer — an automated system helped us block bots and violators.
In the top three — Yandex, Sberbank, Gazprom Neft . The top 5 is closed by Tinkoff and Alfa-Bank . These are the largest representatives of Russian business, who invest a lot of resources to win the hearts of applicants. At the same time 9The th and 10th lines of the subrating were occupied by the average number of employees of the company Okko and Ivy , which confirms that the matter is not in scale.
⇒ The most loyal employees
This sub-rating is useful because the best employers in it are determined by employees – people who know exactly what happens behind closed doors of offices and walls of production sites.
Depending on the size of the company, we determine the percentage of employees who anonymously and honestly must answer a simple question: whether they are ready to recommend their company to others as a potential employer . Each employee receives an individual link to take the online survey, and the answers immediately go to the hh.ru Research Service.
This year, almost the entire “pedestal” was occupied by representatives of small and medium-sized businesses from the IT sector – Usetech, idaproject, MPSTATS, and TravelLine, DDoS-Guard and ENAZA . The exception was Angstrem in 4th place and Kamsky cable on the 8th line – both companies from the industrial production sector.
Feedback from employees is always very important when choosing a new job. Before responding to a vacancy or going for an interview, the first thing we recommend is look at reviews about . For example, DreamJob is perfect for this!
⇒ Most Advanced HR Processes
Job seekers usually don’t care much about what’s going on in the HR department or a large division. And in vain. Business results depend on whether the company has strategies for hiring, training and developing staff, how HR processes are built – how automated, clear and transparent everything is. If HR specialists do not count staff turnover (how many people leave the company), do not deal with the adaptation of new employees and have no idea who and where works in their organization, this is a reason to be wary. There are no such companies in our sub-rating!
The automated system analyzed the questionnaires filled out by HR specialists, as a result, it turned out to identify employers who know a lot about working with people . At the end of 2022, NLMK Group, Sberbank, Gazprombank, VK and NefteTransService became leaders.
It also happens like this: a company has not yet “arrived” in the Rating or its number is less than 100 employees – and for objective reasons it cannot get into it. How, then, to understand that behind the name “Good Organization” is a worthwhile employer? Nina Osovitskaya gives three pieces of advice .
💡 Gather as much information as possible about your potential employer to make an informed decision.
“Look what the company writes about itself on the official website, whether there is an appeal to potential employees, what it offers, what benefits it broadcasts. Assess how all this matches the picture of the company in other sources. For example, in social networks, on job sites like hh.ru. The integrity of the image is a very important indicator.”
💡 Find testimonials from real employees. And here, of course, it is better to trust trusted sources where there are verified reviews. There are real people behind them, and you can read not only about the minuses, but also about the pros of a particular employer.
“Do not rule out looking for direct contacts. For example, among your acquaintances and “familiar acquaintances” you can find people who work in the company and do not mind sharing their opinions.
💡 Carefully read the descriptions of all (or almost all) vacancies posted by the company. They may be different, but it is important that they clearly spell out the opportunities and benefits, and not just the requirements for candidates.
We are sure that you will be able to find your ideal employer on hh.ru, regardless of whether he got into the Rating or not. And we will be glad if you share your opinion when the voting for the best companies in the Rating-2023 starts. It starts traditionally in autumn. In the meantime, we would like to say thank you to everyone who helped us create this “white list” of employers – thanks to your support, it is now easier for millions of job seekers to choose the right company!
