Q&A with Ms. Esther

Tell us about your experience working with young children?

I’ve always loved caring for children, but I really became interested in child care as a profession when I had my twin daughters. I placed them in a Family Child Care program when they were one, and I volunteered to help as much as possible. When they went to pre-K at a local child care center, I decided to get a full-time position at the same facility. Almost a decade later, I am still passionate about child care.
I just love working with kids, helping them learn, and watching them grow. It’s so rewarding. I think people often don’t realize how much children are capable of, so they don’t give kids the chances they deserve. I love giving kids the time to explore and realize their potential.
Even before I opened my program, people in my neighborhood would always come to me for advice about their children, like how to monitor television time or how to encourage kids to read. With my daughters and in my career, I’ve picked up a lot of tips and tricks, and I love to pass them along. It’s up to the parents to decide what works best for their family, but I love to share my own perspective whenever it might be helpful. I think when children succeed, we all benefit.

What are the key areas of focus at your daycare?

My main focus is to nurture the children in my program. We definitely have a schedule, and it’s very important to me that the children learn, but that isn’t possible if they don’t feel safe and secure. Sometimes the larger child care centers can be too much for kids, with lots of noise and constant activity. At Little Sunshine Home Daycare, we make sure that everyone feels comfortable.
Our days usually start with circle time, where we practice letters, songs, the alphabet, and counting—and those same lessons will come up in activities throughout the day. But some days, we start by dancing to let out energy. Just like adults, kids can get stressed and frustrated by busy mornings, and I’m always mindful of that. So we take time to just have fun, dance, and shake out those nerves.
It’s also important to me that parents feel comfortable and relaxed, which is why my program opens at 6:30 am. I’m a parent too, and I know how hectic mornings can be. I want parents to have plenty of time to bring their child to my program and still get to work on time. Our lives are busy, and I want to help make families’ mornings as stress-free as possible.

Can you tell us a bit about your home environment?

Our program is set up with lots of different opportunities for kids to explore. We have our main, open area for our daily circle time, and then there’s room for learning, play, and quiet time. We have spaces for arts and crafts, reading, studying the alphabet and numbers—we even have a little piano for practicing music and singing songs!
One of my favorite parts of our program is our learning wall, where we post the things we are focusing on that day. We review what’s on the wall during morning circle time, and then the kids can look at it throughout the day.
Of course, I also love that we have a huge backyard with lots of space for outdoor learning and play.

Here’s the inside scoop from other parents that have worked with Ms. Esther.

Michelle

Esther has cared for my daughter many times. One summer I had difficulty finding a camp to send her to because she is extremely shy and has difficulty adjusting to new situations. Esther has a unique way of making children feel at ease. I not only felt comfortable leaving her with Esther but my daughter actually looked forward to spending time at her home. Esther is not only caring but also makes education a high priority. She made sure to have a designated time for summer reading and writing each day which my daughter also enjoyed. Leaving your child with someone is never an easy decision but Esther’s joyful and caring personality makes that decision much easier.

I first met Esther when her twin daughters enrolled at my school. Esther was always stopping in to ask questions and we had many conversations about development and how kids learn and grow. The following year, Esther made it her mission to be with me in the classroom. She became an invaluable member of our staff and I was so impressed with her ability to meet each child’s unique needs. From our time together, I got to see Esther’s potential and urged her to start a career in early childhood education! I’m so happy she’s opening her own program, she works so hard and she’s all about providing a great environment for the kids.

Jennifer

Esther’s twins were students at my mother’s family child care program. I’ve always looked up to Esther because her daughter’s are so well spoken and considerate. Esther taught me the importance of building a strong foundation for learning with my own children, as those early years are so crucial for development! Today they’re children but tomorrow they’ll be adults. Esther gave me such great advice, I would not be the mom I am today without her help! She really understands that being invested and engaged are the most important parts of teaching young kids.

Valerie

Esther and I first met as coworkers and she later provided care for my daughter. She always has so much fun with the kids! I’m incredibly grateful to Esther for teaching my daughter how to better respect and get along with others. She’s such a good person and treats each child in her care as if they’re her own. I’m so excited that Esther is starting her own program and I’m hoping my son will be one of her first students!

Rates & Openings

Daycare rates depend on how old your child will be and what your schedule looks like. 5 days / week might get a slight discount, and infant rates are usually more than toddlers’. Finding a spot also depends on age and schedule because each daycare has a limited number of openings for each age range.

Let’s find a really good daycare for you

Get your own recommendations based on your preferences, daily routine, and what matters most to you.

Your family is unique to you, but some of your questions might not be. 😉 Here’s what most parents want to know when starting out.

What is NeighborSchools?

Hey there, nice to meet you 👋 We’re a new-ish startup that helps new-ish parents find daycare.

We know how hard finding good child care can be – especially for first-time parents. But really good care is what gives you the peace of mind to go back to work and feel confident that your child is getting the stimulation, socialization, and support they need to learn and grow.

So we created NeighborSchools to make this piece of parenthood a whole lot easier. We say “easier” because, let’s be honest, it’s still a big thing to figure out, but working together we can help you find some good options, understand the whole process, and choose a program you’ll feel really good about.

How’s it work?

Most first-time parents don’t know exactly what they’re looking for, so we created a simple survey that will ask you questions about your lifestyle, your daily routines, and your preferences for child care. We’ll then share 3 personalized recommendations that we think might be a good fit. We’ll also give you a timeline that maps out when we would suggest you start touring programs, choose a daycare, and pay a deposit to secure a spot. Your timeline is based on when you want to start care – so you set the pace, and you decide when you’ve found the right match.

Is there a cost?

Nope. Our daycare recommendation service is free for parents. The other half of our business is helping these small-scale daycares with software and services that handle all their administrative tasks, like online contracting, payment processing, and licensing requirements. Before NeighborSchools, services like these were only designed for large corporate child care centers, and part of our mission is to level the playing field for small, independent child care programs. That’s why we picked the name NeighborSchools – we’re all about making child care more personal, more human, and more equitable for the incredible individuals who do this work and care for our children.

How do I know if I’m ready to take the survey?

Generally, if you’re here, you’re ready. The survey lets us give you 3 recommendations to consider, but it’ll also help you better understand what factors to consider, and what questions to be asking right now. It’s simple things like where you live, your child’s date of birth, when you want to start care, and if you have any preferences around program philosophy or language of instruction. If you’re planning 6+ months ahead, it’s a great way to get started, and if you’re hoping to start daycare in the next 2-4 months, it’s definitely time to get started. Click here to start the survey.

How do I know if a daycare has openings?

Each program has a limited number of spots for each age range, so we need to know your schedule and child’s age before we can share availability. The survey covers these basics, as well as factors like drop-off and pick-up times to make sure that recommended programs fit your daily routine. Once we know your child’s age and schedule we can share rates and costs as well.

More questions? Text or email – we’re here to help.

We’re online Monday – Friday from 8am to 6pm Eastern.

Just Pet Me‘s daycare program is available 6AM to 8:30PM Monday through Friday to accommodate every parent’s work schedule. We’re even open weekends! From puppies to seniors, whether your canine companion is large or small, there is plenty of space at their finger tips. At Just Pet Me, your dog has frequent access to our dog- friendly backyard complete with real shrubbery, padded cement and artificial turf for potty time, as well as our expansive indoor play rooms.

We are uniquely designed to give your dog ample fun and exercise, combined with the security and familiarity of being in his or her backyard! Besides the abundant free play we offer our members for playing tag and mingling, we also provide structured group exercise every day that includes ball playing and brushing times. Our members develop incredible friendships with their canine peers and create their own groups that meet and play every visit!

PUPPIES

Our commitment to our members is reflected in our Puppy Program. We are passionate about not only the general care of your puppy, but also helping you raise your puppy to be a happy, mannered, life-long companion.

Our puppies receive the highest level of care from our detailed, friendly concierge team, following a curriculum that comprehends and considers that the first seventeen weeks are the most critical learning period. It is the time that your puppy needs to learn basic life skills such as potty training, confidence with nail trims and baths, as well as, social etiquette with other dogs and interactions with humans.

Though numerous puppy socialization and training classes exist, the sessions are short for puppy to learn and retain accomplishments. Just Pet Me, on the other hand, provides reinforcement of your puppy’s knowledge with consistency, enabling training to stay intact over the course of enrollment in continuous daycare.

Noisy neighbors and my path to silence For those who are reluctant to read to the end, the solution is the Sony WH-1000XM2 active noise canceling headphones.

This topic is very familiar and painful for the majority. An obvious and simple solution, as actually the first thing that is advised on most forums on this topic, is to go to an agreement with the neighbors. But as you know, we live in Russia, and not in some Finland or Sweden, where only for an unkind look you can get a fine for trying to insult. Our contingent, which, in my opinion, is a purely personal conviction, if they do not observe the well-known everyday rule – do not make noise after 11.00, they will understand only brute physical force or the awareness of its imminent threat. For most of those who have a “botanical” physique and are not a speaker of our mighty Russian, to which I belong, one has to look for other solutions. Here the choice is actually not rich. The first obvious solution would be to think about soundproofing your apartment. But almighty physics tells us that in order to somehow protect yourself from the structural noise of reinforced concrete structures (the noise of a hammer drill, for example), you need to build another one inside your apartment that would not come into contact with vibrating bases. In some old Soviet houses, they actually did this in the bathrooms, installing the so-called sanitary cabin, which simply stood on its feet inside a box of load-bearing walls. It is clear that such a decision is for itself, only for the “desperate”. It remains only to try to do something with their hearing organs. In general, here is my list of tried unsuccessful methods:

  • Call attempt. After the first visit, it became clear that in front of me was a typical “Yazhmat” for which the lichinus raging at one in the morning is a sacred act, which in no case should be torn away from.

  • Earplugs from plain to soft silicone. They do not work at all on low-frequency noises like stomping, and on all other sounds, since the reinforced concrete structures of buildings work as a low-pass filter, cutting off the high-frequency component.

  • Headphones with ear pads and an attempt to mask the noise by listening to music. As with the earplugs, ear pads also proved to be ineffective in combating the low-frequency component of the noise. I had to greatly increase the volume level, which made it even more uncomfortable.

Another option that I have not tried, but has almost matured to it – go to active combat by attaching the speaker to the ceiling or using an overhead emitter with ali. By the way, I chose the composition for this attack for a long time. The song “Bitch Neighbor” from S. Slepakov went very well.

But somehow digging through the forums during the next neighbor’s “attack” in an attempt to find at least some other options, I came across a topic where a person described the same problem as mine and a solution – headphones with active noise cancellation. After a test with simple headphones with ear pads, I was somehow skeptical about active noise cancellation, believing that since simple ear pads do not help, then where is the electronics. But at that moment I was on a corresponding emotional “upsurge”. And having scored on possible financial losses from an unsuccessful decision, I ordered, unfortunately, the already discontinued Sony WH-1000XM2 model. Why this particular model, because according to user reviews, the noise reduction function on this model was the most pumped. In the next releases of this model, again, judging by the reviews, for some reason they began to cut it.

In general, with an “optimistic” thought “Well, I’ll resell if it’s not, if only the seller doesn’t heat it up” (BU headphones) put them on with the noise reduction function I-i turned on, and ended up in silence. Well, not quite deadly, of course, masking white noise was heard. Let’s just say that I’m far from being an impressionable person, but for two days I was in complete euphoria from the feeling of finally getting rid of these “cute” neighbors with the push of a button.

So, a small review of the nuances for those who want to repeat my experience of using this device in this capacity. Headphones if you just turn them on and put them on turn off after five minutes. To prevent this from happening, you need to insert an extension cable into the 3.5” socket. You can’t connect it anywhere. I ran an additional audio extension cable under the 3.5” jacks from the TV. Another advantage of this solution, instead of using a connection via Bluetooth, is to turn off this very Bluetooth when a cable is connected to the 3.5 jack. Of course, I’m not a radiophobe, but somehow I’m not a fan of the presence of EMW emitters at close distances (apparently the consequences of working as a Radio engineer) The list of types of noise that I managed to overcome:

  • From the top floor: The clatter of a child aged 5-8. Female educative cry. Children’s screams and squeals. Table din.

  • Behind the wall (concrete monolithic wall, prefabricated house): playing the piano, buzzing of the soundtrack of the TV, jumping on the floor of a child of 8-10 years old (felt by the vibration of the sofa), slamming the entrance iron door with all the dope.

A particularly loud sound is certainly audible, but becomes muffled and, as it were, “distant”, like a cannonade if it is a clatter, for example. Against the background of masking white noise, there is no longer an all-pervading desire to start sorting out murder options in search of the most “attractive” one.

The sound from the TV is suppressed, according to my feelings, from normal volume to a whisper. The low-frequency component is better (male bass voice), the high-frequency component is worse (female voice, music)

on the edge of the pillow and putting your hand under it. It turns out a kind of compromise position of the head at 45 degrees approximately.

By the way, the headphones proved to be very effective in dealing with their own noises. For example, a working washing machine becomes completely inaudible, and the sound of a working robot vacuum cleaner against a straining background.

Thus, active noise cancellation, which works effectively on the low-frequency component of the audio range, has proven to be a very effective tool for dealing with noisy neighbors. Well, at least in my case, that’s for sure.
I will also say that this article is not a hidden advertisement for these headphones, especially since I recommend choosing a discontinued model.

If someone has a variant with the use of response acoustic influences was successful, please unsubscribe in the comments. The desire for revenge for an unsuccessful attempt at negotiations with the upper Yazhmother is still lingering. Moreover, headphones are now useful for the implementation of this option.

Poems about winter for children aged 5,6,7,8. Winter poems for school.

Winter has come, and with it fluffy snow, snowstorms, patterns on the windows, frosty air. The guys rejoice at the white flakes of snow, get skates and sleds from the far corners. Work is in full swing in the yard: they are building a snow fortress, an ice hill, and making a snowman. What could be more fun and joyful!

In this section of our site you will find a selection of poems about winter for children aged 5,6,7,8. From the whole variety of winter poems, we have collected those works that will appeal to children in the middle and older groups of kindergarten. These poems are suitable not only for reading on winter evenings, but also for memorization. When preparing for the matinee, be sure to read all the poems and you will definitely find one that the child wants to learn 🙂

Who will warm the sun?

It’s cold for everyone in winter,
They run to the house faster.
The sun remains.
Who will keep him warm?

It used to be warm,
We were happy with the sun.
And now they are admiring the
Snowfall Dance.

I’ll draw the sun
In my album,
And as if it will become
Lighter in the house.

I’ll write a note, —
I already know how:
Don’t be sad, sunshine!
I’ll keep you warm.

(L. Slutskaya)

Winter brightened up

Winter brightened up:

Fringe on the dress

From transparent ice floes,

Snowflake stars.

All in diamonds, pearls,

In multi -colored lights,

Pouns around the radiance,

whispers spell:

– Lyagte, soft snow,

on the forests and to meadows,

Trinching, Apil !

On the windows, Santa Claus,

Scatter crystal roses

Light visions,

Sly gossip.

You, blizzard, chudi,

Round dances of the backwater,

Soar with a whirlwind of white

In the gray field!

Sleep, my land, sleep,

Keep magical dreams:

Wait, dressed in brocade,

New dawn!

(M. Pozharova)

Winter night in the village

Cheerfully shines

A moon over the village;

White snow sparkles

Blue light.

Rays of the moon

God’s temple is poured over;

Cross under the clouds,

It burns like a candle.

Empty, lonely

Sleepy village;

Deep blizzards

Huts skidded.

Silent silence

In the empty streets,

And no barking is heard

Watchdogs. ..

(I. Nikitin)

more winter,

So that instead of high snowdrifts

Green hills all around.

I look into the glass

Green,

And immediately winter

Turns into summer.

(A. Barto)

Cautious snow

Midnight snow,

He is not in a hurry.

He walks slowly,

But he knows the snow,

What does it matter

He will fall somewhere.

And the slower he is

Chagall,

The more careful he was,

The softer into the darkness

fell

And we-

Didn’t wake us up.

White path, white.

Winter has come.

(V. Stepanov)

Winter

Winter has come.

I wear a white hat,

I breathe white air,

My eyelashes are white,

Coats and mittens, –

You can’t distinguish me in the cold

Among the whitening birches.

Zamru. And the squirrel in silence

Suddenly jumps into my arms.

(V. Stepanov)

Winter

Ponds are tied up until March,

But how warm the houses are!

It wraps gardens in snowdrifts

Winter is caring.

Snow falls from birch trees

In drowsy silence.

Paintings summer frost

Draws on the window.

(E. Rusakov)

Winter Winter

there, in the Khomozny region,

where the blizzard, snowstorms,

And in the sky Strazdny,

months in the cradle,

cities from the snow,

Blizzard and melancholy,

A princess lives in it,

Girl Winter.

In a fur coat made of snowflakes,

Slippers – crystal,

Handbag made of ice,

Sadness in the eyes.

Ice Kingdom —

Her home,

Pearls – wealth,

Worst enemy – heat!

Comes to visit

Reindeer,

Carries

Winter every day.

(L. Aleinikova)

Puppy and snow

Puppy looked at the first snow
And couldn’t understand anything.
– Why so many white flies
Crowded into our yard?

Or maybe it’s bird fluff
Flying over the fence?

Chews, chews, but that’s the trouble!
There is only water on the tongue.
The puppy was completely embarrassed
And lay back in the kennel.

He was not stupid, but simply small
And he saw snow for the first time…
(L. Dyakonov)

Herringbone

Through the snowdrifts, through the bushes
A white hare gallops.
There is no hole either here or there
What is a hare to do?

He is afraid of the hunter,
He is trembling all over with fear.
The hare jumps, the hare rushes,
The hare runs to the Christmas tree.

Hide me, herringbone,
Hurry up!
Hide me green.
Sorry!

And quickly covered
Christmas tree branches
Poor bunny
With long ears.

Only the tail is visible,
Well, it doesn’t matter:
The tail can be hidden
In the snow
Is always.
(D. Khorol, translated by M. Sidorenko)

December

In December, in December

All the trees are in silver.

Our river, as if in a fairy tale,

Frost paved during the night,

Updated skates, sledges,

Brought a Christmas tree from the forest.

The tree was crying at first

From home warmth.

In the morning she stopped crying,

Breathed, came to life.

Her needles tremble a little,

On the branches the fires lit up.

Like a ladder, a Christmas tree

Lights run up.
Flappers shine with gold.

He lit a star with silver

He who ran to the top of his head

The most daring light.

The year has passed like yesterday.

Above Moscow at this hour

The clock of the Kremlin tower strikes

Fireworks twelve times.

(S. Marshak)

January

Opening the calendar —
January begins.
In January, in January
Lots of snow in the yard.
Snow – on the roof, on the porch.
The sun in the blue sky.
Stoves are being heated in our house,
Smoke is rising into the sky in a column.
(S. Marshak)

January – the beginning of the year

January – the beginning of the year,
Its frost is strong.
All nature fell asleep.
Now it’s not time for thunderstorms.
Under the snow cover
The earth rests.
In the land big and small
All white fields.

(T. Kerste)

It happened in January

It happened in January
There was a Christmas tree on the mountain,
And near this Christmas tree
Evil wolves roamed.
Once upon a time,
Sometimes at night,
When it’s so quiet in the forest,
They meet a wolf under the mountain
A hare and a hare.

Who wants in the New Year
Fall into the clutches of a wolf!
Bunnies rushed forward
And jumped on the Christmas tree.

They pressed their ears,
They hung like toys.

Ten little bunnies
They hang on the Christmas tree and are silent.
Deceived the wolf.
It was in January –
He thought that on the mountain
Decorated Christmas tree.

(A. Barto)

January

Sheep doze, sows sleep,
huts doze, gardens doze.
In the sky – crow’s crosses,
In the field – hare footprints.
The rivers are chained, the lakes
cast silver.
Opening for the gaze
light forest above the hillock.
There the drifting snow roams,
There the wolves prowl and roam for meat food
.
And in a den under a pine tree
a bear sleeps and licks its paw.
A menacing howl of the wind is heard.
Children skiing
above his head.
( I. Brodsky)

February

The winds blow in February,
They howl loudly in the pipes.
Snake rushes along the ground
Light snow.
Rising, rushing into the distance
Aircraft links.
This celebrates the February
Army’s birth.

(S. Marshak)

February

Blizzards sweep in February,
It’s still winter in February,
But spring drops
I already dreamed of yesterday.
The sun was dreaming in the sky.
Dreamed of the first grass,
Dreamed of birds from the south,
Wind, and green foliage.
In the morning I run to the window
A winter miracle, everywhere.
Snow and blizzard are circling, circling
A white waltz on the ground,
But winter will soon give way
All rights will be given to spring,
In the meantime, snow and blizzard
Let them dance in silence.

( M. Gergaulova)

The first snow

The smell of winter cold

The fields and forests.

Light up in bright purple

Skies before sunset.

At night the storm raged,

And with the dawn to the village,

To the ponds, to the deserted garden

The first snow was carried.

And today over the wide

White tablecloth fields

We said goodbye to the belated

String of geese.

(I. Bunin)

Mom! look out the window

Mom! look out the window –
To know, yesterday it was not for nothing that the cat washed its nose:
There is no dirt, the whole yard is covered,
It has brightened, turned white –
It can be seen that there is frost.

Not prickly, light blue
Frost hanging on the branches –
Look at least you!
Like someone with a thorny
Fresh, white, puffy cotton wool
Removed all the bushes.

Now there will be no dispute:
For the sled, and uphill
It’s fun to run!
Really, Mom? You won’t refuse,
But you yourself will probably say:
“Well, hurry up and go for a walk!”

(A. Fet)

That year the autumn weather

From the novel “Eugene Onegin”

That year the autumn weather
Stood outside for a long time,
Waited for winter, waited for nature.
Snow fell only in January
On the third night. Waking up early,
Tatyana saw through the window
A whitewashed yard in the morning,
Curtains, roofs and a fence,
Light patterns on the glass,
Trees in winter silver,
Forty merry ones in the yard
And softly covered mountains
Winters with a brilliant carpet.
Everything is bright, everything is white around.

(A.S. Pushkin)

Winter!.. Peasant, triumphant…

From the novel “Eugene Onegin”

Winter!.. Peasant, triumphant,
Updates path on firewood;
His horse, smelling snow,
Trotting somehow;
Fluffy reins exploding,
A daring wagon flies;
The coachman is sitting on the box
In a sheepskin coat, in a red sash.
Here is a yard boy running,
Planting a bug into a sled ,
Transforming himself into a horse;
The scamp has already frozen his finger:
It hurts and it’s funny,

And his mother threatens him through the window…

(A.S.0059 All covered in snow.
Old grandmother
Looking out of the window.
For naughty grandchildren
Knee-deep snow.
Fun for the kids
Fast sled running…
Running, laughing,
Making a snowy house,
Loudly heard
Voices all around…
There will be a snow house
Playful game. ..
Fingers get cold –
It’s time to go home!
Tomorrow they will drink tea,
They look out the window –
The house has already melted,
It’s spring outside!

(A.Blok)

Tale on glass

Frost on the glass
Drawn a pattern,
Silver applied
White lush forest

Early in the morning
I’ll go to the window,
I’ll be in that forest
Listen to the silence.

Does it seem to me?
Or a dream?
I’m rushing along the ski track,
I hear the sound of pines.

Winding in the snow
Fresh fox trail,
Melting in the meadow
Pink dawn.

And it trembles in the darkness
White smoke of birches —
A fairy tale on glass
Drawn by Frost.

(T. Shorygina)

Snow and snow

Snow and snow. The whole hut was covered.
The snow is white all around knee-deep.
So frosty, light and white!
Only black, black walls…

And the breath comes out of the lips
Steam freezing in the air.
There is smoke coming out of the chimneys;
Here they are sitting in the window with a samovar;

Old grandfather sat at the table;
Out and the grandmother slipped down from the stove,
And all around the kids are laughing.

Hidden guys, looking,
How a cat plays with kittens…
Suddenly the guys of squeaky kittens
Threw them back into the basket…

Away from the house to the snowy expanse
They rolled on a sleigh.
The yard resounds with cries –
They made a giant out of snow!

Stick in the nose, eyeballs
And put on a shaggy hat.
And he stands, a childish thunderstorm, –
Here he will take it, here he will grab it in an armful!

And the guys are laughing, shouting,
Their Giant came out great!
And the old woman looks at her grandchildren,
Do not contradict childish temper.

(A. Blok)

In winter

— How much snow!

How much snow! —

The children screamed

And, taking the shovels and sleds.

She ran from the yard…

Their cheeks are alley dawns,

Their eyes are shining like a star.

And incessantly all at once

And they shout and talk.

Their ringing laughter is heard

It’s far away in frost…

That’s why I love children

Hot and deep.

Undernourished, underdrink,

But they saw the open space —

Faces lit up with happiness,

Eyes flashed with a clear sun.

(F. Shkulev)

Creak of steps along the white streets

Creak of steps along the white streets,
Lights in the distance;
On the walls of icy
Crystals are shining.

Hanging from the eyelashes into the eyes
Silver down,
Silence of the cold night
Takes the breath away.

The wind sleeps and everything goes numb,
If only to fall asleep;
Clear air itself becomes shy
To die in the cold.

(A.Fet)

In the morning

What is it? Early in the morning
I glance out the window:
Giants in white fur coats
Stand still.

And the new brocade shines
Their fluffy white fur…
Like a beaver’s hat,
Everyone’s heads are covered!

You can see the frost itself with winter

rolled up in a sled at night And covered the garden and yard with a fluffy shroud

Everything around was cheerful –
It became clean and light.
And the earth under a white fur coat
Sleep so sweet and warm!

(G.Galina)

Do you recognize winter?

There are deep snows all around,

Wherever I look,

A blizzard is sweeping and spinning.

Do you recognize winter?

The rivers fell asleep under the ice,

They froze motionless,

Snowdrifts are burning with silver.

Do you recognize winter?

We race down the mountain on skis,

The wind blows at our backs.

There is no more fun than that time!

Do you recognize winter?

We’ll bring thick spruce

Our favorite for the holiday,

We’ll hang beads on it.

Do you recognize winter?

(T. Shorygina)

Downhill

On frozen snow,

Running sled,

What a daring horse,

What is your free wind,

Above the open steppe,

They are rushing like an arrow.

They rush like an arrow,

They sing and laugh,

Everyone slides faster …

Suddenly – the sledge and sideways

In a deep snowdrift …

Welcome, friends!

(S. Frug)

Powder

Food. Quiet. Ringing is heard
Under the hoof in the snow.
Like gray crows
Shouted in the meadow.

Bewitched by the invisible,
The forest slumbers under the fairy tale of sleep,
Like a white scarf
A pine has tied up.

Bending down like an old woman,
Leaning on a stick,
And under the very top of her head
A woodpecker hammers at a branch.

A horse is galloping, there is a lot of space,
It is snowing and spreading a shawl.
Endless road
Runs away like a ribbon.

(S. Yesenin)

At the skating rink

The blue river rushed

In the emerald banks

And it rang and murmured,

Basking in the sun.

The crackling frost has arrived,

He breathed on the river,

Light blue trickles

Dragged with pale ice.

And the frost began to breathe

A sharp, burning chill —

The whole river was covered,

It was paved with blue ice.

And faster than a greyhound troika

Sledges fly over the ice,

They cut, they cut the mirror ice

Yes, their skids creak.

(S. Frug)

After a night snowstorm

Night snowstorms raged,
Forest paths were swept,
And the furry firs hummed,
And the angels did not have the strength
To bring starlight to the earth.

But the midnight forces are tired
Black clouds swirl in the sky,
And the trees stopped moaning,
And the angels had enough strength
To illuminate the forest with starlight.

And the trees in solemn formation
In front of the clear face of silence
Whitening with snowy peace,
Filled with light power
Ice and mute whiteness.

Whose azure eye is peeping there?
Like a clearing of stars – heaven.
In blue and deep silence
With his wondrous army of many wings
God walks through the night forests.

(I. Bunin)

Winter is coming…

Winter is coming
With skates and sledges,
With powdered ski tracks,
With a magical old fairy tale.
On a decorated Christmas tree
Lanterns swing.
Let the winter be cheerful
It doesn’t end longer!

(I. Chernitskaya)

Artist painting

Painting all night,
He worked conscientiously,
He did not know peace.
And now on the windows
Already turned white
Tall pines,
Fluffy firs.
Then we saw
There the firmament,
Where the stars are cheerful
They danced,
Snowflakes fluttered
One after another –
So frost
Decorated the windows in winter.
(A. Melnikov)

Christmas tree

A Christmas tree
was growing in the forest on the mountain.
She has needles
Silver in winter.

She has bumps on her bumps
Ice is knocking,
Snow coat
Lies on the shoulders.

Lived under the Christmas tree bunny
With his bunny.
A flock of
tap dancers flew in from the fields.

We came to the Christmas tree
And the wolves in winter…
We took the Christmas tree away
To our home.

Dressed up the Christmas tree
In a new outfit –
On thick needles
Sequins are burning.

(E. Trutneva)

White birch

White birch
Under my window
Covered with snow,
Like silver.

On fluffy branches
Snow border
Tassels blossomed
White fringe.

And the birch is standing
In sleepy silence,
And snowflakes are burning
In golden fire.

Dawn, lazily
Walking around,
Sprinkling branches
New silver.

(S. Yesenin)

Snow everywhere

Snow everywhere, houses in the snow —
Winter brought him.
Hurry to us as soon as possible,
Brought us bullfinches.

From dawn to dawn
Bullfinches praise winter.
Santa Claus, like a little one,
Dancing at the rubble.

I can dance like that in the snow too.

(A. Brodsky)

Snow book

Snow is like a white page.
What is written on it?
A fox came out of the forest…
A trail of a sleigh is visible nearby.

Leaving signs in the snow,
Two dogs ran.
Here – someone fell off the skis.
Here – the mouse was looking for grain.

Let’s read further lines:
Two magpies galloped here.
A sparrow jumped next…
The handwriting is smaller and weaker.

A squirrel was sitting on a pine tree
And throwing cones into the snow…
Tales from this White Book
I would have been reading for a whole century.

Only the light of heaven melts.
A snowy blizzard is leafing through…
It doesn’t matter.
We will read a new book tomorrow afternoon
!

(A.Usachev)

Snowflakes

A hedgehog looks at snowflakes.
“These,” he thinks, “are hedgehogs…
White, prickly.
And besides, they are flying.”

A spider on a cobweb
Also looking at snowflakes:
“Look how brave
Those flies are white!”

The hare looks at the snowflakes:
“These are hare fluffs…
It can be seen that the hare is all down –
He is scratching his fur coat upstairs.”

The boy looks at the snowflakes:
“Maybe it’s laughter?..”
He won’t understand why.
It’s very fun for him.

(A. Usachev)

Snowball

Snowball is fluttering, spinning,
It is white outside.
And the puddles
turned into cold glass.

Where the finches sang in summer,
Look today! –
Like pink apples,
Bullfinches on the branches.

Snowball cut by skis,
Like chalk, creaky and dry.
And the red cat catches
Cheerful white flies.

(N. Nekrasov)

Snow woman

We made a snow woman
to glory.
For glory, for glory,
For fun.
She looks at us in black
Looks with her eyes,
As if laughing
With two embers.
Although it costs
Our woman with a broom,
But let her not seem
evil to you.
A bucket instead of a hat
We put it on for her …
With a snowman
The game is more fun.

(A. Brodsky)

Winter at the edge of the forest

Near a small Christmas tree
Green needles.
Fragrant, fluffy,
Silvery from the snow!

On a cowardly bunny
A cone fell from the Christmas tree!
He runs along the path,
Flashes the tail and back.

A fox roams side by side
And he is proud of his tail.
On a high snowy slope
Elk with horns, as in a crown!

On green branches,
Bleached with frost
Like scarlet beads
Small bullfinches.

The edge is flooded with sun,
Squirrel, red-haired girlfriend,
Came to visit the Christmas tree,
Yes, she brought nuts.

(I. Gurina)

The first snow

On the trees, on the alleys
Snow flies whiter flour,
Light-light, clean-clean,
Soft, fragile and fluffy.
Squeeze snow in hand
And throw snowballs.
The first snow – light snow,
How happy it makes everyone.

(I. Melnichuk)

Winter

Ponds are tied up until March,
But how warm the houses are!
Gardens are wrapped in snowdrifts
Winter is caring.
Snow falls from birches
In drowsy silence.
Paintings summer frost
Draws on the window.

(E. Rusakov)

On the hill

Go around all the yards –
It’s better not to find the mountains.
Beware! Watch out!
Children rushing down
Standing, sitting, kneeling,
On cardboard and plywood.
Don’t yawn ahead,
Don’t get in the way!
Oh-hoo, see for yourself,
What a miracle this sleigh is:
We barely sat down,
And rushed off with a breeze!
In a straight line to the turn,
Someone was left behind . ..
We ran into a snowdrift:
Whoever arrived, on his side – bang!

(N. Gorodetskaya)

Zimushka-winter

Rushing in an ice carriage
Zimushka-winter,
Wind knocking with its wings
At sleepy houses.
Squares and parks are blooming
Snowy whiteness.
And frost builds arches
Above the forest path.

(T. Bokova)

We are snowflakes

We are snowflakes, we are fluffs,
We are not averse to spinning.
We are snowflakes – ballerinas,
We dance day and night.
Let’s stand together in a circle –
It turns out a snowball.
We have whitewashed the trees,
We covered the roofs with fluff.
They covered the earth with velvet
And saved it from the cold.

Birch

Standing birch
In a cape,
Ringing on the branches
Fringe.
The lighter,
The softest snowflakes –
The colder
It’s winter!

(Novitskaya)

Bullfinches

Run out as soon as possible
Look at the bullfinches.
Arrived, arrived,
Blizzards met the flock!

A Frost-Red Nose
He brought them mountain ash.
Sweetened well
Late winter evening
Bright scarlet clusters.

(A. Prokofiev)

Where do snowflakes come from?

Who knits snowflakes and throws them from the sky?
Even mother doesn’t know such patterns0059 Our city is all white, slightly blue.

Or maybe they are cut out of calico
And quietly lowered to my eyelashes?
They slowly melt with tears on their cheeks…
Where are the snowflakes from? Does anyone know?

Winter

Fluffy white snow
Spinning in the air
And quietly on the ground
Falling, laying down.

And in the morning with snow
The field turned white,
Like a veil
All clothed him.

Dark forest – what a hat
Covered up wonderful
And fell asleep under it
Strongly, unawakeningly…

God’s days are short,
The sun shines little,
The frosts have come –
And winter has come.

(I. Surikov)

On skis

The whole earth is covered in snow,
I’m running on skis,
You’re running after me.
Good in the forest in winter:

The sky is bright blue,
Spruces, pines in hoarfrost,
Snow sparkles underfoot.
Hey guys, who’s behind us?

(A. Vvedensky)

Snowflakes

Blizzard outside the window,
Darkness outside the window,
Looking at each other,
Sleeping in the snow at home.

And the snowflakes are spinning –
They don’t care about anything! —
In light dresses with lace,
With bare shoulders.

Teddy bear cub
Sleeps in his corner
And listens with half an ear
Blizzard outside the window.

Old, gray-haired,
With an ice stick,
A blizzard hobbles
Baba Yaga.

And the snowflakes are spinning –
They don’t care about anything! —
In light dresses with lace,
With bare shoulders.

Thin legs –
Soft boots,
White slipper –
Ringing heel.

(S. Kozlov)

Merry Snowflake

The wind sings a song
At the edge of the forest,
Calls me to dance
In a round dance to my girlfriends.

Wind, wind, blow harder,
To dance more merrily
Ice cup –
Little snowflake.

Enchantress in Winter…

Enchantress in Winter
Bewitched, the forest stands,
And under the snowy fringe,
Motionless, mute,
He shines with a wonderful life.

And he stands, bewitched,
Not a dead man and not alive –
Charmed by a magical dream,
All entangled, all bound
With a light downy chain … ,
He will flash all over and shine
With dazzling beauty.

(F. Tyutchev)

The first snow

In the morning the cat
brought
The first snow!
First snow!
It has
Taste and smell,
First snow!
First snow!
It’s spinning,
Light,
New,
Over the guys’ heads,
It managed to
A downy scarf
Spread it
On the pavement,
It turns white
Along the fence,
Crouched on the lantern –
9055, So very soon,
The sleigh will fly
From the hills,
So, it will be possible
Again
Build a fortress
In the yard!

(Y. Akim)

Snow and garden

Slowly
Walking through the garden
Under the inaudible
Snowfall
And guessing:
Is it the same garden
Did I pass

That one was gloomy,
Old and cramped,
This one was festive
And cheerful,
That one was black,
This one was gray
And
is a hundred years younger!

(I.Maznin)

A blizzard was blowing…

A blizzard was blowing,
Spruce bent
To the ground. With fright
The shutters creaked.

And snowflakes in the window
Moths beat,
Melt, and tears
Down the glass pour.

A complaint to someone
The wind sends something
And it rages fiercely:
Someone did not hear.

And a flock of snowflakes
Everything is knocking on the window
And with tears, melting,
Flowing down the glass.

(S. Yesenin)

Hoarfrost

Silvery over the trees
A veil spread —
Snow-white, fluffy,
Lacy beauty!

And the sad birch tree itself0059 Winter tree branches…

(G.
