The Tale of the Dragonfly and the Fair Wind (mystery tale): andp2027 — LiveJournal

I continue to write children’s fairy tales. This time a fairy tale-mystery about a Tailwind.

Lived, flew, fluttered, in the wide world, or rather in a clear and spacious glade Dragonfly. It was not the dragonfly that Ivan Krylov wrote about in his fable:

“The jumping dragonfly
Red summer sang,
I didn’t have time to look back,
How winter rolls into my eyes.”

Not at all. It was her neighbor, who lived in another, neighboring clearing. Our Dragonfly was not at all careless and carefree. On the contrary, she was very inquisitive and wanted to explore every corner of the clearing.

And then, somehow fluttering from flower to flower, she fluttered to its very edge, when suddenly something blue, immense and infinite opened up before her. No, it was not the sky, because the Dragonfly knew perfectly well that the sky was above. Flying near the unknown blue and immense, the Dragonfly realized that it was the River.

And there were a lot of rumors about the River among the dragonflies: some said that the most beautiful flowers grow behind it, others that on the other side of the River you can fly without getting tired at all, and still others generally said that you can live there for several lives in a row. Nobody knew who to believe, because none of the familiar dragonflies had been there.

Only large birds flew across the River, but they did not communicate with dragonflies and did not tell them anything.

And so our Dragonfly decided to fly across the River and explore the glades there.

And then she remembered what her grandmother had told her. And grandmother, as the wisest of dragonflies, knew that dragonflies could fly across the River only with a fair wind. Many daredevils tried to fly, and the few who succeeded found the Tailwind. Our Dragonfly was also a daredevil and decided to find him no matter what.

She flies up to the flower and says:

– Good flowering, Flower!
– Good flight, Dragonfly!
– Flower, but you didn’t see a fair wind flying here?
– You know, while I was in bloom, one breeze swayed me, but it had already flown away. Maybe he was a companion?

Dragonfly didn’t learn anything more from Flower and decided to ask Birch.

– Good rain to you, Birch! Have you met Tailwind?
– Over the years, while I was growing, many winds shook me, maybe there was a passing one among them, who knows, I stand still and grow.

Then the Dragonfly decided to ask the Stone.
– Good rest to you, Stone. I’m looking for a tailwind, do you know where it is?
The stone looked at the Dragonfly with displeasure and muttered through the cracks:
– A dashing one flew in here. Definitely not Passionate. He took it and dragged me from my familiar place. Now I’m lying, toiling under the sun.

Again the Dragonfly was left with nothing. She circled the clearing in thought. And then it occurred to her how to find a Tailwind.

This is what came to her mind. After all, everyone with whom she spoke grew, stood and lay in the same place! But the wind is fair, to meet on the way.

And then the Dragonfly decided to set off.

She approached the river and boldly fluttered further. The first five minutes, the flight is normal. The dragonfly was not at all tired. She flew too much to be tired in such a time.

But already at the seventh minute, she noticed that the end and edge of the river was still not visible. She was a little worried, but continued to fly, a little tired.

She had not reached the middle of the River, when the Headwind crashed into her at once. She rolled over, flapping her wings helplessly, while he carried her and carried her back.

And then the headwind stopped.

The native shore was already visible, and it was closer to fly to it. Return… “Return?” – thought our Dragonfly. “No, not at all” and again rushed to the road.

How hot the Sun was. Previously, the Dragonfly rejoiced at every ray, flying, bathed in the sunlight, and here, over the River, the Sun burned mercilessly and took away the last strength from the Dragonfly.

But she did not give up.

And then her strength began to leave her. She felt her flight slowly but steadily decline. Just a little more and the wings will touch the water. A little more they get wet, heavy, and that’s it, the end of the journey.

A wave is already coming that will inexorably touch our Dragonfly and drag us into the abyss of the river.

The dragonfly made two more flaps of its wings and…

… and suddenly felt someone pick it up from below and lift it above the waves.

It was a fair wind. “He finally arrived,” the Dragonfly was delighted. She felt so at ease! She suddenly felt such lightness in her wings, which did not happen even on the most sunny and beautiful day. She did not even make any effort, and kept flying and flying, soaring and soaring lightly on the wings of a Fair Wind to the desired bank of the River.

Finally, a fair wind brought her to the shore.

The dragonfly has landed, sent falling on the coastal sand. Now she needs to rest. Let’s give her a rest for now. And then she will look around, get comfortable, fly around and explore all the clearings and herself somehow tell about what she saw.

Philosophical fairy tales for children. Dragonfly and Earthworm

?

And it used to be… | And then it was like this…

– Oh, what a poor, poor, drying flower, how sorry I am for him, – Dragonfly said when she saw the drying Cornflower.

Earthworm crawling past heard her words.

– Is it true that the flower dries up? he asked Dragonfly. “I don’t have eyes, and I can’t see anything at all.

“True, true,” said the Dragonfly. – Honestly, the flower leaned almost to the very ground, and the leaves drooped helplessly and began to turn yellow. His roots probably don’t have enough water.

“Let’s help Cornflower,” suggested the blind Worm. “I will loosen the ground under it so that it is easier for the roots to drink water, and you collect the remaining drops of morning dew and give it to drink.

The Dragonfly silently flew away, and the Worm began to work. He loosened the earth around Vasilko, softened hard lumps and removed small pebbles that prevented water from seeping through. The Worm worked until the very evening, but the Dragonfly did not wait. She never showed up, and Worm never saw her again in his life.
