Welcome to our La Petite Academy educational daycare in Birmingham, AL! My name is Tab, the school director, and I have been with La Petite Academy for eight years.
Whether it’s providing loving care for Infants, participating in activities in our Preschool programs, or engaging in one of the many other programs offered at La Petite, I love what I get to do each day and that is to watch so many little ones learn and grow!
Parents, teachers, staff, and management here in Birmingham all have an important role of encouraging our children to become active learners. Teachers participate in training opportunities throughout the year.

Education: Associate’s Degree in Early Child Care Infants-Two’s
Certifications: Fire & Safety, CPR/First Aid
I became the assistant director in January 2019, I love my job and my new position. I received my degree in early child care from Trenholm State Community College in Montgomery, AL in 2017.
Working with children is my passion and the families at La Petite Academy are my number one priority.

Curriculum and Kindergarten Preparedness
Since 1995, every Odyssey graduate who has been in our program for at least two years has been able to read and write upon entering Kindergarten. No other preschool program will prepare your child for long-term academic success better than Odyssey Early Schools.
Internet Video Monitoring
Odyssey is proud to offer secure Internet Video Monitoring to all of our families. This service allows our parents to check in on their child at any time during the school day.
Quality and Consistency of Staff and Management
Odyssey guarantees that every preschool classroom will have at least one teacher with a four-year college degree in a field related to teaching children and that our entire staff is certified in both Infant and Child CPR standards. We enjoy a teacher turnover rate less than half the national average and our management and ownership team has been together since 1999, guaranteeing a consistency of vision and outstanding service to our customers.

Big, open classrooms with lots of natural light and abundant learning resources create a fun learning environment for your child. HUGE playgrounds feature water play areas, multiple climbing structures, cushy and clean synthetic grass, awnings to protect your child from the sun and covered play areas that allow our kids to go outside even on rainy days, all making for an incredible outdoor play experience.
