With broken hearts we hosted a listening session for families today who wanted to connect regarding the tragedy in Texas after drop off. We will again tomorrow. Families requested information about how to talk… More to their children in times of trauma. Most important for our little ones-
1. Avoid letting them see/hear the news on media. Any information you want them to know should come from you
2. Share with our children that the grown ups we know at school always try their hardest to help keep them safe

My beautiful mama retired today! I am so proud to call her my mom. She has showed me such strong work ethic and perseverance. Today was a special day where we celebrated her for all her hard work and 17 years… More at Hayward Unified! She was surprised with a beautiful luncheon prepared by all her coworkers. Her student’s parents brought gifts flowers and so much love! Daniela and I drove from Fresno for the day to be with her. We couldn’t miss it! She was so surprised we were there! Here are some special pictures and videos of today!

Description: The goal of Kidango’s full-day and part-day preschool program is for children to be successful in school and throughout their lives and to provide each child with a positive self-concept, a joy for learning and ability to work and play with others in a safe, creative and fun environment.
Current research confirms that children learn best when they experience a variety of developmentally appropriate learning activities that incorporate a child’s individual strengths, needs and interests. Kidango integrates the research based Creative Curriculum materials and resources into our preschool curriculum planning process. Our teachers observe and document children’s interests, activities and learning on a regular basis, and regularly refer to assessment data to create and provide curriculum which is interesting and meaningful to each child. Teachers provide activities that are intentional, with clear content learning goals in mind that are in alignment with the learning foundations established by the California Department of Education and Head Start Child Outcomes Framework.
