When Princess Charlotte goes to school
Other people’s children are growing fast: it would seem that just a year ago, Princess Charlotte of Cambridge was enrolled in the prestigious Willcocks Nursery School in Kensington, and it is time for her to move on to a new step in her education. In May, Her Highness will be 4 years old, which means that the young princess can already start school.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte
“The first bell” for Charlotte will ring in September, however, the baby will not go to the first grade. The thing is that in the UK, school education begins only at the age of five, but students have the right to start attending classes a year earlier in order to get used to the new environment, get used to the classes, and so on. For example, Prince George of Cambridge did not go to first grade until 2018, although his first day at school took place back in 2017.
And speaking of George. There is already preliminary information that the parents of Her Highness have decided on the choice of an educational institution. The daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will become a student of Thomas’s Battersea, the same school where her older brother is currently studying.
Princess Charlotte…
…and her family at St. James’s Palace, July 9, 2018
According to insiders, the choice of Thomas’s Battersea as the school for the princess was not only due to the wide educational program, but also to safety aspects . It was previously reported that the school, located in southwest London, is “great for Prince George.”
As for the training program, it is really extensive and comprehensive. In the first grade, Princess Charlotte will have to study both mathematics, English, history, geography and religious studies, as well as French, computer science, art and design. Another very important detail (which will undoubtedly please Her Highness): the students of Thomas’s Battersea study with teachers of music, drama and even ballet.
The Cambridges have said many times before that their daughter loves dancing. In December, during a visit to the Royal Opera, Duchess Kate thanked the ballet company for “a little introduction” to the young princess in the art of ballet. According to Kate, Charlotte was “happy” and has since been “very passionate” ( see also: “Duchess Kate secretly took Princess Charlotte to the theater”).
The Duchess of Cambridge with her daughter at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, 19 May 2018 ). It is possible that after the end of Thomas’s Battersea, George and Charlotte, and possibly Louis, will study at Marlborough College in Wiltshire, where Kate Middleton studied in the past ( see also: “How Kate Middleton went from ‘victim of ridicule’ to confident lady”). This institution, unlike Eton, accepts both boys and girls.

Princess Charlotte’s cheeky nickname at school that will definitely upset Kate Middleton
Princess Charlotte, Prince George, Prince Louis at Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee 2022
Princess Charlotte is only seven years old, but she is growing up with a strong and confident personality. And Her Highness’s “daring” nature earned her an unusual school nickname. The young lady, fourth in line to the throne, is showing unparalleled audacity, according to a royal expert, which could possibly upset her mother. Like her younger brother, the princess was known as a real fidget ( read also: In the footsteps of Prince Louis: the restless Charlotte of Cambridge “stole the show” from her parents (fans are delighted)).
Queen’s examiner Cathy Nicholl said that Charlotte’s nickname was given to her during her time at Willcocks Nursery. Because of her “daring” nature, the girl was affectionately called the “warrior queen”. Katy explained to Entertainment Tonight, “She must have earned that nickname because it’s obvious she’s a princess, but she’s a real tomboy. She loves to climb trees and is a big adventurer, she was quite famous for her cheeky personality. I wonder if that nickname can stay with her.”
Princess Charlotte, Prince George, Prince Louis attend Christmas service at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, December 25, 2022
However, “warrior princess” is not Princess Charlotte’s only nickname. It looks like Kate and William have a different relationship with their only daughter. Dad gave her a completely amazing and tender nickname, reflecting quivering fatherly love ( read also: Favorite daughter: a touching nickname that William gave Charlotte). Kate, on the other hand, prefers simplicity: royal fans have heard her call her daughter “Lottie,” a popular shorthand for “Charlotte.”
It’s no surprise that Charlotte earned the nickname “warrior queen” since she is said to have a special tone with her brothers, allowing herself to raise both the younger and the older. Even her mother seems to have noticed this, as she once told another royal mother that “Charlotte is growing up really fast” and that “she’s in charge.” The public was convinced of this statement when Lottie and her brothers George and Louis attended the Platinum Jubilee celebration of the reign of Queen Elizabeth last summer. Then Charlotte made sure that Louis did not overdo it with waving to the audience, slightly pushing him.
