Conflicted 2nd Year Associate here. I generally like my firm but obviously hate the practice of law (biglaw). I’ve been offered a fairly generous comp package to take a non-attorney compliance role with a FAANG company. While there is a modest base pay cut, the total comp (sign on + annual bonus + options) beats where I’m at now and probably will be better than Cravath-scale (including bonus) through at least Year 4. Since I know I’ll bail for in-house anyway, should I go now or wait?

I switched jobs in September 2021. Old job was $54k annually. New one is $147k and $20k sign on bonus. I have 45% of my IRA in traditional and 65% in Roth. Should I rollover the traditional to Roth right now? My rationale for wanting Roth is the principle is more accessible. Goal is also to pay less taxes and retire early.

The 17 highest-paying jobs at Google

Here are the 17 of the highest-paying jobs at Google by Cathy Canales.

Mark Blinch/Reuters

Google loves its engineers.

But Google is not only about programming. And judging by Glassdoor’s annual salary data, Google is willing to pay big bucks for the best candidates, regardless of their field of work.

Glassdoor receives its information from former and current employees of companies who voluntarily and anonymously share their salaries.

With this data, we’ve compiled the 17 highest paid jobs, from director of marketing to chief product manager and technical director. For accuracy, we have included only those positions for which there were at least five reviews.

Read the list below to find out how much the highest paid Google employees earn.

17. General Manager Online Sales and Operations

Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images
