AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

Fall River KinderCare Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.

Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.

Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program

Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)

KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.

Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)

Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)

There is a wonderful autumn in Krasnoyarsk. This is an amazingly beautiful time, despite the fact that we do not have snow-white majestic peaks, breathtaking waterfalls and alluring seas. The mountain taiga, cut by clear cold rivers, pleases us with bright autumn colors, clear air and morning fogs. nine0016
1. Mana Loop in autumn

Not far from the city (40 kilometers), the Mana River flows, bizarrely winding between the taiga hills. One of its bends is so picturesque that people deliberately climb the mountain above this place to look at the interesting river loop. She was even given a name: Manskaya loop. Many climb the mountain, but no one, except Misha and me, stays to spend the night on the top. There are good reasons for this. The slopes of the mountain are very steep and loose, climbing up and down is not so easy, especially if you bring a tent and other accessories for spending the night with you. In addition, you will have to carry water, because there is none at the top, and the Mana River runs far below. And there is not much flat place for a tent on a narrow crest of a mountain. Therefore, before sunset, all visitors leave the observation deck, and reappear on it no earlier than noon. Here we come and spend the most beautiful hours over the Manskaya Loop, enjoying solitude with nature: forest, river, grass, birds chirping; and of course beautiful views. If you are lucky, and it rains at night, then in the morning small snails crawl to visit us, which always delight me. From time to time we go to the Manskaya loop for a date with nature, but this time we came to be alone with autumn. nine0016 Leaving the car on the outskirts of the village of Mansky, we walked along the river for three kilometers to the loop. The weather is now warm and clear like in summer. We walked in T-shirts, and it was already mid-September. The last time such a warm autumn was in 2012. I still remember her with a pleasant feeling, and here again nature gives us a little joy. At the loop, we started climbing the mountain and it was not easy. It is good that the mountain is not very high. On the slope we met three girls going down. They had gone half way and were afraid to go further. They asked if there was an easier way down, but we replied that this way was the easiest. We tried to cheer them up by saying that they were lucky because it hadn’t rained for a long time and the trail was dry now. It could have been worse, and indeed, they had already overcome the most difficult section at the top. nine0016 Every time I come with Misha to the Manskaya loop an hour or two before sunset, I feel a joyful feeling of anticipation that we will see a colorful sunset, sit by the fire at dusk, drink tea and have dinner, watch how the sky turns on stars, and the morning can please us with a wonderful dawn. A good mood covers me like a fog and is in no hurry to dissipate. So it was this time.

2. We pitched the tent before sunset

3. Bonfire

4. Gatherings by the fire

5. Moonlit night

Haze hung in the air above the mountains. It thickened towards night and covered the stars, but this did not prevent us from spending a cozy and lovely evening by the fire. We climbed into our sleeping bags only one hour after midnight, and at five in the morning we were already on our feet, and, shivering from the morning chill, boiled tea and prepared to meet the dawn. A dense blanket of mist lay over the river, along which the moonlight trailed. The fog didn’t go away even after dawn and we descended into it on our way home. nine0024

6. Veil of fog over Mana

7. Descending into the fog

Walking along the Mana, we took off our jackets and sweaters: the sun came out and it became summer-like warm again. We were met by several groups of tourists in high spirits. Surely they were in a hurry to the observation point to see the Manskaya loop. I had no doubt that they would enjoy their trip, although I knew that the most beautiful time still went to us.

  • Autumn walk by the river | Origins

    “Golden autumn

stormed off with an enchanting amber September…”

Eh, I didn’t have time to capture the golden autumn 2020 in the photographs due to gardening and gardening chores, somehow the leaves quickly flew around. In early October, we went to the forest, to the river – for a walk, to take pictures.

Autumn walk by the river is a real relaxation. Fresh air, the murmur of water, the rustle of dry leaves and grass underfoot, beautiful autumn landscapes. Although there are almost no leaves left on many trees, nature still pleases the eye. nine0024

    Kakwa River in October.

In fact, we walked along the banks of two rivers – Kakva and Zamaraika, and it would be more correct to call the story – an autumn walk in the interfluve. First, we walked along the Kakva River to the mouth of the Zamaraika River, and then returned to the road along the Zamaraika. Three years ago, I wrote about a walk in this place on a frosty November morning and posted the video “Walk in the Interfluve”. The landscape then was completely different – fabulous, everything was covered in frosty hoarfrost. At the beginning of October, although we did not find a lush golden autumn, we also contemplated interesting views of the river. nine0024

Golden autumn turned into a red fox.

I also remembered how almost six years ago in January we went skiing on the snowy Kakva from the village of Vyatchino to Kiselyovka. We passed through these places.

Forest trail along the Kakva River.

It seems that someone drove a car along this path – the ruts are visible.

In some places you can see that the banks are collapsing, and the trees there grow at an angle, leaning towards the river.

The bank will soon collapse into the river.

The autumn sun, breaking through the clouds, reflects brightly from the surface of the water, which is why you have to squint when looking at the river. nine0024

Tall red grass on the shore.

River Kakva – Ural forest beauty.

    Autumn walk by the river.

    Autumn forest in the interfluve.

The flow in the river is not uniform, it depends on the depth. Where it is deeper – on the stretches, the current is quiet, calm, the water surface is like a mirror in which the forest is reflected. And on the rocky shallow water (rifts) on the surface of the river, ripples appear, sparkling in the sun with silver and resembling fish scales. On the rifts, the river is fast, talkative, as if in a hurry to tell about its journey among the Ural Mountains and the impenetrable taiga, about mowing meadows on its banks and sheer cliffs with grottoes and caves. nine0024

Reach and rift on the river.

“The riffle is often found in places where the riverbed widens, near the mouths of tributaries. ” And indeed, to the mouth of the Zamaraika River – the left tributary of the Kakva River, it is not long to go.

A small pebble beach on the banks of the Kakwa.

Ahead, around the bend, there will already be a widening of the channel, where the Zamaraika flows into the Kakva.

On the shore we notice bushes with dry grass hanging on them. It is during the spring flood that the water level rises and floods this section of the coast; here is the grass, brought by the current, and stuck on the branches of the bushes. Judging by the grass caught on the branches, the water level now rose about a meter here and a rather large area was flooded. nine0024

Bushes with hooked grass, indicating a spring flood.

We went to the cape at the confluence of two rivers.

    Kakva river in autumn.

Gorgeous bushes of tall grass grow on the cape, I think it is sedge.

Sedge. Autumn walk by the river.

    Confluence of two rivers.

It is interesting to watch the current in this place. Zamaraika flows into Kakva with two arms. And along the right sleeve, water flows in the opposite direction – from Kakva, and along the left – to Kakva.

River mouth Zamarayka – right sleeve. nine0024

After observing the unusual course of the rivers, listening to how “the water sings on the riffles”, we return.

    Ural autumn.

But we return by another way, we turned onto the path that goes closer to the Zamaraika river.

    Larch in autumn dress.

If the river Kakva is a mountain-taiga river originating on the slopes of Mount Olvinsky Kamen, then Zamaraika is a forest river. The source of this 15-kilometer river is hidden in the forest, between the former Bogoslovsko-Sosvinskaya railway and the existing Serov-Boksity railway near the Lobik station. nine0024

Coming out along the path to the bank of Zamaraika, they were surprised to see her with trees that fell across the channel or hung over the water itself. Probably, the water washes away the banks, washing the earth out from under the roots of the trees.

    Forest river.

From this view, I even exclaimed: “Zamarayka, she is a zamarayka.” Still, I wonder why this happens to the shores?

    Tree over the river.

In one place, a tree that fell into the river created a blockage for fallen autumn leaves. nine0024

    Leaf congestion.

Another strange tree met on the shore.

    Double-barreled birch on the shore.

The bark on birch trunks seems to be cut from top to bottom and looks burnt in places. Probably, the birch is affected by some kind of disease.

    Sick birch.

Marveling at such a strange tree, we continue our autumn walk by the river. Let’s go upstream.

Autumn in the forest. Walk by the river.

At this point, the river no longer looks dirty. nine0024

    “River, blue water!
Tell me, where are you running to?

And if you want to see this plain-looking river in all its glory, go to the village of Klyuchevoy in golden autumn. There is a wonderful Zamarai pond. It is even surprising how such a large pond formed on such a small river with a tiny dam. Read the story about the golden autumn walk on Zamaraika here.

We don’t want to walk along the bank with tall grass, we go out again to the path that has turned into a forest road. nine0024

    Forest road.

After walking a little along the road, we came to the open bank of the river.

    Zamaraika River in October.

Bridge over the Zamaraika on Kiselyovka.

From the bridge to the Kiselyovskoye reservoir, a little less than two kilometers along the road.

    Oct. Reflection in the river.

Here we have completed our little journey. Autumn walk by the river turned out to be interesting, despite the fact that we wandered along a familiar route. Yes, however, nature walks are always interesting; even if you walk around the same place every day, you will see something new and interesting. nine0024
