Tomando en cuenta factores de peso como años de recortes presupuestarios estatales a la educación superior, que afectan negativamente el costo y la calidad de las escuelas, el sitio web de finanzas personales WalletHub presentó su clasificación de los mejores colegios y universidades del 2018, junto a clasificaciones separadas para cada categoría (colegios y universidades).

Los analistas compararon casi 1,000 instituciones de educación superior en los EEUU en base a 26 medidas clave agrupadas en siete categorías incluyendo: selectividad estudiantil, costo-financiamiento y resultados de las carreras profesionales.
