SOWJS Mission

Our Vision

Shalom! We are Seeds of Wonder Journey School co-founders, Donna Aranson and Hannah Williams. We are a mother-daughter team with a passion for supporting young children, families and teachers. It has been our dream come true to create a school where children are centered and where families of all backgrounds are welcome and respected.

As mothers and educational leaders, we rely upon our shared 65+ years of experience in the field, extensive training, a deep understanding of young children and child development, our own Mama-instincts, our amazing faculty team, and each other to create a warm, welcoming, joyful environment where children learn through play and inquiry.

We are so proud of the growing SOWJS community, led by a stellar faculty team! We only hire professional teachers who have a deep respect of children, a passion for sparking young minds, who model collaboration and who set the tone for inquiry, discovery and wonder as the Lead Learners in the classroom.

As a locally owned and operated preschool, every question we ask, every problem we solve, and every new idea we implement is answered by our central belief: Childhood is Sacred Time. We make the most of that time by helping each child grow to their fullest potential, along their own unique journey.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story. We can’t wait to learn yours! We invite you to schedule your visit to Seeds of Wonder Journey School and learn more about how our progressive philosophy can benefit your child.

SOWJS  is the dream come true for Mother-Daughter Team, Donna Aranson aka Bubbe D & Hannah Williams!

Few people know about the Wave Organ, an acoustic metal sculpture that the Exploratorium installed decades ago. It sits at the top of the jet in the San Francisco Marina and is the musical instrument actually played by San Francisco Bay itself. The wharf was built from material taken from the demolished cemetery, providing a wide range of marbles and carved granite, which may be why the organ sometimes makes quite eerie sounds, as if the soul of a ghost is crying from within.
