My name is Breonna and I am a Licensed Pediatric Nurse with a Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health. Myhusband is a veteran from the United States Marines that is currently working as a Respiratory Therapist. We have completed additional training in childcare development and both hold college degrees!
A Wee Bit of Care is a Licensed In-home Daycare with flat weekly rates for both part time and full time care. We offer a safe, nurturing environment that fosters social, emotional and cognitive development. We encourage Montessori curriculum and provide meals and snacks for the entire week. A Wee Bit of care is the perfect balance between fun and educational!
A little more information about the programs we offer are highlighted below:
. Our full-time and part-time programs are a flat weekly rate that allows care up to 5 days a week.
. We offer 2 part-time programs that consist of Mornings (7 a.m. to 12 p.m.) and Afternoons (12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.). Our part-time program consist of one meal and snack. Tuition starts at $209 per week.
. We offer a full-time program from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. which consist of 2 meals and 2 snacks. Tuition starts at $269 per week.
. Each program includes curriculum and supplies because we are education based. Each child will take an assessment to test where they are and curriculum will build upon the results of the assessment.

Asia Resort & Casino

Where the Palazzo Casino and Resort currently stands (next to the Venetian Hotel and Casino and the Sands Expo and Convention Center) an Asian-themed casino was proposed but rejected in the current Palazzo project. ^[4]

Alon Las Vegas

The proposed luxury hotel and casino is located on the Las Vegas Strip on the former site of the New Frontier Hotel and Casino, announced in 2015. ^[5] The project was called into question after Crown Resorts announced in late 2016 that it was suspending its involvement in the development. ^[6] In December 2016, Crown announced that it was putting the project on hold and trying to sell its investment. Remaining partner Andrew Pascal announced that he was looking for other partners to continue the project. However, in May 2017, the land was put up for sale. ^[7] The land was later purchased by Steve Wynn.

Beau Rivage

Steve Wynn, who bought and demolished the Dunes Casino Hotel, originally planned to build a modern hotel in the middle of an artificial lake. He later built the Bellagio with an artificial lake in front of the hotel. ^{[ citation needed ]} This name was later used by Wynn for the resort built in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Caribbean Casino

In 1988 on a fenced-in vacant lot in Flamingo Road. Near the sign was a scale model of a galleon. For several years, this was all that stood on the site. The empty lot was the source of many of the locals’ jokes until, in the 1990s, the ship, which was later damaged in a fire started by a homeless person, was demolished and the lot became the site of a fatality. Carnival

City by the Bay Resort and Casino

A San Francisco-themed resort was proposed for the New Frontier Hotel and Casino site. The project was rejected in favor of the Swiss theme. Montreux, which was also eventually cancelled. ^[4]

Countryland USA

A country-style resort was planned to be built on the site of the former house. El Rancho Hotel and Casino. For several years, El Rancho’s sign stood with the words “Coming Soon – Future Home of the U.S. Countryside.” ^[10] ^[11]

Crown Las Vegas

The Crown Las Vegas hotel, formerly known as the Las Vegas Tower, was to be an ultra-tall skyscraper built on the site of the former Wet ‘n Wild water park. In March 2008, the project was canceled and the property was put up for sale. ^[20]

Desert Kingdom

In 1993, ITT Sheraton purchased the Desert Inn Casino and announced plans to turn the large parking lot into a Bali themed resort complementary to the Desert Inn hotel. The project was never developed and the site is now hosted by Wynn Las Vegas. ^[4]

DeVille Casino

After establishing the Landmark Hotel and Casino at Convention Center Drive and selling it to Howard Hughes, developer Frank Carroll built the DeVille Casino across the street from Landmark at 900 Convention Center Drive in 1969. Chips were made for casinos (and they are popular collectibles), but the casino never opened. ^[21] The building was renovated in 1992 and under the name “Sport of Kings” was closed nine months later. ^[22] It became the site of The Beach nightclub, which was demolished in 2007 to make way for a planned 600-unit tower. ^[23] this was never built. A Harley-Davidson-themed resort was proposed with hotel towers shaped like giant exhaust pipes, but was never built. ^[4]

Jockey Club Casino

The Jockey Club is a condominium and timeshare resort at 3700 Las Vegas Boulevard South. It was planned to open a casino, chips were made for its use, but the casino was never opened. ^[28]

Cactus Keith

By April 1994 Gold Coast Hotel and Casino owner Michael Gaughan was interested in building a hotel-casino in North Las Vegas, ^[29] on the northeast corner of Rancho Drive north and Carey Avenue. January 19In 1995, the city planning commission approved the redevelopment of the land for a hotel-casino. The resort, which will be called Kactus Kate’s, will be built by the Gold Coast Hotel/Casino Limited. Because of Senate Bill 1999, which placed restrictions on casinos in the area, Coast Resorts had a 2002 deadline to build a casino. The hotel had to be over 100 feet (30 m) tall and Coast Resorts had to notify the Federal Aviation Administration of the final plans because the site is located less than 300 meters from the runway at North Las Vegas Airport. ^[32] In January 2001, the Station Casino purchased a 29-acre (12 ha) site for 9million dollars. Coast Resorts President Harlan Braaten said, “Because we’ve seen competition intensify in this area in terms of the size of the competing properties, we just felt we had to build something much bigger than we planned to compete with Texas Station and Santa Station.” -Fe. London Resort and Casino

This announced project was to be dedicated to the city of London, as well as replicas of the city’s landmarks. The project was to be built on land opposite the Luxor Hotel and Casino. A second London-style resort was to be built on the former land of the El Rancho Hotel and Casino. None of the projects have yet begun construction. ^[4]

London, Las Vegas

This was a proposed three-stage project inspired by London design. When completed, the 38.5-acre (15.5 ha) site will have 1,300 hotel rooms, a casino, a 500-foot (152.4 m) tall Ferris wheel called Skyvue (partly built), and 550,000 square feet (51 097 square meters) of restaurants and shops – all of which will be architectural copies of various British landmarks and quarters. ^[33] The project was to be built on land opposite the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip where, as of July 2020, a partially built Skyvue still stands. The wheel was to be “Phase I of London, Las Vegas”.

Montreux Resort

This Swiss-style resort was to be built on the site of the former New Frontier Hotel and Casino, but was eventually cancelled. ^[34]

Moon Resort and Casino

Proposed by Canadian developer Michael Henderson, this is a planned 10,000 rooms, 250 acres (1.0 km ² ) Moon-style casino resort. ^[35] Gaming experts doubt it will ever be built in Las Vegas, simply because the space planned for it is too large for the Las Vegas Strip. ^[4]

NewStar 2000

Proposed by NevStar Gaming in 1998, the NevStar 2000 entertainment complex in North Las Vegas would have included a hotel and casino, ^[36] but the project faced opposition from nearby residents who didn’t want a casino in the area. ^[37] ^[38] The project was canceled when NevStar Gaming filed for bankruptcy in December 1999. ^[12]

North Coast/Boyd Gaming Project

In May 2003, Casino Coast planned to build a North Coast casino hotel at the southwest corner of Centennial Parkway and Lamb Boulevard in North Las Vegas. The project will be built on approximately 40 acres (16 ha) of vacant land surrounded by other land that has also not been developed. At that time, the North Las Vegas Planning Commission had to review requests for rezoning and project approval. The project was not planned to be built for at least another four years after the completion of the interchange at Lamb Boulevard and nearby Interstate 15, and the completion of the viaduct over nearby railroad tracks. Faroah’s Realm was planned as a $1.2 billion gaming, hospitality and theme park to be built on 710 acres (290 ha) at Pebble Road and Las Vegas Boulevard, in five miles south of the Las Vegas Strip. ^[49] ^[1] Construction was approved in October 1988 ^[49] with Silano Development Group as developer. ^[50]

The project will feature an Egyptian theme, including two 12-storey crystal pyramids, each containing 300 apartments. Frank Gambella, project president, stated that funding was available and groundbreaking was planned for March or April 1989. The harsh “Rodents” easily overcame the “polar tension” (the so-called specific polar depression) and taught a master class of northern fun. Oh yeah, it’s worth saying that the “Rodents” is not just a band, this rock band is for children. In their performance, we heard the rock ballad “Farewell, Kindergarten”, the killer rock and roll “I won’t put on warm leggings” and the heavy compositions “Hysteria”, “School Canteen”, “Boogers”. Along the way, the frontman of the band, Larry Gryzunov, taught his violent listeners, making terrible faces and rolling on the floor, to play an imaginary
electric guitar, which the young Norilsk residents repeated with pleasure. Then, together with the audience, the group members mastered the cry of a gorilla, the cry of Tarzan, the growl of a hippopotamus, but most importantly, the Finnish guys taught the kids to throw a real killer tantrum that would melt any ice and make the permafrost crack. What is especially interesting: the brutal-sounding electric and bass guitars turned out to be completely organic with ridiculous and funny poems about two laying hens, sweets with ketchup and frightened boogers.

The musicians of the “Rodents” group, as if by accident, discovered the infantilism inherent in any rock music, and immediately found their most grateful audience, who gladly throws a terrible tantrum on demand.

In general, the ice has broken, or rather, there is no ice yet – the weather in Norilsk is surprisingly warm, perhaps because northern art, like a powerful heater, is able to melt the ice.

Oksana Kushlyaeva. The festival is held for the first time. How was the program formed, does it have an internal dramaturgy? And what is the concept, the most important task of the Parallels festival?

Ekaterina Gaeva. Festivals have been held in Norilsk before, but there has never been an international one. The theater received financial support from Norilsk Nickel, and since I had already been a curator at past festivals, they turned to me for help. They came up with the idea that it should be a festival of arts of the northern cities of the world, they came up with the name “Parallels”. And it turned out that conceptually we are tied to “geography”. Since the festival of northern cities, I suggested inviting participants from those countries that cross the Arctic Circle, and from our country – those cities that are between the sixtieth and seventieth parallels, because no one works beyond the Arctic Circle except the Norilsk Drama Theater. This is how it all came together conceptually.

O.K. So you selected the performances for the festival alone?

E. G. Yes, I watched all the performances. It was necessary to quickly put together a program that would be of interest to the main sponsor, customer, city. And since I worked at various festivals, where I saw many interesting European performances, I tried to bring the best, taking into account, of course, the “geography” of the participants.

O.K. As a result, the festival program included a large percentage of children’s performances …

E. G. Two things were important to me: that the genres that most clearly characterize the participating cities should be presented at the festival, and that it should be a festival for all ages. In our northern cities (in Khanty-Mansiysk, Surgut, Norilsk) there is an extremely high birth rate, there are a lot of children, and they do not have their own theater. There is no Youth Theater, no puppet theater – there is absolutely nowhere to go. In addition, the festival needs to grow its audience.

OK Tell me, if the festival is announced as dedicated to northern art in general, then why does the theater program still dominate? The rest of the art is represented by musicians from Finland and Canada, the Helsinki Street Fashion photo exhibition, and an exhibition of young designers from the Norilsk College of Art?

E. G. Of course, the festival strives to be synthetic. And we plan to subsequently include such a section as architecture, because the northern architecture is very special … But still, the Norilsk spectator is, first of all, a theatrical spectator. “Little” non-repertory performances don’t go here – it’s simply not profitable, people go to Norilsk for some other reason, and historically it so happened that very good actors have worked here since the theater was founded. As you know, Georgy Zhzhenov, Innokenty Smoktunovsky played in the Norilsk Theater … It was immediately clear that the theater program would be one of the most important components of the festival. The musical program is also important, just like the modern fashion of Helsinki and Norilsk, these are exactly the parallels in northern art that we are trying to identify.

OK Do you plan to include northern cinema in the festival program in the future, because it is also quite special?

Asia Resort and Casino

Where Palazzo Casino and Resort is currently located (adjacent to the Venetian Hotel and Casino and Sands Expo and Convention Center), an Asian-style casino was proposed but rejected for the current Palazzo project.

A proposed luxury hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip on the site of the former New Frontier Hotel and Casino was announced in 2015. The project was called into question after Crown Resorts announced in late 2016 that it was suspending its involvement in the development. In December 2016, Crown announced that it was stopping the project and trying to sell its investment. In 1999, Bob Stupak planned a 400-foot-tall (122 m) themed resort after RMS Titanic to be built on a 10-acre (4 ha) property he owned near downtown Las Vegas. The resort was to have 1,200 rooms, 800 of which were to be used as timeshare to finance the project. That same year, planning commissioners denied Stupak’s request to rezonate to allow the construction of a hotel. The project was later planned at the site of the former El Rancho Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip, but was rejected by the Las Vegas City Council.

Victoria Bay

Victoria Bay was planned by Steve Wynne until it was canceled in 1981 due to high costs. It would have been built on the Las Vegas Strip. It was originally planned for what would later be occupied by the Excalibur Hotel and Casino. Wynn later wanted to build one near the Sahara and Silver Bird.

W Las Vegas

Main article: W Las Vegas

W Las Vegas was proposed in August 2005 as a $1.7 billion joint project between Starwood and Edge Resorts, scheduled to open in 2008. The project will include a 75,000 sq. Feet (7,000 m ² ) and approximately 3,000 hotels, condominiums, and residential units. The project was closed in May 2007 after Starwood pulled out of the deal.

Wally’s Van Wheel

Wally’s Wagon Wheel was to be designed by Walter Weiss through his Magna Leisure Partnership. The project was proposed for 2200 South Boulder Highway in Henderson, between Wagon Wheel Drive and Roberts Road near Henderson’s western Old Vegas theme park. At the end of February 19’88 Manga Leisure Partnership purchased a 15.5 acre property. At the time, Weiss had tentative plans for a 112-room Western-style hotel, then known as the Wagon Wheel Hotel and Casino. The Wagon Wheel was expected to cost $15 million and funding for this project, which Weiss expected to open in early 1990, has yet to be secured. The project, which will include a 55,000 sq. Feet (5100 m ² ), was to be built in two phases.

By October 1991, Wally’s Wagon Wheel had not been built due to funding difficulties. That same month, the Henderson Planning Commission voted to give Weiss more time to move the project forward. At the time, the project was to include 204 hotel rooms and was built on 13.30 acres (5.38 ha). Weiss noted that the nearby successful Sam’s Town Casino Hotel opened with 204 rooms, and he believed that his project would be successful if it opened with the same number of rooms for good luck. By the end of 19’92 Weiss still hasn’t received funding for Wally’s Wagon Wheel. At the time, the project was the largest of the five casinos planned for Henderson. The three-story project was to include 200 rooms, two restaurants, a lounge theater for country and western entertainment, and a large bingo room. Weiss stated that groundbreaking was scheduled for May 1993 with an expected opening in June 1994. After opening, the hotel-casino will employ about 600 people.

Weiss met with nearby residents to discuss the project, and he changed the original design to include a large buffer zone between the houses and the casino hotel. On November 1994 The Henderson Planning Commission voted to recommend approval of the area change requested by Weiss as part of the redesign. At that time, the project included a one-story casino and a four-story hotel with 400 rooms. In December 1994, the Henderson City Council rejected Weiss’ plans for a 200-foot (61 m) buffer.

In July 1997, the undeveloped project received its sixth extension from the Henderson Planning Commission for use and architectural review. On August 19’97, the Henderson City Council approved a sixth extension, but rejected Weiss’ appeal for a one-year extension, instead giving him six months to extend the project. By that time, Magna Leisure Partnership had invested $1.7 million in the project. As of 1998, the project was expected to cost $80 million, employ at least 1,200 people, and the proposed site had expanded to 19 acres (7 ha). At the time, Weiss stated that he was close to securing funding for the project from the casino operator. The project was never built.

Wild Wild West

Not to be confused with the Wild Wild West gambling hall and hotel.

As of 1993, Station Casinos owned a 27-acre (11 ha) property on Boulder Highway with casino development potential. The site was located across the street from the Sam’s Town Casino Hotel. In January 1998, Crescent Real Estate Equities Co. announced plans to purchase Station Casinos, which had intended to sell the land prior to this announcement. By March 1998, Station Casinos planned to build a hotel/casino on land that was occupied by a vacant mall. The complex will be known as the Wild Wild West and will target local residents.

The purchase of Crescent Station Casinos failed in August 1998, and Station Casinos subsequently slowed down their plans for the project. By the end of the year, the project received approval from the Clark County Planning Commission for a 273,000 sq. Feet (25,400 m ²) and a hotel with 504 rooms. No construction schedule was announced, and Station Casinos had already decided not to start any new projects until 2000. Station Casinos sold undeveloped land for $11.2 million to Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. in April 2004.

World Port

In 2000, Howard Bullock, David Guffin and their partner Tom Gonzalez transferred ownership of the Glass Pool Inn property to their group, known as New World, with plans for a mega variety. New World bought several other nearby motels to amass a 77-acre (31 ha) site located on the Las Vegas Strip and east of Mandalay Bay. In January 2001, plans were announced for World Port Resorts, a megaportage consisting of casino hotels, a convention center and a fine arts facility. The project was to be built on 77 acres (31 ha) of land, part of which was occupied by the Glass Pool Inn.

World Trade Center

Be located at 925 East Desert Inn Road. Leonard Schoen, co-founder of truck rental company U-Haul, purchased the property, formerly the Chaparral Hotel and Casino, in 1996 and converted it into a World Trade Center hotel. An application was made for a gaming license, but when it was discovered that two of Schoen’s closest associates had been convicted of felonies, the application was denied in 1998. He withdrew his application and died in a car accident at 1999, which was ruled a suicide. The cards and game chips were produced for the World Trade Center casino but never used. The building has since been demolished and is currently a parking lot, part of the Las Vegas Convention Center Annex Building.

World Wrestling Federation

A World Wrestling Federation (WWF) themed casino resort has been proposed for property adjacent to Interstate 15 across from Mandalay Bay. The project never made it past the proposal stage. The ground it was supposed to stand on is now called the Allegiant Stadium.

WWF also offered to open a project on the site once used by the Clarion Hotel and Casino, which was demolished in 2015 and turned into a parking lot.

Xanadu

In February 1976, the Clark County Commission approved the construction of the 23-story Xanadu Resort on the Las Vegas Strip at the corner of South Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue. The resort will include approximately 1,700 hotel rooms and a casino, as well as meeting rooms, an exhibition hall, a dining room and indoor tennis courts. The resort was to be built by Tandy McGinnis of Bowling Green, Kentucky and his Xanadu Corporation and it was to be built on 48.6 acres (19.7 ha) owned by Howard Downes, a resident of Coral Gables, Florida. Xanadu will have a pyramidal design and cost $150 million. It would have been the first themed mega-resort. Much information and many artefacts from the project are held at the University of Nevada Library at Las Vegas.
