Welcome to Tiny Tots Incorporated!

Tiny Tots Incorporated, a family owned and operated nursery and preschool, was founded in 2008 by an Israeli mother who wanted to provide her daughter with a hands-on, exploratory learning based curriculum in a loving and nurturing environment while encompassing socialization with other children.

Tiny Tots Incorporated offers a Reggio-Emilia inspired, play-based curriculum in a unique Hebrew/English bilingual environment. The center focuses on small and personalized groups in large sized classrooms with low child-teacher ratios. Tiny Tots Incorporated employs highly qualified teachers, specializing in the age group that they work with to ensure the highest quality of care.

Child Care Provider Training & Assistance

YWCA Metropolitan Chicago believes that all children deserve quality care. High-quality early education programs improve children’s developmental outcomes. Recently the spotlight has been on the importance of the early years and the public is demanding more from early childhood professionals and their programs.

The Quality & Training team is committed to partnering with early childhood professionals like you that have dedicated themselves to helping children learn, grow, and develop to their full potential and to help parents, families, and communities build strong educational programs. We offer a variety of services specifically designed to support early childhood professionals and help them provide the highest quality of care for children in our communities.

IDHS’ Division of Early Childhood is aware of issues with CCAP payment amounts for a specific set of child care providers whose payments were entered between 1/1/23-1/12/23. For some affected providers, co-payments may have been deducted more than once; union membership dues may not have been deducted; and/or some providers received multiple payments for the same certificate.

IDHS is working closely with Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies and with SEIU to resolve these issues for child care providers as quickly as possible, and IDHS will be in contact with affected providers directly regarding next steps to resolve the issues.   If you would like to reach out to us for assistance, you may:

  • Call our automated phone line to check on the current status of your own payment: 800-804-3833
  • Call our automated phone line for general information regarding the status of all child care payments: 217-524-9041;
  • Leave a voice message regarding your specific child care payment issue or concern: 217-785-9160;
  • Send an email and receive a response from a member of DEC staff : [email protected]

Spring Festival! Labor Day! We celebrate as we always wanted! Blooming trees whirl aroma, Giving the mood to everyone you meet in a row. Work today, let it wait, And the rain, a little splashing, will soon leave. In the blue sky, spilling rays, From the happiness of spring they give people the keys. Let the merry laughter spin your head! Joyful laughter, noisy fun! Good luck to all, may success await us all!

The history of the origin of the holiday May 1

It is known that May 1 was celebrated as the day of solidarity of workers. But few people imagine that this holiday originates in America. The history of this date is connected with the events that took place in Chicago in 1886.

Then, on May 1, 1886, the workers of Chicago went on strike against the 15-hour day and demanded that the factory owners switch to an 8-hour day. The demonstrations continued for 4 days. In July 1889Year 1 Congress of the 2nd International in Paris decided to consider May 1 as the Day of the International Struggle for the 8-Hour Working Day and the Day of International Solidarity of the Workers of All Countries.

In the history of Russia this day was celebrated in Warsaw in 1890. That day passed with a May Day strike of workers. The official holiday of May 1 became after the October Revolution and was accompanied by military parades and demonstrations of workers. And in 1917, May Day began to be celebrated openly in all cities.

In 1997, the Day of International Solidarity of Workers of All Countries was renamed the Holiday of Spring and Labor. Indeed, May Day is the first and real holiday of spring. With the arrival of the warm spring season, people joyfully greeted this day and went to demonstrations all over the people. Met with colleagues, friends, relatives. They had picnics in nature.

Few people know that the May Day holiday has pagan roots. The fact is that the month of May was named after the goddess Maya, the goddess of the earth and fertility, who was worshiped by the inhabitants of Ancient Italy. After plowing the land and sowing, the ancient people solemnly celebrated the first day of May so that their spring labor would not be wasted and had a good harvest. Also, according to tradition, May Day is celebrated in many European countries. Most of all in these countries this holiday is associated with different spring flowers. For example, in Spain, on the day of the holiday, young grooms give flowers to their chosen ones, which bloom by this time.

In Germany, the May Day (Maifeiertag) has been celebrated since ancient times. On it you can dance, sing, buy useful and funny things at the craftsmen’s fair, listen to music.

The celebration takes place in honor of the resurgent nature, blossoming spring. Winter is over and nature is starting a new life.

Even the ancient Greeks on this day dressed with strips of wool the sacred pine tree of Attis (husband of Mother Earth — Cybele) in honor of his resurrection. The pine tree had cut off branches. She was solemnly carried with a procession to the temple, during the procession everyone danced around the tree. In the ancient world, this day turned into the Holiday of Hilaria, and later among the northern peoples – the day of the May Queen and the Green Man. In the Middle Ages, this custom was adopted by the Germans, which still exists today.

It is obligatory to decorate the house (inside and outside) and the garden with young shoots and flowers. All this ensures success, health, rich harvest. At night, bonfires are lit, around which they dance, arrange dances, and jump over the fire. There is a choice of May queen and king.

The symbol of May Day is the May Tree, which is dedicated to agriculture and the resurrection of the image of the Tree of Peace.
