Time to go to kindergarten

Time to go to kindergarten

New kindergartens are being built, alternative groups are appearing, the queue for children’s educational institutions has been significantly reduced, and besides, it has become electronic. Parents got the opportunity to monitor her progress in real time.

Lyudmila Pozdneeva, head of the education department, tells how the system of preschool education is developing in our district.

– Lyudmila Petrovna, let’s start with a simple one – how many kindergartens do we have, and how many children attend them?

– Our district is quite large, and there are also a lot of kindergartens: 31 preschool institutions are engaged in the upbringing and education of young Gulkeviches. Most of the gardens, 20 to be exact, operate in rural areas, 11 in the district center. There are 4218 pupils in all kindergartens now. Every year there are more and more children, and our preschool teachers go further, trying to give them the opportunity to fully develop, acquire important skills and knowledge. In kindergartens, new forms of work are constantly emerging and traditional ones are being improved. For example, short stay groups, of which we have 9in different kindergartens, 62 children visit them. Children come in the morning, attend all classes, communicate with peers, play, they are fed twice, but they do not stay for a quiet hour.

Family education groups work as an alternative to pre-school education. They are opened at home by mothers with 3 or more children. Groups are attached to kindergartens, mothers-educators receive the necessary methodological assistance, their work is controlled. We have 13 such groups, there are 39 children in them.

On the basis of some kindergartens, play support centers for children who do not attend kindergarten operate free of charge. While the kids are communicating with their peers, parents can get the necessary advice from specialists: teachers, psychologists, music and sports workers, etc.

Advice centres, early intervention services (for disabled children) can also provide you with the necessary assistance in raising and educating children.

– Lyudmila Petrovna, at what age are children admitted to kindergarten?

– The earliest age when a child can be registered in a kindergarten is a year. We have one nursery group for such pupils, in kindergarten No. 28 “Cherry” in the nursery.

Children from the age of one and a half are accepted in 27 kindergartens, 4 institutions work with children from 4 to 7 years old. That is, the age of entry to kindergarten is not strictly regulated, parents themselves choose the time when their son or daughter will go to preschool. But, of course, we have to take into account the possibilities of the children’s institution, the availability of places for kids.

– How can I get a place in a kindergarten?

– To get a place in a kindergarten, parents (legal representatives) must apply to the MFC for registration. After 10 days, they will receive a notification with a registration number. The number is a kind of key with which you can independently track how the queue is progressing. To help parents, automated information systems “E-services. Education”, “Network city. Education”. The place of the child in the queue depends on the age, the availability of quotas, special health opportunities (special groups), the restrictions on the list of kindergartens for finding a place and the preferences of the parents – in which institution they want to place the baby.

Kindergartens are being filled from 1 June to 1 September. If there are vacancies, after September 1, additional staffing is carried out. For example, circumstances have changed in the family, and the child stayed at home, or the garden cannot be visited for medical reasons. Other children are taken to the vacated places in strict accordance with the queue.

In order not to “lose” anyone, re-registration is carried out in April, this work is organized daily from 8 am to 5 pm. So parents confirm their desire to get a place in kindergarten this year. When re-registering, parents can make changes to the application if the surname, first name, patronymic or place of residence, phone number have changed, and also if there is a desire to choose another kindergarten.

In May, heads of preschool institutions receive lists of electronic recruitment, contact parents, explain where, when and how to get a ticket. Specialists of the Department of Education travel to the settlements and issue vouchers to those on the waiting list.
