Unusual kindergartens and schools

Architects designing kindergartens and schools proceed from the fact that such facilities must be functional, safe and environmentally friendly. The appearance of the building and its interior should stimulate the imagination, reduce stress and improve mood. In addition, for a small child, life is about play, so the kindergarten building should be well adapted for outdoor activities.

Today, architects are not afraid to experiment, which is why unusual schools appear – without classrooms, with playgrounds on the roof, with walls covered with grass.

For example, in Sweden there is an unusual school that does not have classrooms in the usual sense, that is, there are no separate rooms with even rows of tables and chairs. The room is visually divided into many zones for different purposes: for group and individual training, as well as for recreation. There is also a laboratory where practical classes are held. The lessons take place in an unusual environment, and this teaches children to make decisions in unexpected situations.

Another non-standard project was created for a school in the Spanish city of Torre Pacheco. It looks like a miniature golf course with extremely difficult terrain. The walls of the building are covered with artificial turf, which is used on sports fields.

The building is distinguished not only by the beauty of the interior, decorated in a minimalist style, but also by the originality of the materials used in the construction: the frame is completely covered with lawn grass, which does not require any special care. In addition, it protects the premises from overheating. This is especially important as temperatures in Torre Pacheco can reach 50°C in summer.

In the French commune of La Courneuve, not far from Paris, they built a school (it is also a kindergarten) with a bright orange interior. Such an optimistic design was not chosen by chance: the area was the epicenter of the war of the suburbs, and in 2004 two residential buildings were blown up here, on the site of which this school was built. But it’s not just the bright colors that draw attention. There is a playground on the roof of one of the school buildings used as a library, where children can play football or play some other sport.

Berlin’s Taka-Tuk Land Kindergarten is partly a playground too, with a façade that you can jump, slide and climb. The authors of the project, of course, took into account that children are very mobile. It is named after the fictional country Taka-Tuka from the tale of Pippi Longstocking.

Children participated in the design of the building, they expressed their wishes, and the architects, together with the builders, made them a reality. The interior is dominated by yellow, which should be reminiscent of lemonade rivers from the work of Astrid Lindgren. A kind of architectural culmination is the “lemonade island”, a place where children seem to be taller than adults.

Younger children are just learning to recognize and name colors, so the rooms and exterior walls of kindergartens are often painted with bright, warm colors.

For example, in the Swiss city of Monte, a building was built with a facade of vertical multi-colored boards – pink, orange, red and green. The two-story kindergarten, which accommodates approximately 180 children, includes six rooms. Each room is painted in a different color – purple, pink, green, yellow, blue and orange.

A similar idea came to the creators of the Kekech kindergarten project in Ljubljana (Slovenia). The facade consists of vertical boards that rotate around their axis. They have a wooden texture on the inside and are painted in nine different bright colors on the outside.

Such window shutters are not only natural protection from the sun, but also an incomparable toy for children who like to change the look of the kindergarten with a wave of their hand. The building is a prefabricated structure, so it was built in just three days. All furniture is made of wood.

There are properties that are a marvel of design in densely populated areas. For example, in Paris, in a tight gap between high-rise residential buildings, the Picard kindergarten was squeezed in. The building spins around itself like a snail. The facade is decorated in the form of bright windows-doors.

One can only guess what kindergartens and schools of the future will look like. Perhaps their height will exceed the standard 2-3 floors, and they will be equipped with the latest technology, but the basic principles of construction of such buildings will remain unchanged: functionality, simplicity, convenience and pleasant design.

Gunners’ nightmare without end: Manchester City crush Arsenal by beating them for the 9th consecutive time in the Premier League

finished

In the central match of the third round of the Premier League, Manchester City hosted London’s Arsenal at the Etihad.

Game sheet

In the first two rounds, Man City and Arsenal suffered three defeats out of four possible for two. Naturally, the Gunners lost twice, having received 0:2 from Brentford and Chelsea. The Mancunian club, in turn, first suffered from Tottenham, but then dealt with Norwich. In the face-to-face meeting between MS and Arsenal, favoritism was one hundred percent on the side of the Sky Blues, who are generally much more powerful than the Red-Whites, and in personal meetings in the championship they beat them eight times in a row.

The hosts did not shelve the matter and opened the scoring in the eighth minute. Jesus caught a throw on the right flank, bounced back with Silva and hung on the far post, where Gundogan pushed through Chambers, struck with his head, and the ball from Leno’s hand went into the net (1:0). Soon Gundogan hit the “second floor” on the pitch from the left side, being already near the other post – this time Leno saved the “gunners”. But if Gundogan didn’t score for the second time, then Ferran Torres scored for the first time. Mankunians played a free kick in depth, Silva pierced the Londoners’ defense with a low diagonal, and Jesus easily closed the left post (2:0). Interestingly, at the beginning of the episode, Laporte shrugged off Chambers, pushing him in the face with his hand, but the VAR said that this was a clean goal.

Only City itself could have given Arsenals a chance. Ederson showed such generosity. The Citizens goalkeeper decided to play with fate and, right near his goal, knocked the ball into Smith Row. The hosts were lucky that the ball bounced off the guest player not on target, but next to the post. However, that was an isolated case of danger at the gates of the Mancunians. About ten minutes before the end of the half, Arsenal began to crumble not only in terms of play, but also in the literal sense: it was left with ten men, since Xhaka, who rolled under Cansela, received a direct red. Before the break, the “gunners” were punished by another goal by Jesus, who easily sent a cross from Grealish into the net (3:0).
