Home Away From Home

16553 Spangler Rd, Plainfield, IL 60586

Costimate: $205/wk

Description:

Hi! I am a stay at home mom who offers care to a couple of children in addition to my own 3 year old daughter. I believe whole heartedly in the individual attention and comfort that being in a home environmentprovides. Our days are spent learning through play, reading, pretend, creating and exploring our world outdoors. This is not a pulsating day care center that is constantly loud and going, going 24/7. This is a home. We also enjoy some down time to snack, relax and nap.
I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old. I have always had a natural rapport with children. I have never met a child that doesn’t respond to me. I really understand kids and make it my business to make sure they know they are loved, understood and appreciated for being uniquely, wonderful Them! I have been a mother for 19 years. I am also a former teacher at a Mommy & Me program where you learn through play and music. I was a very popular teacher there whose classes filled up immediately. I believe that young children learn through having fun and enjoying their environment. I am always signing, reading, and just plain fun. I give all children in my care plenty of eye contact, one on one attention, hugs and love.
I serve lots of fresh fruit and healthy, kid friendly meals. My home is very safe and chock full of games, dolls, trucks, make believe dress up, books, and fun! We love to be outdoors. I have a swing set, sandbox, water table, chalk, bubbles, sprinklers, ride on toys and a park around the corner. My backyard is totally fenced as well.
I am a very warm, loving, patient woman who will be a friend not just an employee. I like for families to feel a part of our family and home. If I am caring for your heart and soul all day, you should absolutely feel welcomed and able to come on in, anytime you please. If you would like to talk further with me or have some questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! I am always hopeful to build relationships that are mutually beneficial. Thanks for learning about me….

Description:

In 2015, Jennifer Brosnahan and Stepping Stones School-Age & Youth Program merged with Kera Lewis and Mother Little Helper Daycare and Group Home to form MLH Early Education Foundation. Our businesses mergedand created a structural foundation to include the whole child. Since Jennifer and Kera blended their original programs into one, the results are complimentary to each individual child and their unique family structure. Jennifer’s philosophy of teaching encourages youngsters to build their self-esteem and independence by giving them ownership over their time spent in the program. She runs a democracy, giving children appropriate options and allowing children to expand on their interests through project-based learning. The youth enrolled are given responsibilities and are accountable for their actions within the program and at home, developing them into leaders within the group. Jennifer’s favorite subjects revolve around natural science, open-ended art, and English. Kera’s philosophy of teaching focuses on the cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development of each child. With the creative use of basic American Sign Language (ASL) and Spanish, Creative Curriculum, Ages & Stages assessment tool, and manipulatives (i. e. Lego bricks, puzzles, foam letters, numbers, and shapes, etc.), the children retain information for basic learning and use what is taught to progress into elementary school. The children are given opportunities to work together and solve problems, and are encouraged to try new things, establishing a sense of teamwork and building self-confidence as they develop their social skills and physical development….

About Your Child – Enrollment formChild Application Form

Hi, My name is Ellise Boyd-Johnson. I am a wife and mother of 3 young adult children of my own. I have worked in the childcare field since 1994 as a preschool teacher for a large corporate daycare. I was promoted to Center
Director in 2001. I continued to serve families for the next 15 years before opening Anointed Child Care Academy! I currently have a Bachelor Degree in Social Work and a Masters in Education with specialization in Early
Childhood. I am dedicated to providing a safe and fun learning environment for every child enrolled. I would love for you and your family to become a part of our Christian Facility!

Hi, I am Juanita Stevenson. I am the Center Director here at Anointed Child Care Academy. I have lived in Joliet with my husband and six children for over twenty years. I have worked in many centers around Joliet in that time. I have done every job that there is in childcare from cooking, to driving, to working as a teacher with every age group. I have dedicated my life’s purpose to helping to shape the lives of under privileged children

Hi, I am Isaiah Davis. I work as the E-Learning teacher here at Anointed Child Care Academy. I also work as a cook and teacher’s aide when needed. I have lived in Joliet most of my life and graduated from Joliet Central High School. I love playing video games and jogging around Joliet.

Hi, my name Tiffany Williamson and I am the Preschool Teacher here at Anointed Childcare Academy. I have been doing Childcare since 2010. I have a love and passion for teaching and working with children even since an early age. I have worked five years at a daycare facility until they closed down. I started out as ECE level 1 credential as a floater. After taking a few Child Care classes, I started to work with infants as a teacher’s assistant, then as a two-year-old teacher leading to me becoming the Pre-k teacher. In my free time I love baking, playing on my keyboard and shopping for supplies. I previously worked 2 1/2 years here at Anointed Child Care as the pre-k teacher, then I took a little time off to get my degree in Health Science and now I’m returning for as a preschool teacher. I am currently taking more courses directed towards Childcare because its always good to learn new things and strategies both from educators and the children.

Hello everyone, my name is Nailah and I’m the Floater Assistant Teacher and also the owners daughter! I have been working here for 3 years and it’s a perfect place for me to get experience while I go back to school! I love creating learning games for the children and story time! In my free time, I like to write poems and draw!

Hi My name is Marie Breeden, I joined Anointed Childcare with many years of experience
in childcare as well as being a Sunday school teacher for 18 years at my Church! My own
children are all adults now so I Iove spreading my nurturing and advice to my grandchildren.
I love working with the babies here at Anointed Childcare.

I am Jarita Cook, and I am the single mom of two adult sons and the proud dog mom of a beautiful
Labrador Retriever. I also have a daughter-in-law and a wonderful grandson. I am a veteran of the United
States Navy. I have been a Nurse since 2006. I professionally work as a Labor and Delivery Nurse, which
I absolutely love, but I enjoy my responsibilities to Anointed Childcare. I am currently pursuing my
Master’s in Nursing Education. I am a huge Chicago Bears football fan, a shopaholic, and I love to travel.

Hello my name is Ariana Dominguez, I have been married for 9 years and love being a mother to my 5 wonderful children. Since I was in high school I knew I wanted to work with children, I am currently going to school to get my Associates Degree in ECE and afterwards continue my education with the help and support of my family. I am an assistant teacher at Anointed Child Care Academy. I love working with toddlers, but also love caring for all the infants that are enrolled. In my free time I like to spend time with my family. We like taking the kids to the zoo, and the park. I also like to bake, watch movies and make crafts. I also like to make time for date night with my husband. I am very happy to join this team and ready to learn along with all the children. I am ready to help the children learn and grow in any way possible.

Hi, My name is Antaneice Brown and I am an assistant Teacher at Anointed! I also work as a Ballet dance Instructor for children part-time.

Hello parents,
My name is Alexis Smith and I will be your babies new lead teacher. I myself am a mother of 2;
MaKyenna who’s 8 and Xzavier who will soon be 3. I started my career with children early by
babysitting at the young age of 7. From there I took off and knew I wanted to advance in
childcare. It began at Joliet Central where I started my classes with parenting and childcare. I
then graduated high school and began my undergraduate career in 2010. I furthered my
education at an HBCU college in Frankfort, Kentucky at Kentucky State University. There I was
a declared major in education studying Child Development and Family Relations. Because of
my passion for infants and teaching, I didn’t stop there. While at Kentucky State University, I
began mentoring children in elementary school through high school in which I also enjoyed. For
me it was truly a learning experience which also helped me to know my niche and purpose.
Needlessly to say no matter what endeavor I’ve sought after I’ve always come back to teaching
infants and I wouldn’t change it.

manor
from 165.3 sq.m. Kindergartens help parents in this matter, in particular, the Belochka kindergarten is of particular importance for the residents of the village of Kurumoch and nearby settlements. This institution has two buildings. The first is located at: st. Zhigulevskaya, d. 1 A, the second – Lenin Ave., 10.

Both divisions are located in the center of Kurumoch, away from the main streets and enterprises, in an ecologically clean area, which is important for the safety and health of children. Working hours of kindergartens: from 7.00 to 19.00 on weekdays. Saturday, Sunday and public holidays are days off. Both buildings are ready to receive 12 groups. The total occupancy is more than 340 children aged 1.5 to 7 years.

The institution has four meals a day, according to the established regime. At the same time, for every 10 days, the menu is separately approved in accordance with the age category of the children. The daily diet includes: dairy products, meat and fish dishes, eggs. These foods are essential for the proper growth of children. Also, as part of the prevention of iodine deficiency, only iodized salt is used in food.

Kindergarten provides many fundamental foundations for the further development of children: it is socialization, the formation of a positive attitude towards work, the development of cognitive interests, the formation of the foundations of security, mastering the means of communication, art, music and reading.

Thanks to the competent work of educators and teachers, many students of the Belochka kindergarten are prize-winners and winners of district, regional and all-Russian competitions: “The First Spring Festival”, “Dedication to the Defenders of the Fatherland”, “Oh, you are a wide carnival”, “ Winter visiting a fairy tale”, “Forward to the stars”, “Rising Star”, etc.

Against the backdrop of general development programs, the kindergarten works in two priority areas:

  1. physical culture and sports;
  2. artistic and aesthetic.

Within the framework of the first direction, the section “Young Basketball Player” successfully operates in the kindergarten, in which more than 30 children are involved. The tasks of physical education are carried out in the constant interaction of pedagogical and medical personnel. As part of the second direction, the guys attend the circle “Colored Hands”, “Crazy Hands” and “Rainbow”. These sections are attended by more than 280 children.

Regularly carried out:

– morning exercises;

– measures to harden the body (walking on massage mats, water and air procedures)

– music and rhythm classes;

– outdoor games during walks;

– gymnastics after sleep;

– finger gymnastics;

– point massage.

Entertaining holidays are regularly held in the kindergarten. On March 8 and February 23, the children happily prepare gifts for their beloved parents. On New Year’s Eve, Santa Claus visits the kindergarten with sweet treats. Do not remain without festive concerts and all other memorable dates. For example, on September 1, a sports festival dedicated to the Day of Knowledge was held in kindergarten. The Queen of Knowledge and Baba Yaga came to visit the children. Fun and provocatively passed the competition between the two teams “Toons” and “Kuklyashki”. Friendship won! And how solemn and entertaining graduation parties are! The guys sing songs and show entertaining creative numbers. Much attention is paid to sports days and patriotic holidays.

In the spring, the guys make their own effigy of Maslenitsa and spend a fun holiday of seeing off Winter. Students regularly visit museums and also organize historical exhibitions.

Many activities in the kindergarten have already become a tradition. Moving “Health Days” are regularly held with invited guests: Gryaznulkin and the Fairy of Purity.

Tea parties with the participation of children and parents. Thematic weeks on the rules of the road and a healthy lifestyle.

As well as thematic exhibitions. For example, autumn nature allows you to make unusual crafts.

Children enjoy visiting local natural sites. For example, children of the senior preparatory group go hiking to the Kurumka River every summer. Here the children admire the beauties of their native nature, play funny games, sing songs and guess riddles.

The territory of the kindergarten, which is beautifully landscaped with trees, shrubs, lawns and flower beds, also contributes to the comprehensive development of children. Each group has its own area, where gazebos, sandboxes, playground equipment, sheds, etc. are located.

Groups are equipped with functional furniture, as well as educational and play equipment, in accordance with the age category of children. The kindergarten has all the necessary technical equipment: computers, scanners, filmoscopes, tape recorders, TVs, music centers, karaoke. In addition to the groups themselves, each building is equipped with rooms for group classes, a music and sports hall, and a medical unit.

I would like to pay special attention to the teaching staff of the kindergarten. A greater number of employees have higher and secondary specialized education with more than 10 years of work experience and qualification category I. Moreover, many employees have differences:

  • badge “Honorary Worker of General Education of the Russian Federation” – 1 person
  • Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation – 4 people

It should also be noted that 18 people work in the preschool educational institution, awarded:

  • Diploma of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Samara Region – 1 person
  • Honorary Diploma of the Administration of the municipal district Volzhsky – 1 person
  • Diplomas of the Samara regional organization of the trade union of workers of public education and science of the Russian Federation – 4 people
  • Best Manager 2009 – 1 person
  • Diploma of the Volga Region Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Samara Region – 1 person
  • Honorary Diplomas of the head of the rural settlement of the village of Kurumoch – 4 people.
  • Diplomas of the Samara Provincial Duma – 6 people.

Kindergarten operates in close cooperation with the secondary school named after. A.I. Kuznetsov, a children’s clinic, a recreation center “Zhiguli”, a children’s art school and a play center for early development “Little Genius”. After students graduate, preschool specialists keep in touch with primary school teachers. Which, in turn, note in children a high level of educational activity and a great potential for intellectual and organizational abilities. Most of the children, after graduating from kindergarten, study “excellent” and “good”.
