10 BEST NURSERY IN LOS ANGELES – HOME PROJECTS

The weather in Los Angeles is changing from hot to cool and rainy, and now is a great time to start a garden or update one that you have neglected, so I have collected some of my favorite kindergartens in Los Angeles. Some have a huge selection, some have recommendations, some are completely inspiring, but all of them will help you get your garden in order.

Save fifteen

• 1. In a pot at Atwater is a great little nursery with mid-century pots, wool pockets, outdoor furniture and a pot to help you pick plants – great selection of succulents! Also, right now they have edible products and they can help you create a vegetable garden or vegetable garden.

• 2. Green Arrow Nursery : It’s a long way from 405 in Northridge, but the selection and prices couldn’t be beat. Check out the 4″ pot section near the entrance for the best deals: try to find begonias, scented geraniums, disposable plants, herbs, etc. The place is huge with a huge fruit tree tract and a greenhouse with houseplants. . nine0003

• 3. Plant Stand is located in Costa Mesa, but it’s a great place to collect gifts, plants and everything you need to build a whole garden or just a container.

• 4. California Cactus Center Just east of Pasadena is the Mecca of cacti and succulents, with a large selection of pots and decorative stones. If you’re looking for something out of the ordinary, this is the place to be.

• 5. Big Red Sun in Venice is inspiring as soon as you look at it. Inside there is a good selection of succulents and small plants, a boutique with ready-made plantings, mid-century style outdoor furniture, locally made gifts, etc. They also host events in the space, so subscribe to their mailing list to be included.

• 6. Rolling Greens has two locations, one in Beverly and one in Culver City. They have great terrarium building events and amazing gifts. Their displays are inspiring, and while they don’t contain the whole must of plants, they make up for it with garden books, carefully selected plants and arrangements. nine0003

• 7. World Exotic is a hidden gem that definitely doesn’t get in the way, but it’s worth it. An excellent choice and favorite among landscape designers and architects.

• 8. Marina Garden Center Marina Del Rey has a huge nursery with trees, roses, small succulents, houseplants, whatever, the selection is incredible. If you are in the west this is a great place to stop and find exactly what you need. Prices can be a bit more expensive but worth it because you don’t have to pass by Sepulveda. nine0003

• 9. Hashimoto Nursery in Little Santa Monica on Savella The plants and exhibits are so meticulously cared for that I am enchanted every time. The Japanese nursery has a large selection of plants and a wealth of knowledge on how to care for them. Plus it’s close to great food and shopping.

• 10. Theodore Payne in Tujunga is dedicated to native California plants. Operating as a non-profit organization, they offer lessons in drought-tolerant gardening as well as growing native plants and selling them from their nursery.
