Early Head Start (EHS) provides no-cost full day/full year child care for eligible families and their children under the age of 3.

How does it work?

Early Head Start focuses on the needs of pregnant women, infants, and toddlers.

EHS funds many flexible child care options, including programs at child care centers, in private homes or a combination of home and center-based services.  EHS also offers weekly educational supports in your home as an option for you to continue to support your child’s development outside of the classroom.

In addition to providing education services, EHS programs support the mental, social, and emotional development of your child by providing information on health, nutrition, and other services. Healthy snacks and meals are served throughout the day.

Programs are available until your child turns 3 years old. Once your child turns 3, you may apply for Head Start funding or PHLpreK.

Am I Eligible?

You are likely eligible for Early Head Start if:

• Your child is younger than 3 years old. Your child may be older than 3 years old if they are in the process of transitioning into Head Start.
• You meet income guidelines: Your child’s eligibility to receive EHS funding is based on your family’s size and income. To be eligible to receive EHS funding, your total annual family income must be 100% or less than the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Look below to see whether you’re likely to quality for EHS funding based on the number of people in your family and how much you make:

Families experiencing homelessness or children who are in foster care are automatically eligible to receive Early Head Start funding.

Families who receive SSI or TANF are also automatically eligible.

During this stage, our staff also makes safety a top priority as toddlers begin to crawl, pull up, stand, and walk. Our staff is vigilant and physically present while toddlers explore. Young toddlers also have a hard time expressing their feelings. Sometimes they hit, throw toys, bite, kick and scream. We will try to prevent inappropriate behaviors and redirect when necessary.

In the same way that we experience the world through our five senses, the S² philosophy encompasses five sensory experiences for toddlers in our Toddler “Ones” classroom:

    1. emotional stimulation – providing emotional support during times of happiness and excitement, as well as sadness and separation anxiety

    2. environmental stimulation – providing opportunities that encourage socialization with others; not always having several of the same toys-learning the process of sharing and turn-taking

    3. language stimulation – helping your toddler begin the expressive communication process; narrating for them as they try to communicate their wants and needs with their peers and staff

    4. physical stimulation – introducing sensory experiences such as water play and finger painting; indoor and outdoor activities that encourage crawling, coasting, climbing and walking

Kindergarten in Odminya. Group “Player” for children 2-4 years old

We invite you to the kindergarten of intellectual and aesthetic development NeoZebra in Vilnius. High-quality preschool education in Russian is provided by qualified teachers with more than 10 years of experience in their age category, as well as their assistants. We use modern early development programs and methods of smooth and unobtrusive adaptation of the child. We pay special attention to the emotional well-being of the child.

Age of children

Children from 2 to 4 years old are invited to the “Player” group of the kindergarten on Odminya.

Garden hours

From Monday to Friday from 8.00 to 18.00.

Most parents bring their children to us for the day, which allows you to get the most out of our educational programs. In some cases, in agreement with the teachers, you can choose the option of a partial visit – only a mini-kindergarten with intellectual classes from 89. 00 to 13.00 or only the aesthetic development complex from 13.00 to 18.00.
