The Sweetest Place to Learn and Grow

Nurturing Learning Through Play in a Peaceful Setting

You’ll find our school tucked away from the main road on a quiet street in a friendly, safe neighborhood.  Our school and staff provide a tranquil environment in which your baby will grow and flourish.

Shaded by big trees, the green grassy and turf areas protect your baby as they crawl around and explore their surroundings. Our yard has fun playground equipment, like slides and swings, made just for babies and young toddlers.

Our teachers observe and play with your baby to encourage their development. Exercises like tummy time, grasping toys, and encouraging movement help your baby progress both cognitively and physically.

Character Building Starts
With Bible Songs And Stories

Your little one loves dynamic songs and storytelling; what better way to introduce them to values and faith? Encourage their budding character development through sweet Bible songs and stories as they learn the importance of daily prayer.

As part of our daily routine, we sing songs, clap hands, and dance with your baby. Music and movement influence the development of your little one’s language, memory, rhythm, and coordination.

Using the Procare© app, you will know when your baby had a diaper change, nap, or bottle. Teachers work closely with you to establish a unique schedule that follows your baby’s natural rhythms and home routine.

Amazing directors/staff (for the most part). Very accommodating/flexible. Great curriculum focused on the development of the children. I love how welcoming and open they are to and with the parents. Facility is beautiful and safe. Trusted with my whole life, literally! 10/10 recommend this daycare to everyone.

GREAT staff!! We as parents love it, and most importantly our kids love it. We highly recommend this to all of our friends and family that are looking for a daycare provider!!!

I am so happy that we found this daycare! The teachers are all so amazing. I know they genuinely love and care for my children as if they were their own.

My grandchildren have been at Children’s Promise Centers for over 3 years now and I must say, it is the most professional center we have visited (but also the lowest cost). I truly love the “peace” we feel when picking up or dropping them off and the comfort we have for their security and safety. We are pleased that the staff interacts with all ages and has an educational program starting with the infants. And how nice to have the kids in a quiet, grass and tree residential neighborhood.

All about the proper care of a newborn baby, features of caring for a baby

Bathing the baby

Should the baby be swaddled?

How to care for the nose and ears?

Caring for the umbilical wound and the skin around it

Baby day routine

Activities with the baby in the first year of life

All about diapers

Caring for a baby in the first year of life is a painstaking and interesting task. The most important thing is not to overdo it. In everything you need to observe the measure. The right approach to feeding, hygiene and walks will help the baby adapt to the unknown world and develop strong immunity.

Important! In no case should you protect the child from contact with the outside world. You do not need to comply with sterile conditions in the apartment. This approach will harm the health of the baby.

It is necessary to start hygiene procedures immediately after the child wakes up. First of all, the baby needs to be washed and the diaper or diaper changed to clean ones. Only then should you start feeding.

Bathing your baby

Bathing is not just a hygiene procedure. Taking a bath contributes to the physical and emotional development of the baby. It has a positive effect on the nervous system, helps to calm down before going to bed.

It is possible to bathe a child from the first days of discharge from the maternity hospital. If the house is hot, stuffy, the child sweats a lot, you can take baths with an unhealed umbilical wound. However, after the procedure, it must be carefully processed.

If the baby is kept in acceptable conditions, does not overheat and does not get dirty, you can postpone bathing for a couple of weeks. It is enough to use wet sanitary napkins and a towel dipped in clean water.

What should the water temperature be?

Water for bathing a child must be warmed up to +37 degrees. This temperature must be maintained for the first 10-14 days. After the baby adapts to the environment, the water temperature can be increased or decreased by 1 degree.

The air temperature in the bathroom should be the same as in any other room. No special heating required!

Should the baby be swaddled?

The question of the need for swaddling is still open. Adherents of “tight” swaddling give the following arguments in favor of this decision:

  • Wrapped up baby calms down faster and sleeps better.
  • Wrap around the body for a tactile feel.
  • In a diaper, the baby is less cold.

Loose swaddling is also possible. In this case, the diaper does not hinder the movements of the arms and legs. The advantages of this method are:

  • Freedom of movement.
  • Good air circulation between skin and fabric.
  • Teaching a child to sleep without diapers.

Some parents refuse to swaddle from birth, leaving the baby to sleep in light clothes.

Important! The question of the need for swaddling is individual for each parent. It is important to take into account the individual characteristics of the child’s body. If the baby sleeps calmly and does not toss and turn, he can not be swaddled from the first days.

How to care for the nose and ears?

Caring for your newborn’s ears and nose is just as important as bathing and walking.

Ear cleaning

Ear cleaning is mandatory. Dirt and wax accumulate in the baby’s ears, which are food for bacteria. Lack of hygiene is fraught with the development of otitis media, the formation of sulfur plugs and the occurrence of other ENT diseases.

To clean the ears, you can use a cotton pad soaked in clean water or special cotton swabs with a stopper.

Important! You can not use ordinary cotton buds or plain cotton wool wound around any object. This increases the risk of injury to the child.

A new stick or disc must be used for each ear. Be sure to wipe all the folds, paying attention to the skin behind the ears. If you see wax in your ear, gently remove it. If the inside of the ear is clean, it is impossible to climb into it “for prevention”.

Cleaning the nose

Until the baby can blow his nose on his own, parents should help him clear the nasal passages from mucus, crusts and other dirt. To care for your spout you will need:

  • Saline solution.
  • Aspirator.
  • Cotton wool.

At the very beginning, a couple of drops of saline solution should be instilled into each nasal passage. Wait a few minutes and take the aspirator. Use it to remove the accumulated mucus. You can also use cotton turundas.

Important! To avoid trauma to the mucosa, be careful when cleaning a child’s nose. Do not try to push foreign objects too deep into the nasal passages.

Care of the umbilical wound and the skin around it

In the absence of proper care, the umbilical wound can become the entrance gate for many infections. To avoid the inflammatory process, it must be properly looked after. It is very important to remember the following rules:

  • Never tear off the resulting crusts. If it becomes necessary to get rid of them, do it only after you soak them so that they can move away on their own.
  • No need to treat the wound with colored antiseptics. The pigment will interfere with the observation of the healing process. If necessary, you will not be able to notice redness or other problems in time.
  • Do not use strong antiseptics more than twice a day. This can cause soft tissue burns.

Treat the umbilical wound after bathing. Also, make sure that the elastic of the sliders or diapers does not squeeze the wound.

Baby’s daily routine

Pediatricians recommend a certain daily routine for the baby, but do not forget that all children are individual. Always listen to your child. It will take some time before the baby develops a certain regimen that will satisfy both him and his parents.

Walking with the baby

The first walk with the baby, regardless of the time of year, should last no more than 20 minutes. After that, every day you can add 5-10 minutes, bringing the total time to 1 hour. Further time of the walk will depend on the weather and the wishes of the parents. If the street is too hot or cold (below -10 degrees), the walk should be moved to a more favorable time.

Many parents are accustomed to combine walks, especially in winter, with the baby’s sleep. In fact, such a walk carries much less benefit. Why is this happening?

During sleep, the immunity of the child is reduced. If you practice sleeping in the cold regularly, phagocytosis will decrease. As a result, the baby will become more likely to get colds and viral infections.

It is best to go out with an awake and active child before going to bed or after waking up. If it is raining, strong wind or snowfall outside, you can also walk on the balcony.

How to dress a child under one year old?

How to dress your baby depends on the ambient temperature and weather conditions. You can rely on the following examples:

  • +21 and up. Light panama and bodysuit with short sleeves.
  • +20…+17 degrees. Thin panama or cap, light cotton slip and fleece overalls.
  • +15…+10 degrees. Light cotton hat, cotton slip, fleece jumpsuit, envelope or jacket, depending on age.
  • +10…0 degrees. Bottom set of linen, fleece overalls, cotton hat with lining, warm overalls or an envelope.
  • 0…-10 degrees. Cotton underwear, thermal underwear, hat-helmet, fleece overalls, overalls and envelope.

Sleep and wakefulness

A proper sleep and rest regimen is very important for a child in the first year of life. This mode may look like this:

  • 1 month. During the day, the baby can sleep from 4 to 8 times. The duration of a night’s sleep is from 8 to 10 hours. The total number of hours of sleep is 16-19.
  • 2-3 months. The number of daytime sleeps is 3-5. The duration of night sleep is 10-11 hours. The total number of hours of sleep per day is 17-19.
  • 4-5 months. The number of daytime sleeps is 4-5. The duration of night sleep is 10-12 hours. The total number of hours of sleep is 14-17.
  • 6-8 months. The number of daytime sleeps is 2-3. The duration of night sleep is 10-12 hours. The total number of hours of sleep per day is 12-15.
  • 9-11 months. The number of daytime dreams – 2. Night sleep – 10-12 hours. The total duration of sleep per day is 12-14 hours.

One nap is considered normal for a one year old child. However, he can also wake up at night. This is an approximate sleep pattern for babies. If your baby lives in a different mode, it’s okay. Most importantly, do not forget that good rest is extremely important for a growing body.

Baby activities in the first year of life

Baby activities should be tailored to the child’s age. In doing so, remember the following rules:

  • Take care of your child regularly from birth.
  • Choose the same time for classes. It is best to practice in the morning or in the morning.
  • Try to interest the baby.
  • The younger the child, the shorter the lesson should be.

You can go without toys for up to 3 months. During this period, the baby learns to concentrate. He is attracted to different sounds, bright colors and familiar faces. The older the child becomes, the wider the range of his interests.

All about diapers

Diapers make baby care much easier. However, if used improperly, they can cause significant harm to the body. So, what is important to remember when using diapers?

  • Regularly check the condition of the diaper. If it is wet, immediately replace it with a new one, removing urine and feces from the baby’s skin.
  • Air bath your skin from time to time. This will avoid the appearance of diaper rash.
  • Avoid scented diapers. Many children are allergic to these supplements.
  • Observe size range. Diapers that are too large will leak, and diapers that are too small will rub where they come into contact with the skin.

Important! Modern diapers are designed for single use. In no case should you dry them and put them on the child again.

How well and properly organized child care in the first year of life will depend on his future health. It is very important to observe moderation in everything and rely on the needs of the baby, as well as your own capabilities.

Department of pathology of newborns and infants

Department of pathology of newborns and infants operates at a new address Moscow, st. Sadovaya Kudrinskaya, building 15, building 6, floor 7.

Children in our department are special, so they need special doctors – neonatologists. If necessary, we always have the opportunity to consult children with specialists from the departments of the Russian National Research Medical University named after N. I. Pirogov, working on the basis of the Filatov Hospital.

We have state-of-the-art diagnostic and expert laboratory equipment at our disposal to make the correct diagnosis.

Emphasis is placed on supporting breastfeeding, but if for some reason the mother is unable to breastfeed, we use a variety of breastfeeding methods with native (freshly expressed) breastfeeding. In the absence of milk from the mother, the child is individually selected milk formula.

Touching a child, the so-called tactile contact, can have a beneficial effect on his body and further development, can be purposeful and comfort him, but can also be a source of suffering for the child, so we strive to minimize the required number of medical and nursing manipulations without compromising the quality of medical care. But this does not apply to the communication of parents with a child. We understand that parents of sick and premature babies need help, support and advice, but, above all, it is important for them to see and touch their baby. Most parents have a strong need (at the level of instinct) to touch the child, this is an important part of the process of forming attachment between the child and his parents. In our department, we do not just allow parents to visit the child, but we try to actively involve the family in child care, we allow parents to communicate with the child, take him in his arms, use tactile contact.

After passing the necessary tests, the mother can stay in the department around the clock – feed, take a direct part in caring for the child, but only when the child’s condition becomes stable, which does not cause concern to doctors.

The department holds a “School of mothers” – classes with an active discussion of the principles of breastfeeding, methods of care and features of the further development of our difficult babies.

The department accepts newborns around the clock from maternity hospitals and perinatal centers, intensive care units, second-stage nursing of newborns, as well as newborns and infants up to 1 year of age, urgently arriving by ambulance.

The department annually treats up to 1000 patients with various pathologies, including:

  • prematurity;
  • perinatal lesions of the central nervous system, including cerebral hemorrhages, hydrocephalus, malformations and lesions of the peripheral nerves;
  • respiratory diseases;
  • hemolytic disease of the newborn, hyperbilirubinemia of various origins;
  • diseases of the gastrointestinal tract;
  • anemia of various origins;
  • intrauterine infections;
  • congenital malformations of the heart and blood vessels;
  • congenital malformations of the kidneys and ureters;
  • intrauterine growth retardation and postnatal malnutrition;
  • genetic syndromes.

Babies from maternity hospitals with various congenital heart defects (CHDs) or vascular malformations are transferred to us. After birth, a child with such a developmental defect enters the department with his mother. The department conducts additional examination, observation and, if necessary, the appointment and correction of therapy for heart defects, infantile hemangiomas and various vascular malformations. The child is consulted by specialists from the Department of Cardiac Surgery and Microsurgery.

In 2021, 386 children with congenital heart defects, heart rhythm disturbances, and hemangiomas received assistance.

We present the amazing results of timely, conservative therapy of infantile hemangiomas:

Hospitalization is possible to prepare for planned surgical interventions of surgical, cardiac and nephrological profiles, differential diagnosis of neurological conditions.

In our department you can get the necessary ophthalmological care – from diagnosis to treatment of eye pathologies characteristic of newborns, including retinopathy of prematurity, dacryocystitis, cataracts.

Children with neurological pathology, such as perinatal lesions of the central nervous system of various origins, in any of its manifestations, are admitted from maternity hospitals, by referral from a polyclinic (referral form 057u), planned or for emergency indications, for diagnostics, therapy and rehabilitation. In 2021, 548 children with a similar pathology were treated in the department, were with their mothers, and were discharged with improvement.

Mother can be admitted to our department

In most cases, the mother is with the baby from the very beginning of treatment until discharge.

But sometimes the child’s condition requires intensive monitoring by medical personnel, and then parents can receive information about the child’s condition by calling +7-499-254-20-30, and as soon as the condition stabilizes, the baby’s mother is hospitalized in the department to care for her child. The date of hospitalization of the mother is determined by the head of the department and the attending physician according to the condition of the child, the mother and the availability of places in the department.

For the hospitalization of a mother in our department, you need:

You must have documents with you:

  • Passport (original + 1 copy)
  • Compulsory health insurance policy (original + 1 copy)
  • Documents of the child (birth certificate + 1 copy and medical policy + 1 copy)

PCR diagnostics are performed on the day of hospitalization to rule out COVID-19 disease. After receiving a negative result, the observation mode ends.

You need to take with you:

  • clothes for staying in the department (cotton gown, home suit and nightgown),
  • cotton socks,
  • personal hygiene items,
  • personal breast pump (if required),
  • allowed food for the mother for 1 day.

Memo for parents

  1. Obtaining information about the child’s condition. Legal representatives (mother, father, guardians or adoptive parents) receive information about the child’s condition from Monday to Friday from the attending physician on the 1st floor of building 6 from 13.00 to 14.00.
  2. Collect breast milk from 18:00 to 7:00, express into a clean container (you can freeze bags), store in a refrigerator in a closed container at a temperature not exceeding +4 0C, bring it every day from 7:00 to 8:30 and from 12.00 to 14.00 in a signed container (name of the child, department), place in a container for collecting breast milk on the 1st floor of building 6.
  3. Information about the child is not provided by phone, only in person.
  4. When a child is discharged from the department, it is necessary to have copies of documents in 1 copy: birth certificate and insurance policy of the child (issued at the MFC, with the original passport and medical birth certificate).

The doctor said to the patient:
“Look, now there are three of us – me, you and the disease.
If you take my side, we will easily overcome the disease.
If you side with her, I won’t be able to defeat you two.”
