www.Care.com/msu: Care.com is a one-stop destination to find babysitters, nannies, senior/elder care support, housekeepers and even pet sitters! Their site allows you to view detailed profiles of their vetted providers and select by experience, hourly rate, availability and more.

If you have needs for care in other areas across the nation (for example, if your elder mom lives in Florida, or you have a conference in Atlanta and you want to take your baby) you can find care anywhere!

You can also look for College Caregivers—if you want to have access to MSU students’ profiles, you can search the system by college.

You must enroll with your MSU NetID email address. Michigan State University gives MSU affiliates free access to view profiles, post job descriptions and communicate with providers. It is your responsibility to hire providers and pay a negotiated rate for them to work in your home.

Development Center – Where to find a kindergarten with a swimming pool and heated floors

Despite the strict rules for the construction of kindergartens, developers manage to build high-quality and unusual buildings. They consider the construction of such facilities in the territories of large-scale development to be their social responsibility.

Legacy of the Soviet era

Standards for the design and construction of kindergartens were formed back in 1950-1970s. At that time, they were more progressive than many norms of European countries, for example, in the field of ensuring the safety and health of children.

In the 1990s, existing SNiPs and SanPiNs were developed on the basis of Soviet standards. Everything is spelled out in these documents: from choosing a site to catering for pupils. Kindergarten can only be built away from industrial enterprises, on a site with a limited level of noise and air pollution, always with high-quality landscaping. Playgrounds should be individual for each group and should be lit by the sun during the daytime.

There are hundreds of requirements for kindergarten projects, they are constantly being tightened. “In 2016, we made further changes to the SNiPs and SanPiNs for the design of children’s educational institutions. With the adoption of new standards, the total area of ​​the kindergarten building, the area of ​​land required for comfortable placement of this facility has increased. The requirements for dispatching and fire safety have changed,” says Galina Pilipenko, head of the Department for Prospective Development and Support of Projects at the Development Center company.

The quality of kindergartens as an indicator of social responsibility

Compliance with numerous, often changing requirements is an additional responsibility for developers. Especially considering that the construction of children’s institutions is a non-core activity for them. Fortunately, the concept of social responsibility for many companies is not an empty phrase, but a recognized necessity.

“We have no obligations to the city. But we understand our responsibility to future residents, so on the territory of our project “On Tsarskoye Selo Hills” on Petersburg Highway, in the courtyard of the low-rise residential complex “Exemplary Quarter 2”, we built a kindergarten for 140 children with a swimming pool,” says Galina Pilipenko.

Like all residential complexes built by Terminal-Resource LLC, the kindergarten will be commissioned ahead of schedule. The institution will be ready to accept children in the fall of this year. In the near future, the developer plans to transfer the kindergarten to the balance of the city, the corresponding order has already been signed. The institution received the official name and number – GBDOU kindergarten No. 47 of the Pushkinsky district of St. Petersburg.

Modern gardens inside and outside

What is a kindergarten built according to modern standards and technologies? Consider the example of the first kindergarten of the project “On the Tsarskoye Selo Hills”.

Kindergarten No. 47 is designed for children aged 1 to 7 years. It was built according to an individual project, using the same monolithic-brick technology as the residential complex “Exemplary Quarters”.

As utilities become more expensive, the introduction of energy-saving technologies becomes a necessity. Kindergarten No. 47 used the Capatect facade insulation system. It is made of eco-friendly materials and durable. In addition, the kindergarten has its own boiler room. For the comfort of the kids in the group rooms laid “warm floors”.

The appearance of the building is also important. The facades of the kindergarten are made in bright colors. Originality is given to them by randomly located windows of different sizes. And in order to create a “rainbow” mood for the little pupils, the developer painted the outer slopes of the windows and entrance porches in different colors.

On the ground floor of the kindergarten there is a swimming pool measuring 3 x 6 meters with all the accompanying facilities: showers, toilets, changing rooms. The pool is equipped with imported equipment. Thus, the developer has done everything possible to make the children feel comfortable, safe and joyful in the kindergarten.

What the Model Neighborhoods look like

Residential complexes “Exemplary Quarters” are being built by the developer “Development Center”. They are being built on the Petersburg Highway, near the Expoforum, as part of the large-scale project “On the Tsarskoye Selo Hills”. New settlers can quickly get to anywhere in the city along the Pulkovskoye Highway, Vitebsky Prospekt or the Ring Road. The path to the nearest metro stations takes 10-15 minutes.

The environs of Tsarskoye Selo are famous for their good ecology – there are even more sunny days on the Pulkovo Heights than in St. Petersburg. In addition to green areas in the residential complex, residents can enjoy magnificent parks in Pushkin and Pavlovsk.

All necessary social facilities are planned in the project “On the Tsarskoye Selo Hills”. Among them – 12 kindergartens and 5 schools with swimming pools. There are shops, restaurants, shopping and entertainment centers, a hotel. The equestrian club “Ryder” is already operating nearby. In the future, tennis courts and an ice arena will open.

In addition, residents can use the infrastructure of Pushkin, which is 5 minutes away by car. This city has not only palaces and parks, but also many shopping and entertainment complexes, children’s and family centers. In these institutions, you can develop the intellectual and artistic abilities of the child, prepare him for school, hone his sports skills, discover musical or dancing talent.
