What people say About us
“Playhouse Academy has been, and continues to be, such an amazing experience for our family. Leaving our first born for the first time and having to return to work was a very emotional experience for us. During those moments, Playhouse always gave us the comfort and support we needed to enable us to entrust our children in someone else’s care. They have always been flexible and accommodating, but most of all they have loved and nurtured our two daughters whole heartedly. Our oldest daughter was overly prepared for Kindergarten when leaving Playhouse, but most importantly, she loved school, her teachers, and learning! Our second daughter has one more year left, and we will be so sad when the time comes for us to finally leave the PH Family.”
Nicole and Jeremiah Donati
“The Playhouse Academy has been a blessing in our family’s life since we discovered them six years ago. As working parents looking for the best option in childcare and education, we could not be more satisfied. It has always provided our three children the perfect mix of love, play and learning. The icing on the cake was feedback we got from our Tanglewood Kindergarten teacher two years ago, the four Playhouse kids in her class were heads and shoulders above the rest in kinder preparedness. “
Michele and Stephen Polanski
“We love Playhouse! I can’t recommend it enough. My son spent four years at Playhouse and we are so grateful for the education he has received. The curriculum is well thought out and I know my son is ready for kindergarten. The teachers are so loving and I believe that Playhouse contributed significantly to his social and emotional development. I trust them completely with educating and caring for my children. I am so excited for my younger children to start. Playhouse has become like family to us.”
Jennifer and Grady McLeland
“Sending our son to Playhouse Academy is one of the best parenting decisions we have ever made! He was challenged academically, taught to think critically and make decisions for himself, and he is perfectly prepared for kindergarten. More importantly, than all of those things though, he was loved, nurtured and so well cared for by the most amazing group of teachers. Playhouse is more than an outstanding preschool, they become your family. “
Becky and Taylor Escott
“Playhouse Academy has been such a gift to our family. The incredible curriculum, paired with teacher’s ability to provide experienced individualized instruction, has helped each one of our three children develop into confident young learners. We are beyond grateful for the dedication that the entire staff displays towards nurturing and motivating our children.”
Ashley Pettibon
“Our eldest daughter is a graduate of Playhouse Academy, so when it came time for our youngest to start preschool, there was no question where she would go. This wonderful community has far exceeded our family’s expectations. The entire team at Playhouse Academy has always been available and shown tremendous compassion for each child every day. Not only did our children learn foundational social skills, but they were also challenged academically. This was clearly evident when our eldest daughter went into Kindergarten- Her Kinder teacher asked what preschool a small group of students attended because they were far better prepared…. They all went to Playhouse! This little school is filled with so much love, we are truly lucky to be part of it.”

But once you explore your options, you might be surprised by what affordable childcare you’re able to find. Nonprofits and state agencies provide options that will help your kids learn new skills, have fun and forge friendships — all on a budget.
First, knowing how much you can afford to spend will help you evaluate your options. Once you know your budget, a little planning and research will go a long way.
Here are some affordable childcare options and ways you may be able to lower your costs.

Tips to save money on childcare in Texas
Care.com offers the following tips to parents:
- Sign up for a Dependent Care Account — If your employer offers this type of Flexible Spending Account, you can set aside up to $5,000 tax-free to pay for childcare.
- Apply your childcare tax credit — This credit allows you to itemize up to $8,000 in expenses per child per year, up to a $16,000 annual cap per family. For more information on federal and state childcare assistance, visit childcareaware.org.
- Talk to Human Resources — Some workplaces offer childcare reimbursements for working parents. Check in with your HR department about money-saving benefits. If your company has an on-site daycare, it can save you money while offering peace of mind.
- Nanny share — If you have friends who are also looking for childcare, you can hire one nanny to watch the kids from both families and share the cost. Parents can also share childcare by swapping days. For example, you take the kids for three days and your neighbor or friend takes them for two days, or vice versa.

90,000 United Russia deputies fulfilled the New Year wishes of children. News of Vologda. Society
The Vologda Oblast has joined the All-Russian campaign “Wish Tree”. Each deputy from the “United Russia” could remove the balloon with the wish of the child and fulfill it. We have collected some stories of young Vologda residents and their wizards.
The start of the regional charity event “Christmas Tree of Wishes” was given by the head of the region Oleg Kuvshinnikov and the chairman of the ZSO Andrey Lutsenko. The action is being held by the regional branch of the United Russia party for the third year already.
“Baskets with children’s wishes hang on the Christmas tree. These are the dreams of children from low-income and large families, children with disabilities, as well as children of SVO participants. Wishes come to us by e-mail, through social networks, from our volunteer assistants. Over the past years, about 1500 messages have been accepted. They were entered in the “Book of Desires”, – said the speaker of the ZSO Andriy Lutsenko.
The deputies of the State Duma, the Legislative Assembly of the region, the city parliament decided to fulfill the wishes of the Vologda children.
So, a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Valentina Artamonova, pulled out a ball with the desires of four kids at once from the Belikov family. Three-year-old Tanya dreamed of a doll house, three-year-old Vanya wanted a toy tractor. Katya is eight years old, she made a big kinder surprise. Their older brother Saveliy made a constructor as a gift.
“Wishing Tree” is an opportunity to feel like a little magician and make a childhood dream come true. I love this action very much, always with a special feeling of excitement I remove the ball from the Christmas tree and read the wishes made by the children. And with great pleasure I go to the store to buy gifts”, — Valentina Artamonova shared her impressions.
The deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the region, Marina Denisova, fulfilled the dream of two sisters from school No. 25 in Vologda. The twins Zhenya and Ksyusha wanted to visit the new art gallery and the Vologda theaters.
“Amazing twins! Activists participate in all the activities of the school and the city, volunteers, and I am very glad that we met with them on such a joyful occasion. The girls were given sweet gifts, pleasant surprises, and, of course, they discussed their cultural program, which they will soon go to, ” – writes Marina Denisova in the social network.
13-year-old Alina received new skates as a gift from the regional parliamentarian Larisa Kozhevina. The deputy also invited the schoolgirl to an ice fairy tale, in which she herself took part. And after the performance, Larisa Kogevin herself rode with the girl. In addition, the people’s choice gave Alina’s three-year-old brother a set of walkie-talkies, and her six-year-old sister Sofia a musical toy.
I visited the role of Santa Claus and the deputy of the ZSO Roman Zavarin. He came to visit the three brothers Egor, Artyom and Kostya and their grandmother, presented the designer and toys.
“So much sincere joy and delight can only be seen on the faces of children. I’m glad the brothers liked the toys. I immediately remembered my childhood and the expectation of a miracle in the New Year. May the dreams of all children in the world come true! Then we adults will be happy too”, — Roman Zavarin shares his impressions.
Five-year-old Ivan at the end of last year received air hockey from the Mayor Yuri Sapozhnikov. Yury Vladimirovich also participates in the action not for the first year.
In total, this year in the Vologda Oblast, 25 “Christmas Trees of Wishes” were installed in local branches of the United Russia party in 22 districts and districts, in Vologda and Cherepovets, as well as in the regional executive committee of the party.
“Until December 23, applications were accepted from large, low-income families and families with disabled children – parents and even children called local branches and the RIK of the party. In particular, 139 families applied to the executive committee, for each of which a ball was determined. Each could have from one to several desires”, – commented in the press service of the Vologda regional branch of the United Russia party.
In total, the Vologda regional branch of the United Russia party accepted 1,243 wishes from Vologda children, which is 24% more than last year. Father Frost’s helpers will make children’s dreams come true until the end of February.
