Experts put forward versions of the train crash in the Moscow metro

Rescue operation in the Moscow metro, where more than 20 people died as a result of a train accident, went into the investigation of the incident. While the investigators are not in a hurry to draw conclusions and put forward cautious versions – a malfunction of the canvas, power surges, a broken arrow. Gazeta.Ru examined all the most popular versions expressed by experts, bloggers and officials.

    Rail defects and strange vibrations

As early as July 13, , the Moscow Metro drivers were discussing in social networks the introduction of speed limits on the neighboring section of the track due to the poor condition of the rails.

“It seemed that a speed limit was introduced along the 2nd track on the section of the Park Pobedy – Kyiv section closer to Kievskaya, what could be the reason for this?” – the driver under the nickname flahorn writes on the Our Transport forum.

“Introduced on the 1st and 2nd 60 km/h, the rails are in poor condition,” another user answers him.

“Is that why the bogies of the trains on this section rattled so much? And what, the rails are going to change? Or was the restriction introduced in order to replace it gradually, since the site is rather big”? – Communicate forum users.

In addition, about two weeks ago, a Muscovite Sergey Molostov applied to the metropolitan metro with a complaint about the strong vibration of the train running between the stations “Park Pobedy” and “Slavyansky Boulevard”.

“An avalanche of defects began to arrive for the assembly of cars”

The science department of Gazeta.Ru investigated the versions of the accident in the Moscow metro and found out how. ..

    15 July 20:38

As it soon became clear, other Muscovites addressed the subway with similar questions.

In response to a request, the track service of the State Unitary Enterprise “Moscow Metro” replied that the track was maintained in accordance with technical standards and tolerances, no deviations in the maintenance of joints were identified, the dimensions of the joint gaps corresponded to technical standards.

The Metropolitan specified that during the construction of new sections and the reconstruction of existing subway lines, the track service is working on the introduction of vibration-damping structures of the track superstructure.

Similar questions are regularly asked by the management of the State Unitary Enterprise Society for the Protection of Consumer Rights. On their website, they reacted to the disaster, recalling the numerous complaints about the quality of the subway.

“OZPP has repeatedly urged the public to pay attention to the problems of the metropolitan subway, that the metro needs reconstruction and improvement, but human rights activists are still not heard,” they write in the OZPP.

    Explosive work

The basis for talking about another version of the accident was a document that appeared on the net in connection with the disaster. This is a briefing for drivers, issued by the Izmailovo electric depot, dated June 11, 2014.

“It is brought to the attention of the locomotive crews that, in accordance with the construction plan on the section “Victory Park” – “Business Center”, near the II main (operating) running track of the Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya line, blasting will be carried out around the clock, – it says.

The document mentions the possibility of emergency situations arising in connection with the repair work.

“The locomotive crews working on the 93rd route should keep calm and order.

In the event of an emergency situation that threatens traffic safety (the occurrence of shocks in motion, deterioration of visibility due to increased dust, etc.), you should report to the train dispatcher and act on his instructions, ”it follows from the briefing.

The fact that repair work is being carried out next to the stage could be seen with one’s own eyes today, when photos of passengers evacuating from the tunnels began to appear on the net. They show that people in places pass next to the scaffolding.

Failure of the switch on the tracks

“There is a version that the cause of the tragedy was the failure of the switch on the tracks. The arrow did not have time to get into the right position when there was a power surge on the contact rail, and the driver crashed into it without having time to completely stop the train, ”the driver Valery Sobachkin, deputy chairman of the trade union of metro workers, told Gazeta.Ru.

According to some reports, a dead-end branch arrow recently appeared on the ill-fated section, which was supposed to direct the trains to the sump, ending in a dead end. According to one version, the disaster could have occurred due to a malfunction of the switch, which sent the train with passengers to a dead end.

Emergency braking due to power surge

    Voltage station

A serious accident occurred on the morning of Tuesday, July 15, on the blue line of the metropolitan metro. Because of the spike…

    July 17 18:42

Viktor Biryukov, head of the press service of the EMERCOM of Russia for Moscow, told reporters that the reason for the derailment of three cars on the blue metro line was the emergency braking of the train after a false alarm caused by a power surge.

However, the machinists have already criticized this version.

“Any emergency braking (automated or applied by the driver) is a calculated braking after which the train remains on the track.

Emergency is used when a person falls on the track, count how many people fell on the track in a month, in each case it was used, but the trains did not go off the rails, ”Moscow metro driver Yevgeny Pervolotsky told Gazeta.Ru.

    Defective wagon

One of the causes of the accident on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line of the Moscow metro could be mechanical damage to the attachment point of the wheeled bogie with the train car. “The accident most likely occurred due to mechanical damage in the attachment of the wheeled bogie to the car body,” Interfax quoted the source as saying. “Perhaps there was a defect in this mount.” It was noted that after the separation of the bogie, the cars went beyond the dimensions of the tunnel and crashed into the tubing several times.

Metro accident: 21 dead and 50 seriously injured

Developments in connection with the accident in the Moscow Metro: Gazeta.Ru conducted an online broadcast…

    July 17 18:40

About how in 2013 the Metrovagonmash plant dealt with marriage in the Rusich trains – namely, this train had an accident on Tuesday – Vyacheslav Babochkin, a former assembly fitter of the plant, told Gazeta.Ru.

“Personally, I found a defect in the assembly of the brake system – a compressed air distribution tee for the brakes. The hooks with which the brake line is suspended from the frame turned out to be defective. The head of the workshop did not pay attention, the director of economic security did not pay attention either. As a result, when these hooks are tightened to the frame, a microcrack may occur in them,” the worker said. In this case, the crack may not be detected by the worker, and as a result of operation, the hook may come off at any time. “The line will sag, begin to vibrate, the line will break and compressed air will be released,” the locksmith said.

    Speed detection error

“This station is not equipped with RVS traffic lights (a radio station that transmits speed and other data for the driver. – Gazeta.Ru). Everything on the booth is displayed – at what speed you can go.

Maybe these frequencies were lost on the console, and the driver caught up with another empty train. This version should be checked by the investigators, ”said the deputy chairman of the trade union of metro workers, machinist Valery Sobachkin.

    Open seals

“The drivers say that the hermetic gates could well have been ajar (hermetic doors are special gates whose task is not to let water, air, radioactive dust pass through. They are installed in front of and after escalators, as well as in tunnels. to prevent flooding of stations and tunnels in the event of a quicksand break or flood. – “Gazeta.Ru”), – the deputy chairman of the trade union of metro workers, machinist Valery Sobachkin, shared his version of what happened with Gazeta.Ru.

Mechanism Molnija ChK-6 Ch2Z conversion into a wrist watch | Watch blog

    By

    10/22/2017

I bought a non-working pocket watch Molniya, produced by the second Moscow Watch Factory (Ch2Z). The watch is in very poor external condition, the hands are missing, the balance is missing and one screw is broken. But this is not important for me, as I purchased them specifically to convert these watches into wristwatches.

Watches with wide Geneva waves produced from 1950 years. Earlier mechanisms were with narrow waves.

As far as I know, the movement was copied (Licensed) from Cortebert.

    Specifications:

    • Diameter 36mm
    • Height 3. 5mm
    • 15 Stones (central brass bearing)
    • Balance frequency 18,000
    • Power reserve 36 hours
    • Hands: Hour 1.88 Minute 0.98 Second 0.25 mm

The movement is stamped “Ch2Z”, the year and quarter of issue. The font is different from the one used on CCHZ. The slots on the screws are slightly different.

In the photo above, I have already removed the balance bridge and replaced the anchor fork, I did it just for fitting, I used the anchor fork from CCHZ. From what I understand, all parts are interchangeable.

Remontoire, completely the same as that of CCHZ, which is not surprising. Interestingly, the dial was fixed using glue. The photo shows a lot of dried grease.

There are slight signs of corrosion on the mechanism and screws.

The green arrow indicates a broken screw head that will have to be unscrewed. The red arrow indicates the anchor fork bridge, the unusualness of this bridge is that it has chamfers, the mechanisms of the Chelyabinsk plant have an anchor fork bridge that is not so beautiful.

I will note one more thing, the clearance of the crown wheel is minimal, which looks more aesthetically pleasing.

A broken screw came out with a bang.

Angrenage is absolutely typical. It seems to me that the processing of bridges is better than that of CCHZ. The mechanism is heavily soiled and therefore it is completely disassembled and sent for “cleaning”.

    Parts after washing.

A clean and lubricated mechanism is assembled in reverse order.

It was possible to remove traces of glue and old grease.

Installed and adjusted a new balance and screw from the “donor”.

    Installing a custom dial.

Installing the mechanism in a new case.

    End result.

In a post about the movement 3602, I emphasized that the movement is well suited for marriage (conversion of pocket watches into wristwatches). Tk is small in size, simple and easy to maintain, and a separate button is not needed to change the time (remontura device, as on classic “wrist” movements), which greatly facilitates the installation of the mechanism in a custom case.
