Since 1998, Sierra Charter School has offered students an alternative to traditional public school.
We serve students throughout the Central Valley – no referral needed to enroll.
Through independent study and classroom instruction, students have fun doing hands-on activities and labs, and getting to know their teachers and peers in a safe, caring learning environment.
We are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges with a focus to enhance each student’s unique skills, passions, and talents through a personalized program that supports their learning needs.

Fresno State is located in the heart of the Central Valley, also known as the Central Valley. The Fresno State campus spans approximately 1,400 acres, with over 4,000 trees and many green open spaces, creating a park-like learning environment. - Campus work . Campus work must be done on campus (including commercial businesses that provide services to students on campus, such as the school bookstore or cafeteria). Students are eligible to apply for on-campus employment during their first semester of study at Fresno State after receiving approval from the International Office. nine1500
- Training Practice (CPT) is an employment option available to F-1 students prior to program completion where employment is considered an integral part of the curriculum or academic program, such as an internship.
- Severe economic hardship . A student from Fresno State must have F-1 status for one full academic year before he or she is eligible to apply for a residence permit in severe economic hardship.
