Since the transition of women’s futsal under the jurisdiction of AMFR, Evgeny Kuzmin has always been the mentor of the Russian women’s team. Under his leadership, the young team has firmly become one of the world leaders, regularly proving its worth at international tournaments. It was Evgeny Kuzmin who became the next hero of the “Portrait” section.

I was born in the Moscow region, in the village of Tarasovka. Today it is a village that is inextricably associated with the Spartak football club, since its football base is located here. Cherkizovsky high school, in the primary grades of which I studied, was located directly opposite the base. Often after the lessons, the guys and I, having jumped over the fence, watched the training sessions and even to some extent felt like participants in the training process, serving balls. I saw all the players who played for Spartak in those years.

My mother worked at a garment factory in Moscow in two shifts. Therefore, as a rule, I was under the supervision of neighbors or a grandmother who lived not far from us. I spent all my free time after school on the street with the guys.

It turns out that my life since childhood, one way or another, was connected with football. True, I didn’t think about it then. The fact that I lived next to the Spartak base didn’t mean anything. We did not have any sports schools or sections in Tarasovka. We all basically kicked the ball in the yard. I know that my father was familiar with the Starostins, Starshinov and other famous sports people of his generation.

I entered FSM (Youth Football School) when we moved to Pushkino. Having passed the selection, he was enrolled in the school. When I first went to a training session at Luzhniki, which took 2.5 hours, I left a note to my mother saying that I had been accepted into a football school, that I promised to study well, obey and that she would not scold me, which I did it’s “on the sly”. I was then 10 years old. When I arrived, we had a conversation that determined my future future.

Ice was poured around the large sports arena in Luzhniki in winter. And we, taking skates and sticks with us, played hockey before training. To do this, they left the house very early, on a crowded six-hour train. People went to work, and we went to training.

If I remember who had a great influence on me in the process of upbringing, it is my mother and football. My parents divorced when I was still young. Mom was constantly at work, working in two shifts. Left early, arrived late. Seen, as a rule, rarely. I tried not to upset her. When he got bad grades, he tried to hide them by doing “chemistry”, and if it didn’t work out, he simply took out a sheet from his diary. And not because I was afraid that she would scold, I just didn’t want to upset her. This is what I was brought up on. This was the main thing for me so that my mother would not be upset. And, of course, football, which, on the part of my mother, was for me as an incentive and motivation.

I studied at a secondary level. They say that losers become good football players, in part, this is probably true. I think it’s all about psychology. They feel more free, there is no restraint in the manifestation of emotions and creative abilities. But, of course, everything is relative. At that time, I could not imagine my life without football. However, I studied quite normally, i.e. wanted to study. There were also favorite subjects, in addition to physical education, literature, history, geography. That is, I was not an excellent student, but I was not a loser either. As a rule, I tried to make annual estimates lean in favor of fours.

Football took up all my time until… Training, school, homework were my main activities until I got a serious injury, which became an obstacle for me to play sports professionally. I had more free time, which I spent in the yard, of course, not without the ball. Subsequently, the return to big sport nevertheless took place, albeit through thorns, but the dream came true.

I like to read. But you can’t say that I had it since childhood. In life, especially in its difficult moments, amazing things happen when you pick up a book, open it and understand what it means to read between the lines. You begin to feel that this is exactly what you need at this moment in your life… When I felt this, I began to read. The book was everything to me, and it can not be explained in words. Pikul, Dostoevsky, Gogol, Chekhov, Berdyaev and many other writers and poets of ours did not open up like they did at school. The philosophers of antiquity and their aphorisms are very interesting. Of modern Western writers, Richard Bach, Paulo Coelho with a rather difficult fate are interesting. But, besides books, there are other milestones in life, people, meetings, travels, which are your path, you just need to “learn to read between the lines of the book of life …”

Young people have gone online. It should also be noted that we all, by and large, have gone to the Internet. Thanks to him, today it is much easier to find any information. In this regard, my wife and I called ourselves dinosaurs for a very long time, we thought that we could do without a computer. But life takes its toll. If you do not want to fall out of time, feel the rhythm of life, study, master, in general, do not lag behind. True, everyone chooses for himself how and in what rhythm to live. It is very important not to leave the state of peace of mind. The speed of life has increased markedly and the flow of information that falls upon us can turn into a real flood if you do not learn how to navigate in this flow.

I don’t understand computer games. They may develop some skills… But everything should be in moderation. Life is movement, education of mind and body.

I have a normal attitude towards Russian journalism. I have never had precedents, so that after talking with a journalist, my words were changed and the meaning of what was said changed from this. But PR companies are so developed in the world at the moment that I understand why many athletes, artists are reluctant to communicate with journalists, since what is said is sometimes published in a different context.

One of the most important things in human relations is the language of communication. Listening and hearing the interlocutor are two different things. Sometimes we lack this skill. We are trying to say our own, it seems that exactly what you want to tell you is more important. .. And the ability to remain silent is no less important… The language of communication must be learned.

Everyone should mind their own business. The task of parents during the upbringing of a child is to help him reach his potential. Today, in my opinion, most of the “older” youth “survive in this world.” In pursuit of well-being, they missed the important. This is most likely due to what happened at 90th. Everything was clear in the USSR: kindergarten, school, army, family, work. Everything is written for you. And if you have your own opinion, then something is wrong here … Freedom was not welcome. For freedom, an appropriate upbringing is necessary. But we live in Russia… “Russia cannot be understood with the mind… one can only believe in Russia!” We were born in the country in which we should have been born, in which we should be realized. Now many people work for the sake of money, and not by calling. Let us believe that the recovery process will not be long and thorough. A new generation of parents and teachers by vocation will help to recognize the abilities of the student child and open the way for him.

As a rule, we always wish wealth to everyone, and material wealth at that. But we do not think: does a person really need it? Therefore, when I congratulate someone, I try to wish everything that is most necessary. Because what we want, we know. But we do not know what we need in this life.

Many people think that doing nothing is relaxing. I believe that work is that component of life where a person lives. Rest is just a change of work. My wife works at school, gets very tired, but recovers by working in the garden, growing flowers and caring for them. She says that this is how she rests her soul.

What happens in the country is a mirror of football and vice versa. In my opinion, the state of affairs in the country can be compared with what is happening in football. Of course, I would like us to be a single country, a single team. It is clear that things do not always go smoothly, but this is just normal, this is what gives impetus to development. Let us believe, hope and strive for the best.

Am I satisfied with the current government? There are a huge number of people who receive information through TV or radio, they think that they are aware of all the events, they believe everything that happens in the country. And there are politicians who should be given the title of “Honored Artists of Russia”. Of course, we want to trust and trust our government. But sometimes such things happen that you don’t understand who is behind the adoption of this or that decision, the head of state himself or those who are behind him? Maybe this is the beginning of a 40-year wandering, to change the minds of people, return to the roots and realize the historical role of the Russian state.

Russia is a monarchy. Perhaps that is why democracy is so difficult for our country? I myself adhere to the team of democratic principles. But often they don’t work. Yes, and the people themselves say that they need to be spurred on, they cannot motivate themselves and keep in good shape for a long time, it’s hard. They gave me freedom, but they don’t know what to do with it. This requires a completely different education, but only that it is not based on fear.

I was born and lived in the Soviet Union. I do not regret that there was such a country. Everyone has their own attitude towards the USSR. There were many wonderful things. And the friendship of peoples, at least for me, is not just words. Suffice it to recall the army, and I served in Kazakhstan, where guys from all the union republics served, and relations were built regardless of nationality – on human qualities.

Today, it is important to create our own training system so that we can streamline the education of high-class players. As such, we do not have training in the specifics of futsal. Therefore, now we have a clear task: to collect a database so that a unified training system will work in our country, both for beginner coaches and for highly qualified coaches, where we could track and apply modern training systems.

It is difficult to say today how high our level of training is. Undoubtedly, he is tall. But the fundamental base should be more solid. People change, perceptions change, training systems change, and you need to skillfully take all the good old and transform it into the great new. We now have a strong coaching corps and experienced and young coaches, basically they all work for themselves (and this is normal), but I would like to create a Russian school of futsal that could compete with the Spanish, Brazilian school. So that coaches receive modern systemic knowledge in various disciplines and age categories. We need to create our own system in sports again. Look at foreign countries that have taken everything good from us. And thanks to what they have taken from us – they are actively developing, they are above us in various competitions. However, the situation is still changing. Time is needed to bring all the accumulated plans back to life.

Most Western teams prioritize the individual, versatile preparation of the player. Because when a young athlete enters a big sport, it is much easier for a coach to choose a player for the style of play of his team. The player knows how, knows and wants to work. In our country, the team result in childhood and adolescence (by any means) is higher, and therefore we get a gray mass, the so-called “high-class” athletes. And it’s not the guys fault. This is psychology – one of the sides of the individual training of an athlete.

Our futsal team has big ambitions for the European Championship. We no longer want to discuss the possibility of taking second or third place. Now the question is only about the championship. Moreover, it is important for our team to beat Spain. She is a strong irritant for us. If you take and look at the statistics, you can see that we almost never beat the Spaniards. But the goal for the entire tournament is definitely one – the first place.

I want to treat criticism normally. In this regard, I would like the same thing that Gogol wanted in The Theater Journey: let everything be said about me, even negative ones, but for me it will be a lesson.
