Wonderful place! Children’s playground in the midst of tropical flora. With a child, it is quite possible to hang out there for several hours. Be sure to bring your own mosquito repellent. There they offer them for free, but we still got bitten badly. Also take food with you, you can eat it at the tables in the garden or on the terrace of the reading room. They have many good children’s books. It is very convenient in rainy weather. My four year old loved it there. We will definitely come there again.

    Worth a stop

    March 2022 • Family fun

Great little stopover. My kids (9 and 5, 5) were busy for about an hour or so. They offered a small boat and the staff were friendly. My kids enjoyed exploring the property and the rope swing was the best. Nice hidden gem.

    Great find!

    Feb. 2020 • Family Vacation

We came here on a chilly day and it was perfect for our little one. She loved every part (she has a vivid imagination).
A lot of people are commenting on the entry fee – I understand it’s frustrating when you don’t have anything, it’s more frustrating for adults, but I guess people with large families will find paying for each child even more frustrating.

    Overvalued, overvalued

    Oct. 2019

The idea of this kindergarten is amazing and commendable. However, the on-site service was clearly overdue. It didn’t seem safe and there were a few pieces that seemed to fall apart. The toys were dirty. There were no butterflies in the butterfly garden. If it was free with a recommended fee it would be acceptable but pay $40. 00 for 4 adults which took less than an hour and was in such a deplorable state was unacceptable. In addition, the parking lot was so overgrown with roots that it was almost unusable.

    Great for kids to explore

    Aug. 2019

My girls 7, 5 and 3 loved to explore the different parts of the garden. With a few squeals of glee. We walked about a mile from downtown and the kids were still running around the garden for an hour.

    What magic!

    Apr. 2019 • Family Vacation

This garden is wonderful. Not only can kids play dress up (hundreds of costumes!!!), there’s a pirate ship, a mountain of tires, a reading area, and just little magical nooks and crannies. It was fantastic and fantastic. My only complaint is that the adult fee is quite high – it doesn’t mean you would come without your kids and you can’t leave them unattended (or so I guess ;)). All in all, this is a pleasant place and I would recommend it.

    Wonderful day in the garden

    Oct. 2018 • Family vacation

Today I visited this garden with my 4 year old child. I thought it would be an hour of entertainment. We ended up staying for 4 hours when there were a lot of kids. She absolutely LOVED this magical place. We will be back again and again, what a gem.

    Nice, creative place

    June 2018 • Family vacation

Our family visited this garden twice. This is a great place for imagination for kids. I would think it’s best for kids aged 2 to 5. There are places to run, jump, climb and swing. Cool artworks line up. Bring a picnic as there is no food but a few tables for food. Also remember to bring a lot of clot with you as there are a large number of bugs. Mistakes and somewhat high price are the reasons why I gave it 4 stars instead of five. But if it’s in your budget, I highly recommend going.

Seibert Architects designs Florida home for indoor and outdoor living

A glassed-in courtyard dominates this Florida residence designed by Seibert Architects, illuminating interiors and circulating around the building.

Built earlier this year, the Schechter Residence is a low-ceiling home offering its owners a beach-centric lifestyle in Sarasota, Florida.

The Schechter residence was guided by the concept of indoor and outdoor living.

Located just a few meters from the shore, the 372 square meter house is surrounded by a garden with soft ledges leading to the water.

“The pool and waterfront courtyard are terraced to provide a flat, open space for waterfront activities, children playing, and to facilitate transition to the water,” said Seibert Architects, also based in Sarasota.

Seibert Architects completed the design with vaulted ceilings.

The house entrance sequence leads to a lush courtyard. This exterior space, surrounded by glass walls, brings light into the building and also offers a place for the owners’ children to play.

“The courtyard, surrounded by glass on three sides, enriches movement through the home and enhances the entrance, bringing light, vegetation and sky into the experience,” said Seibert Architects.

Inside, bright colors stand out against the white walls.

The living quarters and master bedroom are arranged in a suite of spaces facing the water. These rooms have much higher ceilings and vaulted ceilings to make room for skylights.

“These curved shapes contrast with the design’s more serious, straight-line nature,” said Seibert Architects. “Its inhabitants describe them as uplifting.”

Open shelving separating these spaces helps define each one without completely covering them.

The west front of the house has tall sliding glass doors leading to the pool deck.

    This home reflects Florida lifestyle.

This open space is protected by a large retractable canopy and screened enclosure to protect users from harsh direct sunlight and insects.

This provides a year-round connection between the indoor areas and the pool and backyard.

The house is located in Sarasota.

The rest of the bedrooms are located on the opposite side of the house facing the street.

The two children’s bedrooms share a play area away from the living room, while the entrance to the guest bedroom is located closer to the foyer for more privacy.
