Our Approach

The Ivybrook team believes that a hybrid curriculum that incorporates a variety of educational approaches is the best way for children to receive the best early childhood education. That’s why our curriculum draws from three approaches: Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and the Theory of Multiple Intelligences. These techniques are woven into all of our half-day programs and provide children with a progressive, well-rounded experience.

Our academic PreSchool programs are offered for 10 months during the year and, during the summer months, we offer our part-day camps. Our summer program for children ages two through six consists of exciting themes, activities, and opportunities for exploration. COVID UPDATE

At Kirk Children’s Center our highest priority is the health and safety of our students and staff.  We have been advised by a task force that spent extensive time and thought preparing guidelines to open our preschool as safely as possible.  Teachers and children are welcome to wear masks but are not required.  Our facilities are cleaned extensively before, throughout, and after each day.   We encourage children to wash hands throughout the day.  Any teacher or child showing signs of COVID is encouraged to remain at home to avoid spreading germs. If you have any specific questions about our protocols in regards to COVID, please feel free to call the school!
