Teachers

Rainbow Riders values our teachers as the most important element of a high quality
program as the day-to-day interactions, communication, curriculum and environment are guided by
the teachers. It is critical that teachers understand child development, respect children as unique
individuals, and work with our families as partners.

We encourage our teaching staff to embrace the opportunity to grow and to learn from our children
and families, as learning is a lifelong process. Every day presents a unique challenge that requires
creativity, flexibility, patience, good communication, teamwork, and a love for children. We hope that
teachers in our program will enjoy the journey with our families and co-teachers as we strive to
provide a wonderful learning environment that encourages each child to reach their fullest potential.

I have worked at Rainbow Riders for over 10 years, and would not work anywhere else. The admin are supportive and approachable, the staff are positive and friendly, and the benefits are above and beyond what is offered at any other childcare center in the area. The Reggio Emilia inspired philosophy and an emergent curriculum allows the children to learn in a developmentally appropriate manner about the things which interest them, while also learning vital social emotional skills. There are many opportunities for professional development, including local and state conferences and continuing education.

Pay and Benefits

Compensating our teachers fairly is a high priority at Rainbow Riders. The budget is planned carefully so that tuition increases directly impact teacher pay rates. Annually, our staff salaries and benefits make up around 72% of the overall expenses demonstrating our strong commitment to our teachers. Benefits for full-time staff include: paid leave, health and dental insurance, life insurance, IRA retirement plan with employer matching, subsidized child care, educational and training opportunities.

Professional Development

Rainbow Riders believes that the continued development of teachers is
as important as the development of children. Opportunities are available
to teachers throughout the year and are discussed during Individualized
Professional Development planning meetings.
Some of these opportunities include regular staff meetings, in-house mentoring by
Consulting Teachers, local training opportunities, state and local
conferences, on-line training, community college classes, Child
Development Associates credentialing (CDA), and other opportunities.

Qualifications

Employees at Rainbow Riders must possess a positive, professional attitude and a desire to further their knowledge of best practices in working with children and families. Warm, nurturing, energetic personalities are essential, along with good verbal and written communication skills. Experience and at least an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred but not required. Opportunities for professional development are provided for all staff. If interested in applying for a position, please complete the application and drop it by or mail it to one of our sites, with attention to Human Resources.

Rainbow Riders is an equal opportunity provider and employer.

What documents are needed for employment?

What documents can an employer require when applying for a job? The full list is in the article Superjob!

Passport

First of all, you need a general passport. If it is not available, another identity document is required. Please note that by law, not every document is an identity document. So, if we talk about a “standard” situation, an identity document can be either a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, or, in its absence, an identity card of a citizen of the Russian Federation for the period of issuing a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation (the form of such a certificate is established by Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia dated 16.11. 2020 No. 773).

For foreign citizens, such documents are:
— Passport of a foreign citizen or other document established by federal law or recognized in accordance with an international treaty of the Russian Federation as a document proving the identity of a foreign citizen.
– An identity document for the period of consideration of an application for recognition as a citizen of the Russian Federation or for admission to citizenship of the Russian Federation.
– Refugee ID (respectively for refugees).
– Other documents, depending on the status of a foreign citizen.

Registration at the place of residence

According to the Labor Code, an employer has no right to refuse employment to a citizen who does not have a registration, with the exception of foreign citizens. In practice, companies rarely hire staff without registration, especially if the position involves financial responsibility. We advise you to resolve this issue in advance: a showdown at the stage of applying for a job is not the best way to make a career.

Work book

Official employment implies that the employee has a work book (in accordance with Article 66 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, every employee who has worked in the organization for more than 5 days should have a work book if this is the main place of work for him).

An exception is the case when at your previous place of work you have refused to continue maintaining a work book on paper or you are applying for a job for the first time (after January 1, 2021).

In the event that at your previous place of work you submitted an application for refusing to maintain a work book on paper (i.e. switched to the so-called “electronic work book”), you must provide information about your work activity in order to be employed by a new employer. This information, duly certified, must be given to you by the previous employer upon dismissal on paper or in the form of an electronic document signed with an enhanced qualified electronic signature (if the employer has it).

You can also get this data:
• In the multifunctional center for the provision of state and municipal services – on paper, duly certified.
• In the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation – on paper, duly certified, or in the form of an electronic document signed with an enhanced qualified electronic signature.
• On the unified portal of state and municipal services – in the form of an electronic document signed with an enhanced qualified electronic signature.

If you get a job for the first time after January 1, 2021, the paper work book is not filled out (only the electronic work book is maintained).

Remember that the employer does not have the right to demand a work book from you if you work part-time in the organization.

TIN and pension certificate

Current legislation does not oblige a citizen who is not an individual entrepreneur to receive an individual taxpayer number. Accordingly, the employer is not entitled to require the presence of a TIN. But if you are nevertheless asked to present such a document, it can be quickly issued at the tax office at the place of residence.

Also, when applying for a job, you must provide a document confirming registration in the system of individual (personalized) accounting. This can be a SNILS card issued before 04/01/2019, or a notice of registration in this system in the form of an electronic document or on paper in the form approved by Resolution of the PFR Board dated 06/13/2019 N 335p.

If you are applying for a job for the first time, the employer submits information for registering you in the system of individual (personalized) accounting to the territorial body of the PFR.

Military registration documents

Military registration documents are mandatory for those liable for military service and persons subject to conscription for military service (in our country these are men aged 18 to 27 years). For conscripts, this is a certificate of a citizen subject to conscription for military service. Citizens who are in reserve must present a military ID or a temporary certificate issued in exchange for a military ID.

Diplomas and certificates

Documents on education, qualifications or special knowledge are needed when applying for a job that requires special knowledge or special training. In cases where you get a job outside of your specialty, there is no need for such documents.

Medical book

A medical book is needed only for employees of certain areas of activity – trade, education, medicine, catering. This document is drawn up by the centers of state sanitary and epidemiological surveillance. Remember that if you are applying for a job in trade, children’s institutions, etc., then the absence of a medical book will be the reason for refusing to apply for a job.

Additional documents

Taking into account the specifics of work in some cases, the Labor Code, other federal laws, decrees of the President of the Russian Federation and resolutions of the Government of the Russian Federation may provide for the need to present additional documents when concluding an employment contract (for example, a certificate of no criminal record , certificates of the absence of the fact of bringing to administrative responsibility for the consumption of narcotic drugs, medical reports on the absence of contraindications to work and other documents).

The list of all documents necessary for concluding an employment contract is enshrined in the Labor Code (Article 65), as well as (in some cases) in other federal laws, decrees of the President of the Russian Federation and government decrees.
