AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

McKinney KinderCare Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.

Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community.  Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program

Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)

In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!

Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)

KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.

Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)

Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)

STEM Innovators (3-8 Years)

You’ve probably heard a lot about how important STEM education is for your child, but
what does that really mean? Our STEM Innovators program takes kids’ natural ability to
make sense of the world and applies it to robotics, chemistry, coding, geology, and
more. While your child experiments, they’ll discover how to use technology to do
amazing things!

Our Teachers

We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.

A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH

An Artist’s Heart

“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.

We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

Family Stories

Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!

  • We started at McKinney KinderCare the first day it opened after spending 2 years at another school. We could not be happier!! Our 2.5 year old and 7 month old both love their teachers and activities and look forward to class every day. The KinderCare difference is especially obvious with our 7 month old. He got more variety in development opportunities in 2 days at KinderCare than he did in 2.5 months at our old school. He also went from a wobbly non-sitter to a steady 10+ minute sitter in under 2 weeks with his teachers’ help! Our toddler’s teachers are so patient and loving, even during the potty training phase.

The staff is experienced and skilled, communication is terrific and the facility is top notch! I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone needing care for their kids, especially those with infants. They have been terrific partners with us in raising our kids and we look forward to many years here!

Attractions of the city of McKinney (USA state of Texas)

City of McKinney, located two hours north of downtown Dallas and 20 minutes from Plano.

This city can be called old by American standards. It was founded in 1841 by early settlers from the neighboring states of Arkansas, Kentucky and Tennessee and got its name in honor of the famous Collin McKinney. It was this man who participated in the creation of the first Declaration of Independence of the state of Texas, and in 1846 he settled here and helped numerous settlers settle in these places.

At the same time, a completely new county of Collin was created here, which was also named after Collin McKinney.

Named after Mr. McKinney, the city grew and developed rapidly. Today, more than 120 thousand people live here. In early 2008, all roadside signs on Dallas Route 75 were changed. Previously, Sherman was considered the most populated city in the northern part, but due to the rapid growth of the city, McKinney had to change the inscriptions on the shields.

McKinney carefully preserves its rich history – in this city there are a large number of old buildings that are protected by the state,

The city hall building was erected in 1876, now it houses a theater and a historical museum. But the building of the old city prison was created in 1880. Nowadays, it is often used by filmmakers for filming historical films, and 5 years ago there was an amazingly colorful restaurant there. The visitors of this establishment sat in real cells behind doors with bars, and all this space was lit by candles.

Talking about various restaurants and cafes, it is impossible not to mention the famous restaurant “The Pantry” (“Storage”), which has existed in this city for over 20 years. This establishment is included in all city guides and maps. This chic restaurant is housed in a former hardware store. There are still marks on the floor for measuring the boards that were traded here. The food in this restaurant is nostalgic for Americans.

If you are attracted to authentic American food, then the choice of restaurants and cafes in the city is simply huge.

The city of McKinney is generally recognized as the antique shopping capital of Texas. On the main square of the downtown there are at least 15 large and small shops selling old and just old things. Visiting such stores is a great pleasure; these walks through antique shops are more like a real trip to a museum than just shopping.

In such shops, you can perfectly get acquainted with the life of the city at the beginning of the 20th and even at the end of the 19th centuries. And the times of the Great Depression are quite abundantly represented by all kinds of products made from the so-called “depressive” glass (Depression Glass), a popular material of that difficult period in the life of Americans.

Near the central square is the famous Collin County Historical Museum. And two blocks away is the old district of the city “Chestnut Square” (Chestnut Square), where buildings of the middle and late 19th century stand in their original form. Many of them are living museums. Tours for city guests are held here on certain days every week. In addition, every Saturday in the spring, a farmers’ market is open on the square, where anyone can buy inexpensive and fresh vegetables and fruits. And once a month on Sundays, days of “living history” are held here – costumed performances from the life of past eras.

In addition to these iconic city sites, McKinney has a park that hosts all kinds of open-air concerts and theatrical performances in the summer, here you can also ride on the lake in boats made in the shape of swans. Not far from the city is the famous museum of natural history “The Heard Museum” and the area under the unusual name “Adriatica”, which resembles a small village somewhere in Croatia. Here you can also find a tiny winery called Collin Oaks. Here you can taste local wine and see firsthand its production. There is a small restaurant with a bar on the city’s Lake Lavon, called the Port Tavern. You can easily get here both by car and moored by boat. Every second weekend of the month, a large flea market opens in McKinney, second in size only to the market in Canton.
