Apache2 Debian Default Page: It works
Apache2 Debian Default Page
This is the default welcome page used to test the correct
operation of the Apache2 server after installation on Debian systems.
If you can read this page, it means that the Apache HTTP server installed at
this site is working properly. You should replace this file (located at
/var/www/html/index.html) before continuing to operate your HTTP server.
If you are a normal user of this web site and don’t know what this page is
about, this probably means that the site is currently unavailable due to
maintenance.
If the problem persists, please contact the site’s administrator.
Debian’s Apache2 default configuration is different from the
upstream default configuration, and split into several files optimized for
interaction with Debian tools. The configuration system is
fully documented in
/usr/share/doc/apache2/README.Debian.gz. Refer to this for the full
documentation. Documentation for the web server itself can be
found by accessing the manual if the apache2-doc
package was installed on this server.
The configuration layout for an Apache2 web server installation on Debian systems is as follows:
/etc/apache2/ |-- apache2.conf | `-- ports.conf |-- mods-enabled | |-- *.load | `-- *.conf |-- conf-enabled | `-- *.conf |-- sites-enabled | `-- *.conf
-
apache2.conf is the main configuration
file. It puts the pieces together by including all remaining configuration
files when starting up the web server. -
ports.conf is always included from the
main configuration file. It is used to determine the listening ports for
incoming connections, and this file can be customized anytime. -
Configuration files in the mods-enabled/,
conf-enabled/ and sites-enabled/ directories contain
particular configuration snippets which manage modules, global configuration
fragments, or virtual host configurations, respectively. -
They are activated by symlinking available
configuration files from their respective
*-available/ counterparts. These should be managed
by using our helpersa2enmod,
a2dismod,a2ensite,
a2dissite,and
a2enconf,
a2disconf
. See their respective man pages for detailed information. -
The binary is called apache2. Due to the use of
environment variables, in the default configuration, apache2 needs to be
started/stopped with /etc/init.d/apache2 or apache2ctl.
Calling /usr/bin/apache2 directly will not work with the
default configuration.
By default, Debian does not allow access through the web browser to
any file apart of those located in /var/www,
public_html
directories (when enabled) and /usr/share (for web
applications). If your site is using a web document root
located elsewhere (such as in /srv) you may need to whitelist your
document root directory in /etc/apache2/apache2. conf.
The default Debian document root is /var/www/html. You
can make your own virtual hosts under /var/www. This is different
to previous releases which provides better security out of the box.
Please use the reportbug tool to report bugs in the
Apache2 package with Debian. However, check existing bug reports before reporting a new bug.
Please report bugs specific to modules (such as PHP and others)
to respective packages, not to the web server itself.

The first 5 years are fundamental, “childhood is destiny” in my own family apply what I do with your children and that has given good results, two almost adults enrolled in the best universities. The nursery is called sister because that is what we are here as a Family.
Send me a text and we can schedule a visit

Recent Review:
Sister Daycare has amazing amenities: lots of space for children to move around, many toys and different activities for children, a very large playground. Everything is very clean and well maintained.Communication with Isabel, the owner of the daycare, is very easy and quick. Isabel is very responsive to every single message and provided timely updates about our son. Isabel is a wonderful caregiver and she trained her staff to operate with the same excellence. They take care of children as if they are their own. Isabel was very accommodating to our infant son, ensuring that he has a dark space where he can take naps (because he can’t sleep in daylight). Isabel and her staff also made sure to track and encourage his developmental milestones. We had a wonderful time at Sister Daycare – thank you Isabel for everything you did for us!…

Au P’tit Monde
1980 Clarke Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94303
Starting at $1900/day
Description:
Au P’tit Monde de San Francisco and Au P’tit Monde de la P ninsule are two French Immersion Preschools for children 2-5 year olds. The lessons in the “Petite Ecole” and “Grande Ecole” take place entirely inFrench. Because of the way the brain develops in a child’s early years, children are able to learn foreign languages much easier at a younger age. From day one, APM Classes are taught using French immersion. Teachers utilize a combination of visual and verbal indicators when speaking, and students begin to understand and speak French right away.
The children at Au P’tit Monde come from many different cultures and backgrounds. Through stories, songs and games children learn to understand and express themselves in French. More than half of our students come from families where little or no French is spoken. Learning a language is easiest for young children and parents are often surprised how quickly their children pick the language up and bring home songs and poems from school.
The school is in a beautiful brick building on a tree lined street, where the many windows enhance our many rich learning environments. The classrooms are large with bright, spacious areas that give a holistic feeling of a home away from home. Each classroom has a mini atelier, a reading area/meeting area, building area, light table and dramatic play area.
The school is conveniently located five minutes away from freeway 101, the International School of the Peninsula and IKEA.

“Small free garden”
June 2017
It’s a small garden, it’s good for a quick walk, but remarks on special offer. It’s free including parking which is a big plus.
“Beautiful garden in the city!”
Apr. 2017
The garden is very beautiful! I’ve been here twice, the first time it was tulips in full bloom and the next time it was wisteria. Both times, I found the garden to be very calm and quiet. It is in very good condition and they continue to graft a new variety of flowers.

It’s a small garden, but amazingly planned and maintained for colorful visual! Stopped by here on our way to San Francisco and end up spending an hour easily. Beautiful flowers, different types of vegetables and trees. All nature lovers would definitely enjoy this place.

Spend an hour or two smelling the roses.
March 2022
You will be smiling and relaxing in no time while on the grounds of this fun, urban retreat. On my visit, the house itself was closed for a special event, but the gardens surprised me with how carefully and meticulously they are maintained, and with the tenacity for beauty that Mrs. Gamble must have had to bring in plants from far away places as well as more local varieties. All of her choices still live in harmony and continue to delight plant and flower lovers. It’s the perfect place to go on a sunny afternoon after lunch. You’ll be glad you did.

Very pretty garden
July 2021
The garden is larger than expected, considering it is basically part of a neighborhood. The garden contains many beautiful flowers along with plants, vegetables, shrubs, trees. There is a picnic table and a pretty white gazebo. The garden is sectioned off with shrubs and such, so be sure to walk around in order to not miss anything.

Elizabeth F. Gamble Garden- A Place of Beauty and Renewal
Feb. 2020
Located in the middle of Palo Alto among other beautiful homes and properties, the Elizabeth F. Gamble Garden is a joy to experience. Passing by it, as I have done frequently, the Gazebo is an interesting structure but the impact of the garden can only take place if one walks among the giant trees, many of them flowering, the bulbs and cacti. An intergenerational garden in which third graders participate donates its riches topical food banks. There is also a butterfly friendly space recently constructed. Luncheons take place once a month and there are classes and other garden related events.

A Slice of Green Elegance!
Oct. 2019
Gamble Gardens is a treat for any age visitor. Flower beds bursting with color and scent, beautiful shrubs and trees, all labeled, sun and shade, humming bees and butterflies. All this open to the public free, seven days a week, all year ’round, with special classes and programs (some free, most for a fee) and at sedate old home to be explored.

Gardeners paradise in Palo Alto
Aug. 2019
The Master Gardeners Club took over the whole city block bequests to the City of Palo Alto by Proctor and Gamble’s heiress Elizabeth Gamble – planted for year round flower displays, topiaries, handicap access gardens – it’s a lovely stroll and often used for weddings. Check out the Roses in the Round, find the pineapple fountain, sundial and the espaliered fruit trees

Heavenly Garden with Variety of Flowers in the Center of Palo Alto
May 2019
During our recent trip to San Francisco, my daughter took me and my wife on a tour of gardens around Palo Alto and Stanford University areas. We visited several well maintained gardens but Gamble Garden at Waverley Street was the best of all and here we roamed around for about one hour. Known to be owned by Elizabeth F Gamble of Proctor and Gamble family, this beautiful garden was donated to the city of Palo Alto. It has a variety of flowers, such as roses, tulips, dahlia and many wild type of uncommon flowers well laid out in a small area interspersed with gazebos, fountains and big trees. This garden also arranges workshops, mainly for children thus developing in them love for nature. The plants and flowers are also available on payment. There is a Victorian style house located within the garden, which is used for functions and parties. Though names of plants are displayed at some places but not for all plants and flowers. The only problem is about the non-availability of good rest rooms and drinking water for general public. We were told that good rest rooms and water are available inside the house-cum-office but that is restricted for public. on that day. Besides, we did not find any person there probably because of lunch time. On the whole, we liked the garden and its layout very much.

My friend was told about this place by a neighbor, the head of a large family. He took us there. Public transport in Palo Alto is generally a disaster. The place is interesting, especially for children. Of course, the zoo is very average in terms of the representation of fauna species, but everything is decorated and presented beautifully. Children really like it (there are a lot of them here), and adults are also interested in spending an hour or two.

We enjoyed our visit to the Palo Alto Junior Museum and Zoo. However, it was two days after Christmas and it was jammed in! Our 2 year old granddaughter enjoyed… running from one show to another. There were many hands on things for her to explore. The zoo was great too because she enjoyed the animals.

I brought my four year old here and spent a good 2 hours playing around. There were so many hands on the event inside and a tiny zoo outside. We loved that it was free and that it’s part of the city all enclosed so your child doesn’t leave. Best for 6 and under, but by far the best for about 2 – 4 years. If your kids aren’t in school yet, this is such a great place to take them.

This s city f lot – Rancho Palo This is the effort of the city of Palo Alto and Palo Alto does the job, with all their stay or learning amenities. I grew up in Palo Alto and am familiar with most if all. JR The museum is well made for small amenities. It’s right next to the amenities of the Community Center which has ncludes, tennis, play area and picnic area and the BB ‘Q area. I grew up in Palo Alto so I’m familiar with most if not all of the parks and rec amenities. The museum is well done or that’s the size. The museum is part of what is called the Community Center facilities. The room has a pool. Tennis courts, playgrounds, picnic tables, BB ‘Q area and community theater for games, etc.

We went to the zoo with our 14 year old son. There were rides and a carousel and an indoor playground. There were many practical activities inside. Outside there are small enclosed areas of peacocks, turtles and other small animals. Don’t plan to stay there for more than 2 hours. Great for kids aged 206.
