To become a teacher, a bachelor’s degree is the minimum requirement, however if you wish to advance your career or specialize in a certain area like special education, a master’s degree in education would also be required.

6. Speech-language pathologist

To become a speech-language pathologist, you’ll need at least a master’s degree followed by a clinical fellowship. The village of Malta is located in a picturesque place in the Usolsky district. The White River divided Malta into two parts. The name “Malta” means “Bird Cherry Place” – there were large thickets of bird cherry along the banks of the river. This year the village celebrated its 347th anniversary. The village of Malta is known all over the world, because on the left bank the site of an ancient man was discovered, where they found the bones of mammoths, decorations of people who lived in these places 25 thousand years ago. Malta is also famous for its mineral water and therapeutic mud.

In such a wonderful place, the heroine of our story, Oksana Vladimirovna Kalashnikova, was born. After receiving a professional education, she returned to her native village in 1990 to start her career as a music teacher in a comprehensive school.

And the creative life began to boil in the rural house of culture “Chaika” and the kindergarten “Solnyshko”, where the young specialist worked at the same time. He teaches children to sing, draws up thematic scenarios for events, holds calendar holidays, shares his experience with colleagues from kindergartens and schools in the Usolsky district.

Residents of Malta remember the Street Festival. The whole village sang and danced. People walked in a festive procession, presenting their “hospitable”, “dairy”, “honey” and “flower” yards, dedicating poems and hymns to their small Motherland.

In 1996, Oksana Kalashnikova was hired as a teacher of the music department at the Children’s Art School in Belorechensky. During her work at the school of arts, Oksana Vladimirovna proved herself to be a competent specialist with deep professional knowledge and skills. Exemplary folklore ensemble “Belorechenka” – this page is the most important in the creative life of a teacher!

Belorechenka Folklore Ensemble was created in September 2003 from 9 art school students. The organizer and leader was O. Kalashnikova, a teacher of the highest qualification category, a pupil of choral groups of the House of Children’s Art in the city of Usolye-Sibirskoye, the Irkutsk Music and Pedagogical College, the Irkutsk State Pedagogical University and the Regional School of Folklore. Today in the ensemble “Belorechenka” there are two compositions – junior and senior. Members of the ensemble perform works of 2 and 3 voices with soloists, a capella, accompanied by the button accordion, the school Ensemble of Russian Folk Instruments.

When choosing a song repertoire, the teacher uses the folklore of the Irkutsk region, folk songs and games of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and other regions.

The folklore ensemble and its soloists are the most active participants in many and many activities of the school, Belorechensky village, Usolsky district and the Angarsk zonal methodological association.

One of the graduates of the ensemble Anya Nikitenko in 2006 became the winner of the regional radio competition “Baikal Star” in the nomination “Song”, and was awarded a ticket to Bulgaria. Also, Anya’s name was included in the IV edition of the Encyclopedia of Moscow “Gifted children – the future of Russia” in 2009year.

In 2007, the Belorechenka Ensemble was invited as a participant in the master class “Folk Singing and Children”, which was conducted by the famous Pyotr Alekseevich Sorokin (specialist in the Department of Musical Art of the State Russian House of Folk Art, Moscow) on the basis of one of the art schools the city of Angarsk.

In 2008, the folklore ensemble participates in the I Regional Festival “Song Karagod” in Bratsk. This trip inspired, made friends the members of the ensemble and gave the mood for the future victories of Belorechenka. And they did not keep themselves waiting.

The ensemble becomes the winner in the Regional Festival of Song Folklore in Sayansk, and in 2010 the participants of the Regional Festival of Ritual and Game Folklore “Siberian Springs” in the village of Zalari, Cheremkhovo District with the rites “Trinity” and “Egoriev’s Day”.

Successes of the exemplary folklore ensemble “Belorechenka” were duly awarded with diplomas of the Grand Prix of the Regional Festival-Competition “Rising Stars of the Angara Region”, Laureates of the I Regional Folk Song Contest “Russian Melodies”, Regional Competition of Choral Groups and Vocal Ensembles “Singing Priangarye”, Laureates II and III degrees of the International Art Festival-Competition “Vivat, Talant!”, International Competition “Young Talents of Russia”, All-Russian Vocal and Choral Assembly “Canzoniere” of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The administration of the Usolsky district and the teaching staff of the children’s art school are proud of their young original talents! Choirmaster Oksana Kalashnikova with her guys from the ensemble, as they say, “both in fire and in water.”

Every year “Belorechenka” participates in the regional festival “Play, accordion Usolskaya!”. This is a competition for harmonists of the entire region, and Oksana Vladimirovna is a member of the jury.

In 2008, the exemplary folklore ensemble “Belorechenka” took part in one of the television programs of Channel 1 “Play, accordion” with the people’s artists of Russia Zavolokins. This year, on September 24, Angarsk will again host a meeting with famous artists and the recording of the program “Play, accordion”.

Children love their teacher for being kind to them, trust her with their secrets and consult with her.

Oksana Vladimirovna has many graduates for whom the love of folk singing has grown into a favorite job: Anna Shevchenko, a graduate of the Irkutsk College of Music named after Fryderyk Chopin and the East Siberian State Institute of Culture in Ulan-Ude and Oksana Vladimirovna’s colleague in the musical folklore class of the art school. Many graduates continue their studies today: Sofya Mutovina, 2nd year student of the Irkutsk College of Culture with a degree in Musical Folklore; Alina Kochetulina, student of the music department of the Pedagogical College of the city of Irkutsk; Victoria Mezentseva, a student of the Irkutsk Musical College. F. Chopin. This is not surprising, since at the lessons of the folklore ensemble and musical folk art, the teacher brings up interest, respect and love for the songs and traditions of his people.

Open lessons of the teacher are held at a high pedagogical level, a kind of creative mini-performances that remain in the memory of students, their parents and teachers for a long time.

Oksana Vladimirovna is one of the active teachers carrying out methodological activities at the art school in terms of developing programs for the folklore class and the department of early aesthetic development of children; creating articles for the school website and for the media; speeches with reports at the pedagogical council of the school, methodological seminars of the Usolsky district with his pedagogical experience.

Since 2006, Oksana Vladimirovna Kalashnikova has been the head of the Department of Early Aesthetic Development. 60 children aged 5-6 are happy to come with their parents to the art school on Saturdays to learn different types of art – music, drawing and dance. At the end of the school year, traditionally, Oksana Vladimirovna with a team of teachers develop a script for a creative report with the participation of “little talents”, where they are both presenters and actors.

A teacher in the system is engaged in self-education, improves his professional level. In 2010, Oksana Kalashnikova became the Winner of the Regional competition of professional skills “The best teacher of the art school”, and in 2011 she became the Laureate of the Regional competition “The best teacher of arts”. An important and worthy victory took place in 2021 in the Regional competition of professional skills “Recognition”, where Oksana Vladimirovna became the 1st degree Laureate.

Helped on the way to victory by a friendly teaching staff and native folklore ensemble “Belorechenka”. Oksana Vladimirovna has more than 30 years of teaching experience.

The work of O. Kalashnikova has been repeatedly awarded and encouraged by the Head of the Administration of the Municipal District of the Usolsky District Municipal Formation, the Head of the Belorechensky Municipal Formation, awarded with Diplomas of the Department of Culture and Youth Policy of the Usolsky District, a Certificate of Honor and a Diploma of the Mayor of the Usolsky District “Best in Profession”.

The head of the exemplary ensemble “Belorechenka” closely cooperates with many cultural institutions, organizations and enterprises of the Usolsky district, with the creative teams of the village of Belorechensky, the city of Usolye-Sibirskoye, organizing joint cultural and educational activities: folklore and folk holidays Christmas, Shrovetide, Easter Blagovest.

The festival of amateur arts, which is held annually at the Usolsk poultry farm of the Belorechenskoye Union of Artists, has become a good experience with the choir of the motor transport workshop, which included 77 men. This is a breathtaking sight and a tremendous boost of energy. The members of the choir looked at their choirmaster with great enthusiasm!

Another significant event at the poultry farm, in which the children of the Belorechenka Exemplary Folklore Ensemble took part in 2011, was the meeting on Usolsk land of a delegation consisting of Irkutsk writer Valentin Rasputin and Bishop Vadim of Irkutsk. This summer, in June, the ensemble “Belorechenka” under the direction of Oksana Vladimirovna took part in the creative session “Youth. Creation. Talent” in the beautiful taiga village of Razdolie. The guys prepared a concert program for the hospitable residents of the village, and they, in turn, taught young folklorists folk songs, games and traditions.

Oksana Vladimirovna has excellent human qualities: benevolence, responsiveness, responsibility, communication skills. A creative person with inexhaustible energy, Oksana Vladimirovna tries to achieve high results in her teaching and creative activities.
