Family day care Dayton – what is the Sonas difference?

Where children’s play has no boundaries

At Sonas child care Dayton we are continuously reflecting upon our practices to ensure you and your children are receiving the highest quality care in line with our service philosophy, the National Quality Framework and research on current practice from recognised guidelines.

Sonas Learning Studios

Sonas Learning Studios underpins our approach and allows children to engage, explore, learn, and further develop their skills and abilities in open-ended learning environments.

Our ultimate aim is treasuring and protecting the childhood experiences of our most precious little ones.

Welcome to the Nest

This is where our littlest people will be.

As babies are developing some skills for the first time, having a safe space to do so is important. This is to ensure they are safe and are provided with all the care requirements that our babies need on a day-to-day basis.

The babies are still able to explore the other studios around the service to gain experience and engage with the older children, including sharing meals with our older children in our family room.

Children’s transition from the nest to the larger Sonas Family Group is ultimately dependent on each child’s social and emotional readiness as well as the achievement of key motor skills.

They graduate to the larger group only when they show signs of being developmentally ready for this move.

An indicative age is anywhere between 15 to 18 months, but could be earlier, or later, depending on each child’s journey.

Welcome to the ZEN

Who doesn’t need a space for R&R?

In the Zen studio children can come and engage in quiet play, exploring a range of independent experiences from puzzles, sand trays, reading and so much more.

The Zen studio will also be used as our sleep and rest space and incorporate yoga and mindfulness activities.

Welcome to the STEM Studio

This is where children will be discovering and learning through experiences that focus on science, technology, engineering, and mathematical concepts.

All experiences will be designed to cater to the needs, interests, and abilities of all children.

It is like our little version of Sci-Tech!!!

Welcome to the Arts Studio

The Arts studio is where children will be able to explore and develop their creative side through all types of the arts such as visual, dramatic, and expressive arts.

This is a space for your child to explore their inner actor, artist, singer and much more.

Welcome to the Garden

All children love being outdoors.

Our garden is not only space for children to engage in outdoor physical play but also includes elements of all other studios as we believe the outdoor environment adds another layer to learning.

Welcome to the Family Room

Like in any home the Family Room is like the heartbeat of it all.

This is where children will gather for meals, store their belongings and engage in our ‘Kids in the Kitchen’ program.

In the family room we encourage, teach, and facilitate children’s acquisition of their independence and self-help skills, fostering their confidence and self-esteem.

In this space we create opportunities for children to engage in meaningful mealtimes with children of all ages, learning important social skills and etiquette.

There are two lasting bequests we can give our children. One is roots. The other is wings.

There are no Russian films among the contenders for the Oscar – Latest news from Ufa and Bashkiria There are no Russian films among the contenders for the Oscar this year. The tape of the Russian director Fyodor Bondarchuk “9th company”, nominated for the award, did not even get into the preliminary shortlist of contenders for the Oscar.

By tradition, the honor to announce the list of contenders for the most prestigious award in the world of cinema is entrusted to the president of the Academy and one of the stars.

President Sid Gainis and actress Salma Hayek read the list of nominees at a press conference at the American Academy building on Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills this year. Gainis and Hayek announced the names of the nominees in 10 of 24 categories – five nominees in each. This year, the musical film “Dreamgirls” is the leader in the number of Oscar nominations. This tape claims eight golden figurines, but is not in the Best Film of the Year nomination. “Golden Globe” nominated for seven nominations, six involve the film “Queen” and “Pan’s Labyrinth”.

Movies of the year will feature Queen by Stephen Frears, Letters from Iwojima by Clint Eastwood, Little Miss Sunshine by Jonathan Dayton, The Departed by Martin Scorsese and Babylon by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu.

President Donald Trump and his wife Melania visited the city of Dayton, Ohio, where a 24-year-old shooter killed nine people a few days ago. In Dayton, Trump was met by groups of protesters, but there were also those on the streets who supported the president’s visit. Trump visited the city hospital, but did not stop at the scene of the shooting.

On the night of August 4-5, there were two cases of shooting in public places in the USA at once – in El Paso Texas and Dayton, Ohio. The first attack killed 22 people, the second – nine people. Shooting in El Paso, Texas is being investigated as an act of domestic terrorism. The Dayton shooter’s motives are not yet known. After the massacres, Trump came under fire for his anti-immigrant remarks. Many opponents of his statement, they believe, spur on the radicals.

First of all, Trump visited Dayton. The president’s convoy headed to the hospital, where Trump met with injured emergency workers who worked at the scene of the shooting, as well as with relatives of the victims.

A crowd of protesters gathered outside the hospital, calling on Trump to “do something” and “end the hate.” Before Trump left the hospital, protesters were barred from the exit by an ambulance, according to local media.

Presidential spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham tweeted short excerpts of Trump’s conversations with the victims. “God was watching you. I want you to know that we are with you to the end,” the president says.

Some of the protesters directly accuse Trump of supporting fascism. He himself denies this.

Protesters interviewed by the New York Times believe that Trump is indirectly responsible for the shooting. Trump’s statements “add fuel to the fire,” says Jim Maidwell, who took to the streets of Dayton. “He feeds on negativity, hatred and fear,” he says.

Near the end of the visit, the Dayton Police Department said that Trump would not stop at the scene of a shooting in the county Oregon. According to the New York Times, a large group of demonstrators gathered at this place.

Trump did not make any official statements following his visit to Dayton. He’s getting ready to fly to El Paso.

Allegations of support for extremism

Speaking to reporters before flying to Dayton, Trump denied allegations that his statements had led to an increase in racial anti-immigrant extremism in the United States. He said that his rhetoric does not greatly influence the mood in the country.

On the White House lawn before flying to Dayton, a reporter asked Trump if he thought his statements were fueling racial extremism.

Trump replied that he did not think that his rhetoric had such a strong impact on American society, and that his opponents criticized him for the sake of political points.

“I would be very concerned about the rise in popularity of any group with a hate ideology – I don’t like that. Whether it’s white supremacy or any other kind of supremacy, like antifa, any group with a hate ideology,” he added.

“It had nothing to do with Trump”

After two mass shootings in the United States in 24 hours, Trump came under fire.

Texas Senator Veronica Escobar and former state congressman Beto O’Rourke directly linked his policies to the rise of racial extremism in the country.

He himself insists that white supremacy is not the main problem in the US and not the only reason for the mass attacks. The Ohio shooter, he said, “was an anti-fascist fan, a fan of Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, it had nothing to do with Trump.”

In response to a question about tougher gun control laws, the president said it was too early to ban the sale of automatic rifles.

Dayton has been in mourning for the victims of the shooting for days now

“I can tell you there is no political request for this. But I will certainly raise the issue. There is a request, and a very strong one, for more stringent checks,” – said the President of the United States. Stronger scrutiny of gun buyers should be the main lawmakers’ response to the shooting, he said.

Following the shooting, opposition and commentators criticize Trump for making anti-immigrant and nationalist statements that many commentators believe are fueling white racial and anti-immigrant extremism.

Texas congresswoman Veronica Escobar said on Monday that she was offered to go to El Paso with Trump but declined.

“I asked to speak to him on the phone to tell him what I heard from my constituents, some of whom were the victims of the shooting on Saturday,” she tweeted.
