Gentle Grapes and Peaceful Peaches (Ages 6 weeks to 12 months)

Our infant area provides the highest quality care in an environment that is designed with the parent and child in mind. While in our care, the children are stimulated through music, story time, sensory play, tummy time and interaction between teacher and child. Children in this class begin to hear Christian music, bible memory verses and fun songs that they will continue to hear as they progress through the classrooms at our center.

Our infant room is also cloth diaper friendly. We also encourage parents to come visit their children any time throughout the day. Rocking chairs are available for any parent that wants to come visit, as well as for nursing mothers. Our staff is trained on proper handling and storage of breastmilk. Lastly, you are notified in real time when you child is eating, napping, had diaper changes, and about their mood, or other activities.

Loving Lemons (ages 12 months to 18 months)

Our transitional infants are busy and ready to explore! They are constantly on the move with their new walking skills, exploring and learning through play at every moment. An action-packed day full of fun and purposeful, spiritually guided play helps your toddler to develop cognitive, emotional, social and physical skills for future learning and development. Our young ones are introduced to life skills by learning to self-feed and use sippy cups. They continue using baby sign language and words to communicate, as well as transitioning to sleeping independently on cots. We promote healthy brain development through positive relationships and responsive environments. This helps with child bonding and our language rich environment develops communication. We also work on their spiritual growth through our character development program based off the Fruits of the Spirit. Galatians 5: 22-23

Kind Kiwi’s (Young Toddlers, 18 months- 24 months old)

Our kind kiwi’s are building on the skills they learned in the Loving Lemons room! Children start drinking out of cups, get better at using utensils and are learning how to express themselves! Language development and social skills are developing at a rapid pace in this room. We teach children character development based on the Fruits of the Spirit and children are frequently read Bible stories and other stories to assist with language development.

The Abeka program is officially started in this room. Children start to learn colors, letters, numbers, shapes and much more! You will be surprised by how your child’s language development and knowledge will progress!

Real time notifications are sent via our Brightwheel app, giving you information on your child’s day.

Patient Pears (Older Toddlers, 24 months-30 months)

At this age, children are meeting new challenges as fast as they come. Children learn best if they are in a stimulating environment. Music, stories, art, bible, language development and outdoor play are the highlights of the day. At this age, they participate in Spanish language learning and also use books as a part of the Abeka curriculum.

Another exciting thing that happens in this group is toilet training! We work together with parents to make potty training a positive experience. Our caregivers are dedicated to helping each child develop these skills through a trusting and loving relationship. Lastly, a daily report is given through our Brightwheel app to update each family on meal times, nap times, toilet training and additional activities performed throughout the day.

Cheerful Cherries 30-36 months

Our Cheerful Cherries are our younger 3’s who are getting prepped for our K3 program. Most children are still potty training in this room. We support their transition from pull ups to undies by having frequent trips to the bathroom throughout the day and by providing lots of cheering when they use the potty!

Their educational journey is supported by the Abeka curriculum which includes phonics, numbers, art, bible stories, memory verses and music. Children also receive Spanish lessons. We provide lots of outdoor time, with children going out 2x per day on our playground.

Of course, you are made aware of everything your child is doing throughout the day through our Brightwheel app. You will be notified of when they have eaten, went to the potty, what they are learning, and will receive photos and videos of your child throughout the day. Lesson plans are sent weekly, so you are aware of what your children are learning.

PreK 3 (3 years old by Sept 1)

Children who are 3 years old by September 1 will participate in our preschool program. These children are exposed to a more rigorous curriculum that prepares them for kindergarten. In this program, children are learning letters, letter sounds, counting to 20, handwriting, art, Spanish phrases, bible stories, weekly memory verses and more! A weekly report is sent so you can reinforce what is being taught in class. Of course, we are also trying to grow good citizens, so children are taught self-help skills, and how to be kind and respectful to others. The work the children have done in class is sent home every week, so parents can see what their child has learned.

Keeping up with our “graduates” after they leave is important to us. 100% of survey respondents said their children were ready academically and socially for kindergarten, and all stated they would recommend CCD to a friend. We would love to have you and your 4 year old be a part of our close knit community!

Preschoolers – 3, 4 & 5’s –

About our Preschool Program (3, 4 & 5 Year Olds)

At Alphabet Land Learning Center, those preschoolers not yet enrolled in VPK, or who stay for wraparound care, get the opportunity to learn alongside our VPK curriculum, reinforcing the same concepts with fun lessons and activities, all while establishing a foundation for pre-reading, pre-math, language and social skills. The activities are designed to capture the children’s interest, and keep them engaged throughout the day. Daily lessons also include basic words in Spanish and Sign Language.

**Our 3 year olds have a separate classroom from the 4 & 5 year olds.**

A Day in the Preschoolers’ Room

Activities- Each classroom starts their day off with circle time, where children will sing, dance, and discuss the weather and other topics relevant to the day’s lessons. As our preschoolers prepare for Kindergarten, they will participate in activities that encourage free thinking like arts & crafts, dramatic play and story telling. Other organized activities to stimulate their minds may include sorting colors and shapes, copying letters and numbers, creating and identifying patterns, and fun sensory activities. Our teachers try to make learning as fun as possible by incorporating games and outdoor time as often as possible.

Helping Your Preschooler Grow

Social/Emotional Development- Preschoolers will become increasingly more social and will relish in being able to play cooperatively and have conversations with their friends and family. They will be curious and ask lots of questions. They will also enjoy telling others about something they’ve done or something they are interested in. Preschoolers will also become more and more creative as they learn to play make-believe, demonstrating the ability to mimic people and also develop new characters on their own. Our teachers jump at the opportunity to answer your preschooler’s most random or outrageous questions and to present them with new ways of thinking and playing.

Cognitive Development- Learning, thinking and problem solving are all forms of cognitive development.  Preschoolers will begin to understand the concept of time, recognize differences and similarities, and comprehend the causes and effects of certain actions. While the teacher is reading a story, she will stimulate their minds by asking the children to guess what happens next or to explain why something happened in the story. Children will also review colors, numbers, letters and shapes as part of their lesson. Practice is key, but keep in mind, this can be done in many different ways including finding a triangle somewhere in the room, gathering 4 bean bags or assigning the children a specific colored chair. The teacher will find new and exciting ways to spark the children’s interest and keep them thinking.

Physical Development- With practice, preschoolers will be able to catch and throw with accuracy, balance themselves on one foot like a flamingo, ride a tricycle and participate in fun exercise games. Fine motor skills such as using scissors, opening jars, copying letters and shapes, and getting dressed and undressed will also be refined during this stage. Our teachers will create fun and exciting challenges that will help your preschooler unearth their potential. They will realize that they are able to do a lot of the same things moms, dads and teachers do, and will be thrilled to pitch in at school and around the house.

Language Development- Your preschooler will begin to speak more and more clearly as his/her grammar improves and vocabulary expands. Your child will use full sentences when telling you about their day at school. Listen for proper usage of past tense and future tense. You’ll also hear about the stories we read and the songs we sing. Since this is the stage where children are most eager to learn, our teachers seize the opportunity to teach them words and concepts they might not learn for many more years. For example, the children may learn that some dinosaurs like the Triceratops were herbivores, while others like the Tyrannosaurus Rex were carnivores. You’ll be amazed by the lingo your preschooler picks up.

Classroom Curriculum

Each of our classrooms follows a themed curriculum, tailored to the children’s age and developmental level. The curriculum lays out the foundation of each child’s social, emotional and intellectual growth. Every month has a fun and exciting new theme, which all of the lessons revolve around. Each month also focuses on a different set of letters, numbers, colors and shapes, and introduces the children to Spanish and American Sign Language. Every day is filled with fun and learning!

Kindergarten 3-6 years old

The number of pupils in groups is up to 12 people.
In our private kindergarten “Premier” your child will find a fascinating world of childhood that will help him make friends, discover his creative abilities and talents, as well as acquire the skills of socialization and adaptation to a new team.
We want to see our children not just ready to continue their education in primary school, we educate them to be active explorers of the world around them. That is why the educational program “From Birth to School” edited by N.E. Veraksy, T.S. Komarova, M.A. Vasilyeva. The main goal of this program is to develop an active attitude to life in children. Classes are held in an entertaining way.
The educational process is carried out in a favorable psychological atmosphere. The interaction of teachers with children is personality-oriented and is based on respect for the interests of the child, recognition of his subjective position in various types of activities, the formation of spiritual and universal values, taking into account the principle of continuity between kindergarten and elementary school, and a positive assessment of his activities helps to maintain activity, confidence and curiosity of preschoolers.
Kindergarten teachers constantly improve their professional skills, have good experience in preschool education and love children very much. Modern information and communication technologies are actively used in our kindergarten, master classes, field trips with children of the senior and preparatory groups and many other interesting events are held.
Carrying out continuity between generations, we traditionally hold meetings with graduates of our kindergarten and school. Thematic days and weeks are held (“The ABC of Security”, “In the World of Books”), competitions between groups, thematic fairs on the basis of the “Premier” school.
The system of working with parents in our educational institution is aimed at increasing their pedagogical activity, competence, and at building confidence in kindergarten. Close cooperation between the teaching staff and the family is of great importance for the further development of the child.
During the school year, the children are working on group projects, such as: “Family is the basis of happiness”, “Soon to school” and others. The purpose of such projects is to establish emotional contact with parents, improve child-parent relationships based on the conscious attitude of parents to the life of a child in a family, and involve parents in leisure activities with children in kindergarten. Thanks to such joint activities in the “Teachers-Children-Parents” team, moms and dads become active participants in the life of the kindergarten, give children unforgettable moments of joy.
The educational process in kindergarten and elementary school is accompanied by psychologists and speech therapists. The program of preschool and elementary education includes weekly psychological trainings, where children learn to cooperate, respect the opinion of another person, develop communication skills, and learn to resolve conflict situations. Our most important task is to strengthen and maintain health.
Meals are organized on the basis of the school canteen. The control over the preparation of food and the preparation of the menu is carried out by a dietitian, taking into account the recommendations of the Institute of Child Nutrition. During the day, four meals a day are organized: breakfast, second breakfast (juices, fruits), lunch and afternoon tea. If necessary, an individual menu is compiled in accordance with the diet according to the child’s disease profile.
Active work is constantly being carried out to equip and strengthen the material and technical base of our preschool institution.

Books for children 3-4 years old – Kindergarten No. 32 of the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg

What questions and problems will books help us deal with?

  • Perhaps one of the most important is the child’s understanding of what is “good” and what is “bad”. Let’s take a look at a typical program for the upbringing and education of preschool children, let’s see what the authors recommend reading for the formation of moral and ethical guidelines for our baby?

Russian folklore: Fairy tales. “Kolobok”, arr. K. Ushinsky; “Cat, rooster and fox”, arr. M. Bogolyubskaya; “Swan geese”; “The Fox and the Hare”, arr. V. Dahl.

Folklore of the peoples of the world: Tales. “Two Greedy Little Bears”, Hung., arr. A. Krasnov and V. Vazhdaeva; “Goat-dereza”, “Mitten”, Ukrainian, arr. E. Blaginina.

sharing his joys and experiences, gradually begins to take care of others. Do not forget to discuss what you read with your child after completing the reading of the work. Ask questions about the content of the text. Find out what you liked the most or, on the contrary, upset the baby. Encourage your child to make independent statements. “And if you were in the place of the main character, then what would you do in such a situation?”

The following works are intended to help teach a child sympathy, empathy, emotional response to various situations:

Russian folklore: Fairy tales. “Wolf and goats”, arr. A.N. Tolstoy; “Swan geese”.

Folklore of the peoples of the world: Tales. “Forest Bear and the naughty Mouse”, Latvian, arr. Yu. Vanaga, trans. L. Voronkova; “The Rooster and the Fox”, Scotch, trans. M. Klyagina-Kondratieva.

Prose. K. Ushinsky. “Cockerel with family”; K. Chukovsky. “Yes and no.”

  • Each of us makes mistakes, and even when a little man is just beginning to learn about the world, then it is completely impossible to protect him from mistakes. “Mistakes – learn.” It’s hard to argue with that, but these lessons can be very painful. But without mistakes, there is no life experience. How can these mistakes be made less traumatic? How to teach a child to treat his mistakes even with humor? And books will help answer these questions:

Russian folklore: Songs, nursery rhymes, incantations. “Forty, forty…”, “I’m going to my grandmother, to my grandfather…”, “Tili-bom! Tili-bom!..”, “Shadow, shadow, sweat…”, “We lived with granny…”.

Fairy tales. “Goby – black barrel, white hooves”, arr. M. Bulatova; “Fear has big eyes”, arr. M. Serova.

Folklore of the peoples of the world: Tales . “Puff”, Belarusian, arr. N. Myalika; “Goat-dereza”, “Mitten”, Ukrainian, arr. E. Blaginina.

Works of Russian poets and writers: Poetry. R. Sef. “Everything in the world looks like everything…”; K. Chukovsky. “Hedgehogs are laughing.”

Prose. G. Point. “Newbie on a walk”, “Yeltyachok”; W. Bianchi. “Bear-head”; S. Prokofiev. “Masha and Oika”, “When You Can Cry”, “The Tale of the Rude Word “Go Away”.

Works of poets and writers from different countries: Poetry. J. Baltvilks. “Rhymes with clues”, trans. from Latvian. D. Tseselchuk; L. Mileva. “Swift and Gray Clothes”, trans. from Bulgarian M. Marinova.

Prose. D. Bisset. “The Frog in the Mirror”, trans. from English. N. Shereshevskaya; L. Muur. “Little Raccoon and the One Who Sits in the Pond”, trans. from English. O. Exemplary.

  • “A friend is a valuable treasure, no one is happy with an enemy.” How much wisdom is contained in this Russian proverb. To be able to be friends with someone, and not against someone, to respect yourself and at the same time show responsiveness, see the injustice of relations – this is a far from complete list of questions that are easier to find answers with the help of a book. When reading books, you express your opinion about the behavior of the characters, pushing the child to think, compare book and real situations.

Russian folklore: Fairy tales. “Cat, rooster and fox”, arr. M.
