NOTICE OF DESTRUCTION OF SPECIAL EDUCATION RECORDS
Special Education records which have been collected by Douglas County School District related to the identification, evaluation, educational placement, or the provision of special education in the district, must be maintained under state and federal laws for the period of five (5) years after special education services have ended for the student. Special education services end when the student is no longer eligible for services, graduates, or completes his/her educational program at age 21, or moves from the district. This notification is to inform parents/guardians and former students of Douglas County School District’s intent to destroy the special education records of students who exited special education services as of June 30, 2016. These records will be destroyed in accordance with state law unless the parent/guardian or eligible (adult) student notifies the school district otherwise. After five years, the records are no longer useful to the district, but may be useful to the parent/guardian or former student in applying for social security benefits, rehabilitation services, college entrance, etc. The parent/guardian or eligible (adult) student may request a copy of the records by requesting the records by email to [email protected]

In the US, near Columbine, a bloody school shooting was staged

In the US state of Colorado (near the infamous Columbine School) , two students staged a shooting at STEM School Highlands Ranch .

As a result of one schoolboy was killed, eight more were injured. Specifically, , two students broke into building and started shelling from both sides, CNN reports. In total, 1850 people study at the school. (Scroll to the bottom of the page to view photos and videos).

Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock said law enforcement arrived on the scene within two minutes.

“When the officers arrived at the school, they could still hear the shots,” he stressed.

The suspect’s car was found in the parking lot.

An 18-year-old student died on the spot as a result of the shooting. Eight schoolchildren were hospitalized in local hospitals, several of them are in critical condition. The youngest victim is 15 years old.

The shooters have been detained. One of them is a minor.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, in Southern California on April 27, a 19-year-old man shot a synagogue with a machine gun at believers who were preparing to celebrate Easter.

Attacks on educational institutions are not uncommon all over the world.

  • In December 2012, a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut killed 20 children and six adults.

  • In 2014, a 10th grade student fired at school No. 263 in Moscow. He fired at teacher , who died soon after. When the police arrived at the call, the shooter opened fire in their direction, wounding one of them and killing the second.

  • In 2016, a shooting occurred at a school in the remote village of La Loche, located in the northwest of the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. The teenager killed 90,003 his two brothers and the daughter of the acting mayor.

  • On February 14, 2018, at a school in Parkland, South Florida, an unknown person opened fire on students, killing at least 90,003 17 people and injuring more than 20.

  • So, on October 17, 2018, in the occupied Crimean city of Kerch, there was a terrorist attack at the Polytechnic College. According to preliminary information, 90,003 people died, 21 people were injured, about 50 were injured. A suspect in the massacre – college student Vladislav Roslyakov committed suicide.

  • On March 14, 2019, in a school in Brazil, where 90,003 people were killed and 17 injured during an attack, 90,004 were shot with a pistol and then finished off with an axe.
