Does my pet need to have certain vaccinations prior to daycare?

We require all pets in our care to be fully vaccinated in accordance with state regulations. For dogs, please provide proof of current Rabies, DHLP, Bordetella and Canine Influenza h4N2 and h4N8 vaccines. Vaccination schedules vary depending on your veterinarian’s policies and procedures, please consult with them to ensure that your pet is current on each vaccine before their stay. Proof of vaccinations is required prior to all visits. Records can be emailed to vaccines@elainespetresorts. com.

What can I expect after my pet’s stay?

While lodging your pet is exposed to a lot of new sights, smells, and sounds. This extra stimulation my cause a sense of excitement or unease, which may change their eating and drinking habits while in the lodging environment. It is very common for these unusual eating and drinking habits to continue for a few days once they get home and try to settle back into their normal routine. This can include changes in appetite, drinking habits, and possible upset tummies (colitis). Don’t be surprised if it takes your pet a few days to feel “regular” again.

With the extra stimulation of the lodging or daycare environment, some pets find it difficult to keep to their normal sleeping routine. This may result in your pet “crashing” for some much-needed recouperation when they get home. Don’t forget about all of the playtime your pet enjoyed during their stay! All the running around and swimming may require a few days of rest and relaxation to make your pet feel back to their old self again.

Are there risks if my dog participates in the group play setting?

Just like with kids at the playground, there is always a risk of an accident, and dogs are no different. While we monitor playtimes carefully, some pets may have more exuberant play styles than others. Nips, scratches, and the occasional tumble are to be expected when dogs engage in play with others. After all this romping around, some dogs may experience sore muscles or stiffness after a long day of playing and swimming.

Elaine’s Pet Resorts maintains a clean and safe environment for all our guest. Our play yards boast a vibrant easy to clean and sanitize artificial turf. While the turf is great for keeping your pet clean and safe from pests, it may be a bit rough for some dogs’ paws. Dogs who are used to non-abrasive surfaces (dogs who spend most of their time indoors or in lush grassy areas) may experience some tenderness on their paw pads after running around for long periods of time on our artificial turf.

Do all dogs participate in the group setting?

Our Story

Fresno Christian Early Education (FCEE) has served Central San Joaquin Valley families since 1995. Our goal was and remains focused on providing excellent childcare and preschool services in a Christian learning enrichment environment. We believe the early years of a child’s life are among the most important in his/her development. Therefore, our program is designed to enrich the mental, physical, social, emotional and spiritual development of the child. We’re proud to say our families consider FCEE a trusted partner in their child’s overall development from the infant and toddler stages to academically preparing their child for Kindergarten.

Our philosophy is based on a God-centered view that God’s laws, principles, ethics and standards are absolute truth; that the Bible is the inspired Word of God; and that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and sustainer of all things. Each child is viewed as a separate and unique creation of God, therefore, every child is accepted and loved based on this premise.

Our Team

We are an ethnically diverse team of 30 – each bringing unique talents and spiritual gifts to our center. We employ fluent Spanish and English-speaking teachers as well as teachers fluent in Sign Language.

Our director, Molly Bennett, has worked for FCEE since 2005. Prior to becoming the director in August 2018, she worked in various roles ranging from a preschool teacher and curriculum coordinator to an assistant director. All our daycare and preschool teachers are vetted through the California State Licensing Department, are CPR certified and emergency life-saving skills trained.

Our Campus

We are located on the campus of Peoples Church in the area of Herndon and Cedar avenues in Fresno. We are part of the Fresno Christian School system which is located on the backside of the church’s campus. Because we share such a large campus, it can be a challenge to find us.

Use the Fir Street entrance into Peoples Church which runs adjacent to Jackson Park Place Apartments. Fresno Christian Schools is located at the end of that driveway. If you go beyond the black gate, you’ve gone too far. The elementary school is the large two-story building at the end of the driveway, and to the front/left of the elementary building, you’ll see Fresno Christian’s early education building — a single story building with a half circle driveway. There’s a playground directly attached to our building which is visible from the parking lot.

We offer two year-round programs: a morning enrichment program and an all-day program. Here’s what you can expect from each of our programs offered:

Bible Curriculum

We reinforce biblical standards every day throughout the center. Chapel is held daily in the classrooms and together in a large group setting every Monday. We use the Abeka Christian curriculum which provides lesson plans and visually stimulating textbooks and visual aids. Abeka is also used for age-appropriate bible verse memorization, songs and stories. With Abeka, you can count on high academics and a biblical worldview preparing your child to make a difference in the world.

Birthdays

We love to celebrate birthdays! Parents, you’re welcome to bring special treats to your child’s classroom, however, please note we are a nut-free center. Anything with a tree nut ingredient delivered to FCEE or taken into the classroom will be sent home or thrown away. If special entertainment is desired, please check with the office first.

Dress Code

We recommend casual dress or play clothes suitable for messy materials or accidents. It’s important children feel comfortable and free to participate in all activities without worry of ruining their clothes. For your child’s safety, shoes must always be worn, flip flops and shoes with open backs are not allowed. Tennis shoes are the best option. Each child must always have an extra set of weather-appropriate clothes in their cubby for emergencies. Please send the extra clothes to your child’s teacher in a ziplocked bag with the child’s name clearly marked.

Field Trips

We love to take field trips! Going on adventures is a great way to enhance curriculum and give child hands-on experiences. Our two-year-old’s take small, short and local walking trips. Our three to five-year-old’s travel to local places like museums, the post office, Chaffee Zoo, Fresno State, and the pumpkin patch. All field trips are paid for by the parents. The center will provide special lunches or snacks if needed. Parents are encouraged to accompany their children on the trips. Help from the parents is always needed for transportation and general supervision of the children. A driver’s clearance form must be approved and kept on file in the office before a parent can transport any children other than his/her own.

Snacks & Lunch

We provide daily lunches and a total of four nutritious snacks between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.. Students enrolled in our early enrichment morning program, who leave FCEE during the noon lunch hour, are not included in the lunch service. During meal times, children practice table manners, praying before eating, and learn about nutrition and good eating habits. Nutrition during preschool years is important for their growth and learning, and provides necessary energy for an active school day.

Nap Items

Nap times for children staying all day begin after their lunchtime. We provide the mats and each child is to bring a fitted crib sheet and blanket. The bedding is sent home on your child’s last day of the week to be washed and is to be returned clean for the following week. All bedding is to be labeled with your child’s first and last name. We also offer a no-nap option but space is limited so it is strictly offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. We keep a wait list for those interested.

Parent-School Communication

Two-way communication between parents and FCEE teachers and administration is essential for a smooth-running operation, timely problem solving and for the development of your child. We offer an open-door policy welcoming parents to call or stop by our office or your child’s classroom anytime for updates or questions. We strive to always keep you in-the-know about your child’s progress and challenges, as well as keep you informed of important news and updates.
To help with effective parent communication, we publish news and announcements on parent communication boards located in the classrooms, send a monthly classroom newsletter by email, post messages on our Facebook page, and regularly communicate through letters home, flyers, email, phone calls and parent-teacher conferences.
