Welcome to kindergarten

Ashlawn kindergarten team in Ashlawn primary school.

Mrs. Patricia Butler

patricia.butler @apswa.us

Welcome to Ashlon Kindergarten! I’m so glad you’re in my class this year. I have been teaching for many years and this is my 10th year of teaching at a kindergarten in Ashlon. This summer I vacationed in Maine with my husband, Mr. Butler, my two sons, Jack (senior at WL) and Ben (freshman at WL), and our dog Stella. I love sailing, reading and making trips to the ice cream shop. It’s my pleasure to meet you, introduce you to our assistant teacher, Ms. Abida, and share with you my favorite Charlie of the Ranch book series. I love Ashlon and the wonderful kindergarten team and I know you do too!

Ms. Caroline DeBlasis

[email protected]

I am so excited to join the Ashlawn community this school year! After teaching first grade and split kindergarten/first grade in Prince William County for the past three years, I am passionate about teaching in the community I live in! I was born and raised in a small town in Maryland. I have lived in Northern Virginia since 2014 when I started at George Mason University to complete my degree in early childhood education. After receiving a master’s degree in 2019I moved to Arlington County for the GMU curriculum and instructions and have loved it ever since! When I’m not teaching, I love gardening, traveling, cooking, trying new restaurants and foods, meeting friends and of course reading (especially by the pool!)! I am so excited to meet all of you and be part of the warm and diverse Ashlawn community this year. We will have so much fun learning together!

Mrs. Susan DeMattis

susan.dematties @apswa.us

I am so excited to start my ninth year as an Ashlawn member! For over 20 years I have taught in various elementary special education classes, including my current role as an elementary autonomous special education teacher. I grew up in New York, lived with my family in Chicago for six years, and now live in Virginia. I have a master’s degree in early childhood education and a dual bachelor’s degree in elementary education and special education and have taught in New York, Maryland and Virginia. When I’m not in Ashlon, I love to travel, read and spend time with my family. Two of my children are hockey players: my daughter plays hockey in college and my son is in high school and plays locally. My favorite part of studying at Ashlon is creating a warm, caring environment with my students and colleagues where we work to learn new skills, have fun and celebrate each of our successes. I am incredibly lucky to have the support of my students’ families and the entire Ashlon community!

Mrs. Cara Lewis

[email protected]
I am so excited to join the Ashlawn team! This is my 8th year and my first year back since my husband and I welcomed our son in April 2021! I was born in Portland, Oregon and raised in Loveland, Ohio. I graduated from Ohio State University, Go Buckeyes! I received my master’s degree from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I can’t wait to teach in the community where I live!

Mrs. Isabelle Isakson Popovitch

isabelle.isakson @apsva.us

I have been teaching at the kindergarten in Ashlon for six years now. My husband Jason and I live in Washington, DC, about a mile and a half from the United States Capitol. In November 6, our son Charlie was born! I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and moved to DC 2021 years ago. We have a cute rescue dog named Sammy. In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, running outdoors, watching Gilmore Girls and The Great British Baking, and exercising at OrangeTheory. I am an avid Georgia Bulldaug fan and love watching college football in the fall. I love all things Disney and I love Disney dance parties. I’m so excited to be your kindergarten teacher this year and I can’t wait to meet you!

Lauren Walsh
lauren.walsh @apswa.us

Hello everyone! I’m Ms. Walsh and I’ve been working at a kindergarten in Ashlon for 14 years. Before moving to Arlington, I grew up in Northville, Michigan and studied elementary education at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Shortly after I started teaching, I received a master’s degree in teaching reading from the University of Virginia. One of the best parts of kindergarten is watching our children grow and change throughout the year. I love seeing our children progress academically, socially and emotionally. My favorite thing about studying at Ashlon is our Global Citizenship project. I love that we are focused on raising kids who are passionate about making their school, community and world a better place. Since 2009When I first moved here, I knew Ashlone was a special place. I love our community and am so grateful to be here!

SUN SCHOOL PARENT CARE

Dear parents! Since September 1, a full-time psychologist of the Management Company, Pavel Taruntaev, has been working in our kindergarten. Pavel Taruntaev is a child psychologist with more than 10 years of experience, in the Sun School network since 2016. Pavel specializes in working with the mental and communicative abilities of children, working with emotional and behavioral difficulties (aggression, anxiety, fears, etc.), consulting on parent-child relationships, upbringing, development and training. Pavel will work in two main areas:
– work with parents and child-parent relationships;
– advice on the upbringing, development and behavior of the child.

DIRECTION 1: “Happy parent – happy child.” Unfortunately, all the difficulties that we face in adult life (various crises, changes, doubts, problems at work, divorce, depression, loss of interest in life, the appearance of a second child, the death of loved ones, etc.) are reflected in our children. The child is connected with parents psychologically and emotionally and reads all our feelings and experiences. Therefore, it is so important to create a psychologically stable and favorable environment for him to live and stay. Our psychologist is ready to help and suggest how to do it.

DIRECTION 2: Raising children is a voluminous and painstaking job, and sometimes parents do not know how to properly behave with a child, how to act or how to cope with this or that situation. At different stages of development and maturation of a child, we may encounter undesirable behavior, such as aggression, provocation, manipulation, tantrums, negative emotions. We must not forget about the adaptation to kindergarten! Our psychologist is ready to give recommendations on how to interact with the child and track the dynamics together with you.

With care for you, your Sun School Gold Star

September 1

September 1 – Knowledge Day

An amazing and wonderful holiday Knowledge Day in kindergarten, perhaps not as solemn and exciting as at school, but because of this not less important. A new period begins in the life of children: classes, conversations, holidays that help to better understand the world around them, learn something, get to know themselves, and determine their interests. We congratulate everyone – parents, children, educators on this holiday! This day marks the beginning of the new school year. Let it be exciting, interesting and bring new knowledge, discoveries and new friends!

31 August

Did you know that we have mental arithmetic classes in the kindergarten?

Mental arithmetic is a different approach to the development of counting skills, more interesting and fun for children, as the lessons are played in a playful way. The child, concentrating on the process, trains attention and visual memory. By learning to focus on specific tasks, the child will concentrate on other activities as well.
A system of well-chosen exercises and tasks helps to improve the mood of the child, reduce the level of anxiety and stress from the study load. Children become more communicative, calm and ready for any difficulties. In mental arithmetic classes, children not only count, but also play educational board games, conduct physical education sessions, perform neuropsychological gymnastics and train in solving logical problems.

Baby yoga at Sun School Zolotaya Zvezda

Children have been doing yoga in our kindergarten for almost a year now. Children’s yoga is not yoga for adults – we play, developing the body and brain. Despite the fact that children have not been practicing for so long, you can already see good results: better balances are obtained, such as the cat pose with an outstretched arm and leg, or the tree pose. This suggests not only that the muscles have become stronger, but also that coordination has improved.
One of our children’s favorite exercises is shavasana, and if before it was very difficult for them to lie down in it even for 30 seconds, now they lie still, (!) For a couple of minutes. It’s great. And the most joyful thing is that all children go to yoga in a good mood!

Summer Camp at Sun School Golden Star

Summer is in full swing, which means it’s time for active walks, interesting activities, new acquaintances and unforgettable impressions! In just one month, our guys managed to find out what happened to our planet Earth for 4.5 billion years! How is this possible, you might think? Everything is very simple if you have very inquisitive children, in each of whom a real researcher lives, and educators who will reveal all the secrets of our planet and more in a fun and interesting way. We have already learned what space and celestial bodies are, met and made friends with the inhabitants of the oceans, learned to distinguish between dinosaurs and even made our own tame tyrannosaurus rex. And ahead of us is the study of the history of mankind and the discovery of the secrets of the future! And we also walk a lot, have already managed to get a tan and have learned to play dodgeball, football and arrange fights with water pistols. Is your summer as eventful and fun as ours?

June 1st

Graduation 2022!

First graduation. First mantle. And not the first performance of the guys. How fun they were! And now this company of graduates will surprise, delight, discover something interesting for new friends at school. We helped them open up, understand themselves, learn the world, and now they will carry their knowledge, openness and kindness further. And we will miss and wait for a visit. Thank you guys for opening up to us. Thanks to the parents who trusted our garden! Congratulations to our children on the completion of a fun and entertaining journey in kindergarten and the beginning of an equally interesting school life!

May 23rd

Sun School Pajama Party Gold Star

Our core curriculum is coming to an end and we decided to throw a pajama party for the kids to celebrate the end of the school year and the start of summer camp. The pajama party began with a fun dressing up in your favorite costumes and comfortable sleepwear, because every party should have its own dress code. Children played crocodile, had pillow fights and tried on blankets like superhero capes. We also built a cute house out of mats and danced to children’s songs. Our guys have already put away their notebooks and pens, got out pajamas, toys and light clothes! How do you prepare for hot days and summer camp?

12 May

Acting skills at Sun School Gold Star

Acting classes for children allow a child to discover talent, get rid of complexes and clamps, increase their self-esteem and learn comfortable interaction with surrounding children and adults. Even if the child does not plan to become an actor, thanks to the classes, he will definitely become a more developed, versatile and liberated person! The lesson consists of several stages: bodily, respiratory, voice and speech warm-up, working out articulatory letter combinations through outdoor games, exercises for fantasy and emancipation. Each next lesson in the elements is more difficult than the previous one. Sound combinations that are more difficult to pronounce are used, or children need to use more imagination. Acting courses help the guys remove the barrier in communication and feel self-confidence. We wish our young actors to improve their talents more and more, and our experienced teachers will definitely help them in this!

April 13

Additional classes at Sun School Gold Star

To enable your child to develop comprehensively, our kindergarten offers additional circles and sections for children that will reveal new talents and hobbies of children. These are fun yoga classes, choreography, acting, robotics, mental arithmetic, lessons with a speech therapist for those who want to learn how to speak correctly, piano and vocal music lessons, as well as now much needed individual English classes with an expat teacher!
All additional classes are held according to the established schedule inside our garden, which is especially convenient for working parents. Teachers of additional classes have a special education and constantly improve their skills, which helps our children achieve success and develop cognitive motivation.

March 17

International Women’s Day at Sun School Golden Star

Spring has come, and with it the first spring holiday – March 8, the holiday of all women: mothers, grandmothers, sisters.
On March 17 and 18, morning performances dedicated to International Women’s Day were held in our kindergarten.
Mothers and grandmothers of pupils were invited to matinees. Children prepared creative gifts for their favorite guests: songs, poems and warm congratulations. Interesting competitions with mothers and grandmothers did not leave anyone indifferent. And of course, the children were very happy to give flowers and handmade gifts at the end of the matinee.
The festive events undoubtedly brought an atmosphere of spring joy and happiness to the life of the kindergarten.
And we from the whole team congratulate all girls, girls, mothers and grandmothers on International Women’s Day!

February 25

Cooking classes

Winter is coming to an end and we decided to organize a cooking class for our children. As you know, what is prepared with one’s own hands is tastier. Children from the older and middle groups were involved in all stages of cooking, the teachers only controlled the process and helped a little in preparing the dish. I would like to note that the guys coped with their tasks perfectly well and prepared delicious cookies for themselves and their parents in order to taste the first spring days.

27 January

Winter at Sun School Gold Star continues!

The New Year holidays are over, but the winter continues, and with it the snow fun.
What could be more fun than building a snowman? Probably just snowdrift jumps… or snow angels? Have you tried treading paths in the snow?
And in winter you can go skating, skiing, snowboarding. The middle group talked about winter sports for a whole week!
And the younger group learned a lot of winter fairy tales, discovered the secrets of the winter forest and learned how to keep warm even in the most severe frost – all you need to do is jump and run.
Our oldest pupils also got acquainted with winter fairy tales, and also found out who lives at the North Pole, and paid special attention to improving their health in winter.

January 24

January 29 — Doors open day!

On January 29, we invite you to visit us! Be sure to take your children with you. In addition to entertainment, you will go on tours of the garden, get to know the caregivers and expats, the manager and owners of the garden.

December 27

Sun School New Year Golden Star

December is the most magical month of the year, especially when you are surrounded by children who believe in magic. This year it came to our garden!
Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden came to our New Year’s party. The guys from the senior and middle groups pleased them with poems, songs and dances. That’s just a gloomy Grinch tried to steal gifts! Fortunately, the children managed to cheer him up with a skit and English songs, and everyone got presents anyway.
Our kids took part in the New Year’s master class for the holiday, danced around the Christmas tree, danced and played a lot with the Snow Maiden.
We wish all children and parents a Happy New Year!

Nov 28

Trick or treat?

At the end of October we celebrated
scary-fun Halloween with expat teachers. The boys got to know
all the traditions of the holiday: they sang their favorite English songs, presented
the most terrible costumes and images, with closed eyes, made applications in
the form of skeletons and trained accuracy with the help of toy pumpkins. In the end
the holiday was waiting for the guys “Trick or treat” with themed treats and
funny dances.

October 1st

Autumn Festival at Sun School Golden Star!

October turned out to be rather gloomy and cold, but it was warm and colorful in our garden, because we had the first annual Autumn Day holiday!
Russian Autumn and Scarecrow came to visit the guys from the middle and senior groups, and together they sang songs, danced round dances and even staged their first performance!
And our kids played games and took part in a drawing master class. And most importantly: all the guys shared this day with their moms and dads!

September 20

Knowledge Day at Sun School Gold Star!

September for our guys started not with the classic line in the rain, but with the visit of superheroes!
Superman and Superwoman arranged competitions for children for ingenuity, endurance, and even revealed the super-ability of each! At the end of the holiday, the guys received photo diaries of their summer adventures at the Academy of Amazing Sciences and saw real fireworks from balloons and confetti.
We congratulate all the children and teachers on the start of the new school year!

August 30

Academy of Science and Magic Sun School

Summer has come to an end, and our young wizards have successfully graduated from Sun School Academy of Science and Magic! The guys from the senior group successfully passed their exams and received diplomas of young wizards. And the middle group, together with the teacher, staged the final relay race and made hats for graduates!

Come visit us!

ABC concept

A unique development concept helps develop a bright and confident personality. We have combined health care, the formation of intelligence and communication skills of children into a harmonious system – ABC.

  • Abilities (intelligence)

Development of intelligence through games and with pleasure.

  • Body (health)

Formation of a child’s strong immunity and care for a healthy lifestyle.

  • Communication (socialization)

Building relationships with others and developing teamwork skills.

Our advantages

Video surveillance

All our gardens are equipped with video surveillance systems. You can see what your child is doing at any time through the smartphone application, which is especially important during the adaptation period.

The best educators

Mandatory requirements for candidates: higher pedagogical education, work experience, ability to find an approach to the child. All educators undergo regular training at the Sun School corporate university.

English

Our gardens are bilingual, which means that afternoon games and educational activities are held in English only.

Safety

A safe environment is the basis of children’s space: special furniture without sharp corners made of environmentally friendly materials, certified toys, hypoallergenic detergents. Particular attention is paid to preventive measures: the premises are regularly ventilated, the air is disinfected using a recirculator, quartzization is carried out in accordance with SanPiN.

Healthy food

Balanced meals five times a day: two breakfasts, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The individual characteristics of the child are taken into account: allergies, food intolerances. The menu has been developed taking into account the current SanPiN and collections of recipes recommended for feeding children in kindergartens.

Children’s insurance

Kindergartens have an accident insurance system for children. Insurance coverage is valid not only in the garden, but also anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day.

Our team:

  • Morgan Vincent Idoko (USA)

    Expat teacher: senior group

Education: University of North Dakota. Specialty “Bachelor of Psychology”.
RUDN, master. Specialty “International Law of Immigration Issues”.

About me: I am 28 years old and from Atlanta, Georgia. Over the past 4 years, I have worked in many kindergartens and language schools in Moscow, and also conducted individual English classes with children and adults. The main goal of my work for me is to create comfortable conditions for learning English, thanks to which children form correct pronunciation, a rich vocabulary and motivation for further language learning from an early age.

I have a lot of energy, drive and goals that I strive for, and most importantly, a great desire to achieve professional heights. What I enjoy the most is sharing this with the people around me and seeing them get motivated to succeed.

  • Olga Goler

    Teacher: senior group

Education: Volgograd Social and Pedagogical College: specialty “Primary school teacher”; State budgetary professional institution “Zhirinovsky Pedagogical College”: specialty “Preschool education, educator of preschool children.”

About me: Why did I choose the profession of an educator? So many people ask.

Kindergarten is never boring, neither for children nor for adults. Every day, whether it be news or an amazing discovery, not a day passes without adventure.

What does it mean to me to be a teacher? For me, this is daily communication with my pupils, the opportunity to learn something new with them. Children develop, and I change with them. All children are individual, each of them is unique and my task is to find the key to each.

My work is creative: it is a constant reincarnation from one image to another. Depending on the circumstances, I have to act in different roles: ecologist, architect, rescuer, doctor. I am a teacher who knows everything and teaches everything, and a playmate, and a close person who will understand everything and help in difficult times.

I think that I can do a lot so that in the future not only me, but
and, most importantly, my pupils will be appreciated.

  • Vladislav Kravchenko

    Teacher: middle group

Education: Moscow State Regional University. Specialty “Social pedagogue-psychologist”.

About me : In the process of getting an education, my practice was largely connected with working with children of preschool and primary school age. When I graduated from the university, I was sure that my calling was to help children in everything. Working with preschoolers really makes me happy: the honesty, curiosity and sociability of our children cannot but inspire.

Every day I come to work with pleasure to see how children develop in our kindergarten: they acquire knowledge and skills, learn to negotiate with each other and recognize themselves.

In professional terms, the work of a teacher makes it possible not only to apply the experience gained earlier, but also to constantly learn something new and useful.

  • Zavadko Anastasia

    Teacher: junior group

Education: Professional training at Vessel International Center for Consulting and Education. Specialty “Teacher (Educator)”.
Kemerovo State University. Specialty “Preschool defectology”.

About myself: I believe that my main task as a teacher is to help a child to understand the world, to suggest all possible ways for this. To promote the development of cognitive activity of the child, to promote the mastery of practical skills. Encourage children to explore, observe, think, discuss, argue, prove, explore, experiment, and the list is endless.
Working in a kindergarten means living childhood with every child. To see the world through his eyes, to be surprised and learn with him, to be indispensable when he needs help and support. Therefore, the essence of the educational method lies in the fact that, first of all, you need to study the child. Observe, try to understand, penetrate into the inner world of each of the children. And only those who know how to share its sorrows and anxieties, joys and successes can know this special world. Working in a kindergarten, I never doubted the choice of my profession. They believe in you, they hope for you, they expect understanding and devotion from you. And you correspond to all this and try to be on top.

  • Tokareva Olga Nikolaevna

    Medical worker

Education: Kaliningrad Medical School, Moscow Region. Specialty “Nurse”.
Experience in pediatrics – 38 years.

About myself: I am a member of the All-Russian public organization “Association of Nurses of Russia”, I have a certificate in the specialty “Nursing in Pediatrics”, I have knowledge of medical legislation, sanitary standards.
In my opinion, a nurse in a kindergarten not only monitors the health of children, checks the quality and preparation of baby food and conducts quarantine measures, but also assists the children in sensitive moments, supports and consoles them if necessary. Working with children inspires me: every morning I see how they happily run to their favorite garden, go for a walk with pleasure and share their impressions of the past lesson.

  • Alena Trifonova

    Music director

Education: Moscow State Institute of Cinematography, specialty “Teacher of pop vocals”.

About me: I love music and love to share it. It inspires me that for children I can become a guide to the world of music, help them fall in love with it as much as I do.
In every child I see a personality with its own character and interests. I enjoy watching children grow up and help them develop their talents.

In response, I receive a huge amount of positive emotions from children. Next to the children I feel young, alive and energetic. I pay special attention to the creative development of children: together we love to talk, play a lot, create crafts from different materials. I am sure that through love and kindness my pupils will grow up happy and their world of childhood will be beautiful and playful, pure and gentle.

  • Belimova Anastasia

    Junior teacher: middle group

About me: I consider stress resistance, rationality and patience to be important features that every junior teacher should possess. My main task is to correctly allocate time and attention by devoting most of my day to children.
I have a lot of other tasks related to the technical work of the garden – I need to do everything in time and not remain indifferent to the details. It is extremely important for a child that an adult is next to him: physically and emotionally.
It is especially important for me to pay attention to the development of the emotional-volitional sphere of each child. Toddlers need to be accompanied on the path of knowing their emotions, take into account desires, needs, help to survive stress as safely and environmentally as possible.
The fundamental, meaning and integral part of my work is love for children. It is love that helps me sincerely rejoice every day when meeting our guys, and miss them after the end of the working day.

  • Progress Mapani (South Africa)

Education: Saratov State Medical University, TESOL certificate for teaching English to children.

After entering a university in Russia, I decided to continue teaching children by working in children’s English-speaking camps during the summer holidays. Parent reviews

  • Valentina, Sonya’s mother (2 years old)

My husband and I took the choice of a kindergarten for the child very carefully, since at that time the child was 1.5 years old. We opted for the kindergarten of the Sun School network in the residential complex Zolotaya Zvezda. Friends recommended this network to us, their child attended a kindergarten of this network in another district before school.
In my opinion, this is a very good kindergarten, both for the adaptation of kids and for older children.
The very concept of Sun School about harmonious development is very close to everyone. The adaptation of my child went quite quickly. In the kindergarten, it is possible to be present with the child during the adaptation period. Groups are small, and the group of kids is the smallest. Educators find an approach to each child, carry them in their arms during the adaptation period, surround them with care.
I am very pleased with the variety of activities that educators organize daily for kids. They have no time to be bored, the guys are really engaged. It is especially important during this period the development of speech, that our educator does this every day in a playful way. All babies are individual and everyone starts talking at different ages, but my child at 2 years old began to say separate sentences! Of course, I see the merit of the kindergarten in this. In the evenings and on weekends, I can play and do with the child what is interesting for both of us. You can not engage in special developmental activities.
And I can’t help but mention the English lessons. Before, I had no idea how to captivate kids with English. It turned out that everything is simple: the ingenuity of an expat teacher, funny English songs, and most importantly, how the child likes it – it’s amazing. In my opinion, English is one of my child’s favorite activities. At the age of 2, did you count meatballs in English in a plate with your mother at dinner?))
For us, parents, interaction with educators and the kindergarten manager is also important. In this kindergarten, they know how to listen and hear, they will always discuss exciting issues and go to a meeting.
But the main indicator that the kindergarten has been chosen correctly is a happy kid who can already tell in the evening how the day went!

  • Anna, Dima’s mother (7 years old) Watch video

Dima has been attending Sun School Kindergarten for over two years now. As a mother, I am satisfied that my son is always happy to go to kindergarten, the child is happy, they are engaged with him. He is perfectly prepared for school – they were ready to take him to school a year ago. He writes, reads, counts, in Russian, in English, speaks English fluently, does not hold back, enters into a conversation, switches between languages completely freely. He really does not want to leave the kindergarten, he promises to come to visit every day.
We are very satisfied and recommend this garden to everyone!

  • Pavel, Liza’s father (4 years old) Watch video

I would like to praise and thank our wonderful kindergarten. Our child has been studying here for three years now. Our whole family loves it here. All systems are perfectly fine-tuned, from child safety and excellent varied nutrition to a multicultural education program with the study of English. Matinees are regularly held, all holidays are celebrated, including with the participation of parents. I would also like to express my gratitude to the entire teaching staff, the owner of the garden, Ivanna, and the manager, Elena – thank you for taking care of our children!

  • Tatyana, Anya’s mother (2 years old)

Tatyana, Anya’s mother (2 years old)

I want to express my deep gratitude to the teachers and personally the head of the garden Ivanna. I started to take my daughter to the garden at 1 year and 8 months, a year has passed. During this time, they learned to eat, dress, go to the toilet on their own. Children’s education is top notch. Every day, new lessons are interesting, informative, fun! I regularly look at the photo report for the day and am surprised at the preparation and patience of the educators – the inexhaustible invention of the lessons, competent presentation (at the age of 2-3 years, you need to be able to interest the child in order to draw, and mold, and stick), smiles and an individual approach to each child. Sometimes I send a photo of my daughter from lessons to other mothers I know, they are surprised how you can make the head of a “funny” lion out of simple maple leaves, how to draw an abstract picture out of a balloon and paints, and make an applique Christmas tree out of cotton wool and beans.

Now we are 2 years and 7 months old – we can count up to 20, we know almost all the letters and we can even type words on the computer. The nutrition of children is also important. We are allergic to milk, for children with a similar problem in the garden a special dairy-free menu has been developed, while the quality and variety are in no way inferior to the main menu of the garden. The garden chef even bakes dairy-free birthday cakes for kids with allergies. Thank you for the thoroughness in your work and sensitivity to each pupil!

  • Irina, mother of Yarik (6 years old)

We really like our English kindergarten. Since September, Yarik has been going there for a full day, in the summer he went for half a day. The leap in its development was colossal. He does not mind when I correct him and ask him to pronounce the word correctly. This is the work of speech therapist Anna. He sometimes switches to English words and replaces Russian ones with them. It doesn’t happen often, but when you say a word in English, he easily says its translation. He watches English cartoons and YouTube videos. He says he understands everything. His teacher Morgan did a good job. Yarik talks a lot on various topics and draws very interesting conclusions. This time I am not preparing for school, but the wonderful teachers Nadia and Naira. He correctly takes a pencil in his hand. He does a lot of creative work. Delicious and varied food for our little one, the menu is well composed, he eats a little, and this is our big problem, but apparently he has enough. At home, he also eats little. Every morning Sveta meets him and checks his health: he takes his temperature and performs an examination. When you take your child home, they always tell you what you ate, what to look for, etc. If something is urgent, they write and we quickly resolve all issues. Our senior group consists mainly of boys and there are a few children in it, so each individual approach. Sports or music activities every day. And of course, walks. They send photos and have video surveillance. Many thanks to Ivanna, who manages all processes, always polite and helpful. If there is an opportunity to drive to such a kindergarten, do not even hesitate, bring it, the difference from the usual garden is huge. Me, Danya and Vanya had to attend a bunch of additional circles so that they were prepared for school and developed. I also made sure to work with them at home. And Yarik has everything included!

  • Evgenia, Bella’s mother (4 years old)

I think that we are very lucky with the garden! The best one I’ve come across! We have been visiting since opening. They brought a child at the age of 2, and now he already knows English, knows how to count and knows letters. But this is not the most important thing! The main thing is the attitude towards children, a high level of nutrition, emotional development, physical and musical activity! It is very important that a child from the garden does not bring “sores”, because. At the entrance, children are checked by a health worker! Any issues are resolved by competent specialists and managers who are very involved in the process and really monitor the quality of the garden in all its aspects!

  • Marina, mother of Nastya (3 years old) Watch video

We went to the kindergarten Sun School Golden Star almost from the opening. happy
that got here. I love the Sun School network. very attentive
manager and owner Ivanna, very nice staff, attentive
everyone’s attitude towards children. Got into the garden right after quarantine 20 years,
daughter was 1.5. Quickly and gently adapted and walked a month later
full day. The child moved to the state garden, but still remembers his
the first kindergarten and educators) They were taken from Novogireev. Insanely grateful
to the whole team for the warmth, kindness and comfort that they created for our
    daughters. Thanks a lot!

  • Natalia, Nikita’s mother (6 years old) Watch video

My son Nikita went to Sun School Gold Star for 1.5 years. I know for sure that I am a mother hen. But here I am completely calm and I didn’t even use video surveillance every day or even every month.
I know for sure that my little baby Nikita will be fed, he will definitely like it. And in the evening, when I pick him up, I will hear: “Mom, why are you picking me up, I like it here so much.
I know for sure that my son Nikita knows English more than I do.
I know for sure that my son Nikita has made real friends here.
And the team is just wonderful and they have become not just our friends, but a real family.
Thank you, Sun School Gold Star!

  • Andrey, Alice’s father Watch video

Sun School Golden Star is one of the best gardens in my opinion.
Daughter Alice went here in a group of 3-4. Here they treat each child very carefully: an individual approach in both upbringing and nutrition. The child learned a lot: for this age, it was surprising for me that a child can do this, make crafts, draw pictures, pronounce phrases, sing songs in English – it was very nice. The staff here is highly professional. It’s a shame we had to move.

  • Evgenia, mother of twins Sofia and Anastasia Watch video

My name is Evgenia Obraztsova and I am the mother of twins Sofia and Anastasia, who have been attending Sun School for several months now. During this time, the children very quickly adapted to the team of kids and educators. They have grown very well in their development and have mastered the English language quite well. We studied English from the very birth, but of course, by their 3 years old, the children had not yet begun to speak and did not speak fluently on some simple topics. But already after several months of attending the Sun School kindergarten, after classes with a native speaker, the children spoke quite freely on simple topics in English. They easily ask questions and answer questions in English. This happened literally during these few months of intensive studies, communication with a native speaker.

And also the children are very socially adapted and become somehow more mature and conscious. Of course, I see the merit of the Sun School kindergarten in this. The system of teaching, both sciences, such as mathematics, elementary reading, of course, English, and physical education, is very well balanced: children go in for sports both in Russian and in English. They perfectly understand what they want from them in any of these languages, and develop both morally and physically. And this, in general, is the most beautiful thing that a private kindergarten can give.

I am very glad that we have found such a wonderful team and can attend wonderful classes with wonderful teachers.

I thank Sun School for this opportunity. Thank you!
