Hear From Chicago Happy Parents

Megan Gaffney

It’s such a relief to be able to leave your child for the day knowing she will have fun and be so well cared for.

C V

I appreciate how loving the teachers are to our son and others children, responsive the center is to any concerns and the level of transparency they provide in communicating important updates to parents.

Brad Slagle

She has also been struggling with taking consistent naps during the day, but the staff has worked with our desires and requests to help her sleep better.

Heather Haddon

The center is organized, clean, cheery and professional. We love the caregivers, and our son has thrived there.

Diana VanDegrift

The level of interaction, weekly themes, art projects, and special events have all exceeded our expectations

Katie Desir

He lights up with excitement to see his teacher and classmates when we enter the room each morning.

Kim Kelly

My husband and I made it a priority to keep our son at Ladybug part time. We feel he gets so much great social interaction and developmental learning that we didn’t want to keep him home full time.

Heather Smith

He smiles whenever we tell him he is going to see his teachers and they make school something he looks forward to.

Why Your Child Will Thrive at LadyBug and Friends

LadyBug and Friends is a full-day Chicago daycare and preschool serving families with children from 6 weeks to 6 years old primarily serving the Irving Park, Avondale, Logan Square, and Mayfair neighborhoods. We value our role in helping young children in these communities to learn, grow, and thrive. Discover why LadyBug and Friends is able to provide the ideal environment for your child’s development.

Experienced teachers

Our high quality team of Chicago daycare teachers is trained to deal with the unique needs of children at all stages of early development. Each staff member has a passion for working with children and expertise in the field of early childhood education that exceeds DCFS standards. Furthermore, we provide continuous internal professional development opportunities to ensure our staff is constantly acquiring new skills and methods of encouraging growth and learning.

Individualized Attention

We recognize that each child has their own unique set of needs and their own pace at which they adjust to new activities and environments. We provide plenty of individualized attention for each child at our Chicago daycare center, offering enriching opportunities for all children no matter where they are on their developmental path.

Thoughtful Programming

Every aspect of our Chicago daycare program is carefully considered to nurture a specific, age-appropriate developmental skill or set of skills, a holistic approach that will lay a foundation for a lifelong love of growing and learning. From early exposure to music and languages to activities that promote socialization, creativity, and physical development, we are constantly refining our programs to provide the most well-rounded experience possible.

Safe and Supportive Environment

A child must feel secure in order to thrive, which is why we create an environment that protects both the physical and emotional well-being of each child. Under the watchful guidance of our highly trained, deeply committed and caring staff, your child will have the security and support they need to explore their world, try new things, and develop the social skills that will continue to serve them throughout their lives.

Commitment to Nutrition

Proper nutrition is an important part of childhood development. All children, ages 15 months and up, participate in our food plan. Our caterer Healthy Organic Kids provides healthy, nutritionally complete meals and snacks that will keep your child well-nourished throughout the day, while also establishing a foundation of healthy eating that will continue to serve them well as they grow.

We Take Safety Seriously!

At LadyBug and Friends your child’s safety is our top priority, and we understand that with COVID-19 you likely have questions about what procedures and protocols we have put in place to keep your child protected. We wanted to address the measures we are taking to provide a safe environment for your children, your family members, and our staff.

About LadyBug and Friends Chicago

At Ladybug and Friends we make it our mission to provide a holistic approach to early education, giving each child a safe environment to explore, learn, and grow in a manner that recognizes their unique qualities as they build a foundation for their future.

Our curriculum is designed to meet the specific developmental needs at each stage of early childhood, fostering qualities such as positive self-identity, emotional well-being, social skills, language, reasoning, creativity, physical development and respect for diversity and community.

We strive to ensure that these developmental goals are met through joyful and engaging activities that encourage development while nonetheless providing a sense of play and personal autonomy. We also believe that children flourish most when there is a foundation of good nutrition, plenty of rest, and respect for teachers and peers.

Tamara Moskvina: “A coach should teach skaters to sacrifice personal motives in order to please other people. This is their mission.” – Figure Skating

Merited Coach of the USSR Tamara Moskvina, in an interview with Alina Zagitova, spoke about working with hotbed figure skaters.

– How are you feeling now?

– I must tell you a big secret that I am always in a good mood. It depends on you. How do you set yourself up, know how to counteract disturbing factors or the actions of the environment.

Serious troubles, problems – nowhere without them. How do you feel about them? You worry, cry, get nervous and so on. Or do you think: what can I do in return for this trouble, or how to counteract? This is the whole secret.

Mutual understanding is important in a couple. You need to do everything in such a way that you think: how can this affect your partner? How can this encourage collaboration? It is a never-ending process of adjustment – statements, attitudes, actions.

Because they are two individuals with different levels of upbringing, education, motivation, and so on. Everyone has their own interests. Then, they have their own characters, their own types of nervous system. And this is all the coach needs to trim a little.

A couple is skating and competing with another couple, and there are two personalities in this couple. And the guys want to live their lives, go in for sports, have a family, study. I want all this to be in a positive mood and an optimistic approach.

And when it is connected with negative moods, relationships, it does not add joy to life. Therefore, it is not necessary to invent difficulties for yourself, so as not to spoil your mood and life.

– And how after the Olympic season – they (Mishina and Gallyamov) do not enter hard?

– With the previous generations of athletes I coached, the celebration lasted much longer.

Usually athletes who successfully perform at the Olympic Games start skating somewhere in September-October and only by the end of the season get into shape. Nastya and Sasha entered somehow faster.

I think you felt it.

– I fully felt it. Just at the World Cup and came out in good condition.

– One says: “No, I can’t do that,” the second one says “No, I don’t want to.” And here they are, who will convince whom.

But I need to stop quarrels, say: “Guys, you came up with such a great idea, yes, yes, yes, perhaps I have a third option.” And I offer a better option. Let’s live in peace. I usually say: do we have something here, a kindergarten or what?

Everyone says, oh, you must be seeing those stars… We don’t see any stars. A child comes – we see what he is like initially and what needs to be done with him in order to teach him to ride, teach him to communicate, work, endure, admire, love, live. Learn to admire other people.

Learn to sacrifice some of your personal motives in order to give pleasure to other people. This is their purpose, – said Moskvina.

BB.lv: 2022 FIFA World Cup: who enters the fields

Qatar has started the FIFA World Cup, which is attended by 32 of the world’s strongest teams, divided into eight groups.
The first matches are already over, and we continue a kind of “educational program” – a multiple acquaintance with the participants of the World Cup. We continue the basic introductory information about the national teams by groups with quartets C and D.

Argentina

How did you get out. From the second place in the South American qualification.

Coach. Lionel Scaloni is the coach with whom Argentina finally broke the trophy drought that lasted from 1993 years old With him, the Argentines won the 2021 Copa America, beating Brazil (1:0) in the final. And in early June of this year, Scaloni also took Finalissima, beating Italy (3:0).

Three main stars. Lionel Messi, Angel di Maria, Lautaro Martinez.

How they play lately. Argentina have played four matches since June. In the Finalissime, they defeated Italy (3:0), and in friendly matches they defeated Estonia (5:0), Honduras and Jamaica (3:0 each).

Calendar. November 22: Argentina – Saudi Arabia; November 26: Argentina – Mexico; November 30: Poland – Argentina.

Saudi Arabia

How did you get out. In the second round of qualification in the Asian Confederation, they took first place in the group with Uzbekistan, Palestine, Singapore and Yemen. In the third round, they became the first in the group with Japan, Australia, Oman, China and Vietnam.

Three main stars. All Saudi Arabian players represent the local championship. Salem al-Dosari, who played one match for the Spanish “Villarreal”, Al-Muwallad (two games for another Spanish club Levante) and the legend of “Al-Hilal” Al-Shahrani stand out.

How they play lately. Since June, Saudi Arabia has played six friendly matches: beaten North Macedonia (1:0), drew with Ecuador (0:0), USA (0:0) and Albania (1:1), and also lost to Colombia (0:0). 1) and Venezuela (0:1).

Calendar. November 22: Argentina – Saudi Arabia; November 26: Poland – Saudi Arabia; November 30: Mexico – Saudi Arabia.

Mexico

How did you get out. From the second place in the North American qualification.

Three main stars. Irving Lozano, Guillermo Ochoa, Raul Jimenez. Lozano has been playing regularly for Italian Napoli this season (19 games, 3+3). Ochoa is the main in “America” – in 20 matches of the season he conceded 21 goals. But Jimenez, after a skull fracture in 2020, never got into shape – only 297 minutes for the English Wolverhampton this season.

How they play lately. Since June, the Mexicans have played six matches. In the Nations League, CONCACAF beat Suriname (3:0) and drew with Jamaica (1:1). In friendly matches, they defeated Iraq (4:0) and Peru (1:0), lost to Paraguay (0:1) and Colombia (2:3).

Calendar. November 22: Mexico – Poland; November 26: Argentina – Mexico; November 30: Saudi Arabia – Mexico.

Poland

How did you get out. In the group with England, Albania, Hungary, Andorra and San Marino, they took second place, automatically (due to the exclusion of Russia) went to the final of the joints, where they beat Sweden (2:0).

Coach. Cheslav Mikhnevich is a little-known coach who led the national team last year after the flight of Paulo Souza. Prior to the national team, he worked for Legia Warsaw.

Three main stars. Robert Lewandowski, Piotr Zieliński, Wojciech Schensny. The Poles have a good squad even by European standards. In addition to Lewandowski (Barcelona), Zielinski (Napoli) and Schensny (Juvenuts), there is Milik from the same Juventus and Zalewski from Roma. The experienced Krychowiak and Glik are still in the ranks.

How they play lately. Poland beat Wales twice in the Nations League (2:1 and 1:0) and drew with the Netherlands away (1:1). The Poles lost to the Dutch at home (0:2), as well as to Belgium (1:6, 0:1).

Calendar. November 22: Mexico – Poland; November 26: Poland – Saudi Arabia; November 30: Poland – Argentina.
Further preview of group D. And this is the reigning champion France, plus Australia, Denmark and Tunisia.

France

How did you get out. From the first place in the group with Ukraine, Finland, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kazakhstan.

Coach. After the 2022 World Cup, Didier Deschamps is likely to leave the national team after ten years (he should be replaced by Zinedine Zidane). At Euro 2016, Deschamps reached the final with France, and took the title at the 2018 World Cup. And the French won the League of Nations in the 2020/21 season.

Three main stars. Karim Benzema, Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann.

How they play lately. Since June, France have played six matches in the League of Nations. Both times they lost to Denmark (1:2, 0:2) and once to Croatia (0:1). In the away matches with the Croats and the Austrians, they tied (1:1 each), and also beat Austria (2:0).

Calendar. November 22: France – Australia; November 26: France – Denmark; November 30: Tunisia – France.

Australia

How did you get out. In the second round of qualification in the Asian Football Confederation, they took first place in the group with Kuwait, Jordan, Nepal and Chinese Taipei. In the third round, they were third in the group with Saudi Arabia, Japan, Oman, China and Vietnam, entering the play-offs, where they beat Peru (0:0, 5:4 on penalties).

Three main stars. Aaron Mui, Matthew Ryan, Aidin Khrustic (the first represents the Scottish Celtic, the others, respectively, the Danish Copenhagen and the Italian Verona). The current composition of the Australians definitely cannot be called prime – there are almost no familiar names here.

Keep an interesting fact: 17 out of 26 Australian players are from other countries (two English, two Serbs, five Scots, three South Sudanese, one Turkish, one Bosnian and one Dutch).

How they play lately. After defeating Peru in the play-offs, they beat New Zealand twice in friendly games (1:0, 2:0).

Calendar. November 22: France – Australia; November 26: Tunisia – Australia; November 30: Australia – Denmark.

Denmark

How did you get out. From the first place in the group with Scotland, Israel, Austria, Faroe Islands and Moldova.

Three main stars. Christian Eriksen (Manchester United), Pierre-Emil Heybjerg (Tottenham Hotspur), Simon Kier (Milan). Since last year’s Euro, the backbone of the Danes has not changed. There are strong performers in every line: in goal Kasper Schmeichel, in defense Kjær, Andreas Christensen, Joachim Maleh and Daniel Wass, in midfield Eriksen, Heibjerg and Delaney, in attack Dolberg and the still young Damsgaard.

How they play lately. In the League of Nations, they beat France (2:1, 2:0) and Austria (2:1, 2:0) twice each, but lost twice to Croatia (0:1, 1:2).

Calendar. November 22: Denmark – Tunisia; November 26: France – Denmark; November 30: Australia – Denmark.

Tunisia

How did you get out. In the first round of the African qualification, they took first place in the group with Equatorial Guinea, Zambia and Mauritania, and beat Mali in the play-offs (1:0, 0:0).

Three main stars. Wahbi Khazri, Elye Skhiri, Youssef Msakni. Khazri from the French “Montpellier” does not fall below his level at all, even in Europe. But a worthy change of generation is not yet in sight.
