We are so grateful we found Wonder Kids for our two boys. Our 3 year old was there from 6 weeks until 2.5 years, and our 8 month old has been there since 8 weeks. Harpreet cares for them as if they were her own and they have really become like family to us. They’ve also created a great learning environment, and our oldest was well-prepared when he started Montessori school. I have so much peace of mind knowing my babies are with Harpreet.

Wonder Kids is an amazing daycare and I would recommend it to anyone! Ms Harpreet has taken great care of our two kids since they were three months old. She and her family genuinely care about the little ones and embrace them as part of their family. Our kids love going there and receive the best care and attention I could imagine.

We are so happy that we found Wondercare! Our two daughters, 3 and 1.5, have both loved being there and learned so much. We feel like we have gained a second family. I can go to work knowing that my daughters are in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. I highly recommend this home daycare.

You could not ask for a better in home care. The level of care provided to our children is second to none. It is a loving environment with the correct amount of fun, learning, and structure to make for a great experience for children and families.

My son went to Wondercare since he was he was 7months old. It felt to good to have him at a home daycare where I knew he was getting the one on one attention he needed. Ms Harpreet and uncle treated him like their own. I felt very comfortable that he was in a safe home environment. Highly recommend this daycare.

Our first daughter has been with Wonder Kids since she was 5 months old and she’s now 4. Our second has been there since she was 10 weeks old. I couldn’t ask for better care! It’s as if I’m caring for them myself. They truly become a second family. Our 4 year old is well prepared for K and our baby is smiling and happy every morning dropoff and evening pick up. Even after moving 40 min away, we still make the drive every day because they are that good! I highly recommend them!

Our child has been with Wonder Kids since he was 11 weeks old. He is now 5 and heading to kindergarten. They are very caring, loving, and attentive and from the first day never worried about my child in their care. They are part of our family now. Couldn’t find a better place and I’m so glad we found them! If you’re in the Durham Area please check them out!

How coronavirus causes insomnia and how to beat it
Too much bad news and too much uncertainty. This year has spoiled the nerves of even the strongest, and sleep disturbances are part of the mosaic. Insomnia, shallow sleep, constant drowsiness – experts tell how to cope with the problems caused by the pandemic.
Alla Rezyapova
Do you have to wear gloves on the subway? And on the bus? Should I wear a mask, or will a silk scarf work? Will there be police raids and fines? Will kindergartens be closed again? How much more to work remotely? All these issues are causing great stress and uncertainty, and we are updating and updating the news feed to find out what measures are being taken in the regions and what is happening with the neighbors. And after – we can’t fall asleep for hours, and we feel “boiled” all day. And fatigue is already growing like a snowball. Experts in an interview with Huffpost told how to beat insomnia in eight simple steps. nine0003
During the pandemic, we felt connected to the whole world, and at the same time very lonely and isolated from others. We spent less time with people and were less active, also due to the closure of public spaces.
– This is Jade Wu, a licensed clinical psychologist and sleep researcher in Durham, North Carolina.
We get nervous, we don’t sleep well because of it, and we get nervous again – it’s not easy to break such a vicious circle. Due to poor sleep, immunity weakens, the risk of cardiovascular diseases increases, which increases our risks during a pandemic. But let’s not exacerbate stress, we tell you what can be done. nine0003
Admit the problem
Sleep disturbances are normal for 2020. This year, many slept less than they should and less than they would like. If you admit that you have a sleep problem, it will help not to feel additional stress whenever you cannot fall asleep or wake up.
Get your laptop out of bed
And have a serious discussion with your husband in the kitchen. Make the bedroom a place only for sleeping and relaxing: if necessary, arrange or lay out items that will help you tune in to relaxation. Bring an aroma lamp and candles if it’s easier to fall asleep with them. Remove your desk and exercise machine from your bedroom, and turn off work chats before going to bed. nine0003
Always wake up at the same time and go to bed really tired
Routine helps reduce stress, and waking up at the same time every day helps you feel sleepy in the evening. If the evening has come, but you still don’t want to sleep, don’t force yourself. If you were not too active during the day, it is natural that in the evening you will not be too sleepy.
Instead of tossing and turning in bed, go there only if you are really ready. nine0003
Move at least a little every day
And try to go for a walk. The body releases endorphins after exercise. Hormones of joy help to cope with stress and autumn despondency. If you don’t have the strength for a walk or sports, at least go out to sit in the yard.
Eat at the same time
Regular meals help establish circadian rhythms. Have three or four snacks during the day – this is also a break that helps to switch. nine0003
Learn to distinguish between fatigue and sleepiness
We often confuse fatigue and sleepiness. Moreover, the body can get tired not only from physical exertion, but also from mental efforts and bad news. Sarah Silverman, a sleep psychologist in Tampa, Florida, says you don’t have to go to bed feeling tired—without feeling sleepy, you can toss and turn for hours and get nervous.
In this case, a hot bath, a walk, meditation or a TV series will help. When you feel sleepy, your body will become lethargic and your eyes will begin to close. nine0003
If you feel lethargic the next day due to insomnia, experts recommend taking a half-hour cat nap.
Get out of bed if you start running anxious thoughts in your head
It works the same as with a laptop: the bed is a place of rest and relaxation, it should not be associated with negative thoughts and feelings. If disturbing thoughts bother you, try writing them down on a sheet before going to bed. Just record the stream of thoughts for forty minutes. In addition, you can ask a psychologist for a special table that helps to understand the nature of anxiety and thus overcome it. Meditation can also help. nine0003
Do something that doesn’t require turning your head on
Vacuum the carpet, wash the dishes, put the clothes from the dryer in the closet. Helps to fall asleep – instead of a bedtime story – a boring audiobook. Some recommend different relaxation and meditation techniques: for example, before going to bed, mentally “scan” the entire body from heels to head. Try to visualize yourself in a safe place – in your own nursery or on the south beach. Imagine your problems and worries as a boat and send them adrift. nine0003
