Here at Word of God Early Learning Center your child will receive the best of both worlds because we focus on the academics, as well as the spiritual well-being of the whole child. Our philosophy, Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go”, therefore we teach from a biblical worldview. We seek to reach the hearts and minds of young people through Jesus Christ by helping them build the foundation of what God has called them to be. We set achievable goals that would bring complacency for our children to grow with the support of the parents/guardians. We teach from the Abeka curriculum for academics and theological knowledge; we plant a seed of who God is in the heart of our little ones. You can count on high academics and a spiritually sound student that is prepared to make a difference in the world.

We believe we offer the finest in Childcare Services and will continually strive to better our program for each age level. We offer a 10% discount for multiple children in a family for full-time enrollment; the discount is applied to the youngest child. Fee-paying arrangements for holidays, bank holidays, etc. will be agreed with parents at the time of enrollment. Parents will sign a billing contract agreeing to the terms of the fee payment policy.

(Too Damn High) Average Cost of Daycare in North Carolina in 2022

It is hard for most families with double income to find a proper daycare for their infants. Daycare is of primary importance in households with small children and no one to look for them.

In this article, I have compiled together the average cost for daycare in North Carolina. Scroll along, and you might find some interesting facts about daycare and its costs.

Is Daycare More Expensive Than College Tuition in NC?

With the rising prices in daycare, it has become impossible to find a facility with reasonable prices. In North Carolina, the average college tuition costs around US$7,000, and meanwhile, the cost of daycare centers is up to US$ 9,480 annually.

So now the concern is whether the facility is as promising as the price demands. It is not a good idea to profit from someone else’s money without giving back a proper service. So, you should be very cautious while deciding on a daycare center; have a thorough observation of the place before you admit your child to their care.

Is Home Daycare Cheaper in NC?

If you are on the lookout for an affordable and reliable daycare center, knowing how the cost compares to other states is essential.

In the US, Massachusetts has the highest cost of daycare at an annual cost of US$ 20,913. On the other hand, Mississippi ranks the lowest, at a yearly cost of US$ 5,436, and North Carolina stands at US$ 9,480.

After comparing the costs of daycare centers in North Carolina with other states, we can conclude that it ranks somewhere around the middle of the list.

Why is Daycare Expensive in NC?

There are many reasons why daycare has become so expensive. North Carolina, in particular, is not one state where daycare prices are reasonable. Below are some of the reasons I find to be contributing to the increasing costs:

  1. Daycare centers with convenient locations call for a high price. This is because the facility has to pay a lot more rent or expense a significant sum on the land at such sites.
  2. Insurance for child daycare services is difficult to get and hence, costs quite a bit.
  3. Marketing costs are another important area of expense that daycare centers have. They need to constantly improve their infrastructure and keep updated with the latest facilities to be at par with the competitors. Also, advertising and maintaining an active online presence takes a lot of money.
  4. Most caregivers are given several children to look after, increasing their workload. This is one reason why they demand a high fee.

Cost of living in the US and UK: an overview

No one would name the cost of living. live data for destinations around the world.

-0.49%

The average cost of living in the UK compared to living in the US.

This figure includes an average rent of $2,328.60 for a studio apartment in Central London compared to an average rent of $3,173.11 in New York.

Of course, we are comparing diamonds with diamonds here. Both are notoriously expensive cities. If you moved from, for example, Raleigh, North Carolina to London, your monthly rent will be 95.59% higher on average, and dining out will be 36.87% more than at home in Raleigh.

But in any case, there are some surprising differences in the cost of living between the US and the UK.

The cost of living in the UK

An American moving to the UK is in for a few surprises. For example:

  • Gasoline is $6.27 per gallon. The US national average was just below $3 per gallon in February 20211
  • Medical care is provided free of charge through the National Health Service, and the cost of prescription drugs is heavily subsidized. About 10% of residents and some foreigners buy private health insurance, which allows them to avoid long waiting times for certain specialists4

Overview

The impact of Brexit on consumer prices in the UK remains a big unknown.

  • Utility costs can be much more expensive. The cost of basic utilities in London is about 65% higher than in New York.
  • The cost of a private school is much lower. Monthly fees for preschool or kindergarten in London are 26.54% lower than in New York.

US cost of living

Food prices in New York are generally higher than in London, whether you’re dining out or shopping at the supermarket. But there’s a big caveat: affordable price lists at groceries in the UK – all before Brexit. According to the latest data, the UK imported almost 30 percent of its food from the countries of the European Union. How much this import will cost after the break is anyone’s guess.

New York has relatively good prices for transportation, public transport or taxis.

However, an Internet connection in New York costs about 55% more than in London.

Key Findings

  • Overall, the cost of living in the UK is 0.49% lower than in the US. Overall, rents in the UK are around 22.55% lower.
  • You need $4,700 a month to fund a modest lifestyle in London, compared to $5,822 for a similar lifestyle in New York.
  • Food in London is significantly cheaper than in New York, but this may change when Brexit starts.

Special considerations for the cost of living

When economists or statisticians measure the cost of living in a country or region, they look at the amount of money a consumer needs to achieve an average standard of living.

In other words, the cost of living measures how much food, housing, clothing, healthcare, education, fuel, and various goods and services can be bought with one unit of currency.

On this total cost of living in the UK is 0.49% lower than the cost of living in the United States. Total rent in the UK is about 22.55% lower6.

These are cumulative figures for all UK metropolitan areas, from the expensive cities of London, Reading and Aberdeen to the cheapest cities of Liverpool, Belfast and Kingston.
