My name is Yzing. I’m a US citizen who originated from the Philippines. I was a Catholic school teacher in Queens, NY. I have experience in tutoring school children of different age group, pre-K to 8th graders privately. I’m looking for a supplemental job as a Nanny. I am responsible, patient, considerate, affectionate and caring. With my teaching and tutoring experience with school children, and present nannying experience, I would say that I will be able to take care of your child’s growth and development….

Recent Review:

Yzing will be with our family for about 7 months until school starts full time. Yzing has taken amazing care of my 3 year daughter. She is very kind, dependable (never late), never on her phone, and she trulytreats my daughter like her own family. She did drop offs and pickups for activities and school and prepared my daughter’s meals. Needless to say, my daughter adores her. Yzing is also very tidy and a great cook, and I often come home to an organized home and a delicious meal.
Yzing is a naturally happy, positive, and outgoing person, and one of her best qualities is that she is social with nannies and families, and will organize play dates after school, which helped my daughter deepen her friendships with her classmates/friends.
Any family would be lucky to have Yzing. I would be happy to speak as a reference for her….

Filipino babysitters: why are they the best?

If you decide to take a universal assistant to your house, who will keep the house in perfect order, take care of your children, teach them a foreign language, while remaining practically invisible, the choice is obvious – a nanny from the Philippines.

Why Filipinas are chosen
Island girls are taught from early childhood to be obedient and work, so they are diligent and diligent. Equally important are national character traits, thanks to which entire generations of Filipinos have been working around the world as service personnel and are considered the best in their profession.

◼ conscientious
Perhaps the main positive trait for employers.
A babysitter will never leave before her working day is over.

Live-in nanny-housekeeper will not only work 12-14 hours a day, but live in the rhythm of the family, fully adjusting to your schedule.

A Filipina will never hack around doing her job. Even if you need to leave, you can be sure that your home is thoroughly cleaned every day.

An island helper does not separate babysitting and housework, she helps with all matters with pleasure, she will easily agree to work on weekends.

◼ honest
Very clean in everyday life and morally.
You don’t have to worry about your valuables when you host a Filipina.

◼ obedient
Do not discuss instructions given to them, but follow them exactly. They do not try to do their own thing and prove to you that they are right.

◼ light, smiling and sincere
Filipinos are distinguished by a consistently positive outlook on life, they are not used to complaining about circumstances. More than material goods, island helpers value emotions from communication, respect in society and peace of mind.

◼ inconspicuous and unobtrusive
Only an assistant from the Philippines knows how to be where she is needed at that moment, and then … disappear.

◼ tactful, reserved and not curious
Respect their employers, not interested in their personal affairs and problems, do not violate personal space.

◼ Religious
Filipinos are Christians of the Catholic Church. This softens a little the colossal difference between our cultures.

Why Filipinos are the best nannies

When choosing a nanny for her child, every mother wants her baby to be surrounded by sincere love and kindness, respect and care. Love helps children to form self-confidence, a positive perception of the world. Kindness and respect bring up flexibility and tolerance in a child.
Smiling Filipina nannies are able to love your child as if they were their own. Children are always a blessing to them. From such a nanny you will never hear complaints about children. The girl will never raise her voice at them. All conflicts and misunderstandings will be resolved gently and patiently.

For a family looking to raise their children in a bilingual environment, a nanny from the Philippines is a great option. Foreign staff from other countries rarely combine good language skills and childcare with full housekeeping.
An English-speaking nanny from Asia helps create a language environment in which children grow up bilingual.
Many people are afraid of the accent of girls, it really is. But, if you choose a candidate with a higher education, then the level of English will be decent, and the pronunciation too – if not British, but good American. This is important if you are looking for a nanny-tutor whose duties include teaching the child to read and write. For a nanny-housekeeper, the level of the language received at school is sufficient.
Communication with her will be additional conversational practice in a relaxed and direct environment, which will allow your child to quickly learn a foreign language.

Like a nanny of any nationality, a Filipina needs to be chosen according to the requirements of the family, to look at how comfortable it is to stay in the house of this particular person, and, most importantly, to look at how her interaction with children develops. As a rule, children communicate with Filipino nannies with great desire and interest.

Filipino nannies: learned how they are hired and why so many people love them

Since I’m in the Philippines, I decided to figure out how it all works from the inside. Let’s talk about how they are hired, how much they pay, what kind of people are they who are ready to fly to a foreign country to earn money: are they running from something? Can they be trusted?

I present to you my little investigation.

Hiring!

Job advertisements hang on every post. The most popular countries are Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan. From there, Filipinas usually go further: to the UAE, Russia, Europe.

What the Filipinas are promised: assistance in preparing all documents, a salary of 400 dollars. Separately, they note that you can take a mobile phone with you 🙂

Although the moment with the phone is funny, but as I found out, this is a guarantee that everything will really be fair. Still, there are times when such workers do not get where they wanted at all. And not at all for that job…

The conclusion is this: it is almost impossible to work in Singapore and Japan without registration. Filipinos go through all sorts of commissions before starting work in these countries. Compared to their requirements, a Russian work permit is a trifle. You can take.

2. Why do they leave the country?

Well, everything is banal here. There are several reasons, and all of them stem from low wages (about $200 per month):

Low social protection
No access to medical services
A large family that needs help
Children need to be educated
Roughly speaking, people simply go to work where their work will be at least somehow appreciated.

I’ve heard tales that many Filipinos who left their country are fugitives or even “undercover” drug couriers.

Of course, this is all nonsense. Even if there were such cases, this does not mean that all the hundreds of thousands of people who left are criminals.

3. And why are they so good?

Absolutely everyone with whom I spoke during the preparation of the material noted the diligence of the Filipino staff. Whether it is a Filipino sailor or a nanny, a builder or a housekeeper – everyone copes with their task by all means.

Specifically about nannies – there is a big plus and at the same time a minus. They speak English very well and you can easily communicate with them. This is the second state. language in the Philippines.

“Where is the minus here?” – you ask.

The minus is in their pronunciation: almost everyone has it wrong. Instead of the sound “Ve” they can say “Bae”, and instead of “F” they say “P.” Even the Philippines in their mouths sound like “Pilipins” 🙂

Your children can learn this pronunciation.
